Basically a pond with a walking path around it. Im told its good for bird photography at certain times of the day and year. Decent for a walk around a pond. No restrooms.
The landscaping could be cleaned up a bit. More benches needed to sit by the water. Nice walk.
Free parking, free to visit, plan on 45 minutes to walk around the lake loop. Path is flat, wide, well-maintained compressed gravel. Quite a few birds. Dog friendly, 3 places with poop bags, 2 garbage cans. No bathrooms or water. At dusk / sunset the birds are active & vocal - however theres also mosquitoes.
This trail is lightly used. Well maintained.certain users will litter the trail in, what, communicate their hatred of righteousness I suppose, but, it is on purpose.
Very nice bike or walking trail around the pond with benches spaced out teenagers to go and have Serenity and time to think this is the place
It was a chill walk with awesome wild-life in a semi-natural habitat
Wonderful place to take your dog for a walk.
Vinny winny took a happy walk and smelled the ground and poopied :)
Beautiful little Gem. Probably a one mile walk around the pond on walking trails. On a sunny day you will see Alligators sunning along with turtles. Many birds, dont forget your camera.
Beautiful nature habitat with lots of scenic views for photography.
This is a great little park with an easy 1 mile walk and lots of interesting things to see. There were Ibis, Snowy Egrets, Anhinga, ducks, snakes, turtles ... all visible in one walk around the pond! Its also dog-friendly, with waste disposal stations located on the path. This is worth visiting if youre in the area!
Great to walk around, has no bathrooms or playground but plenty of nature to see
Went today walk was niceHad 2 benches to relax a bit but no water/restroom amenities
Great park for birding hiking and cycling. Saw a Rosetta spoonbill. The great blue heron were nesting in the top of the trees. Park is small but worth the trip. No facilities
Small but quiet and peaceful. Not a lot of people here the times I have been here. Nice place to walk the dog and clear the mind. Again, small but very representative of a lot of the state.
Unfortunately, my pictures of the birds didnt come out well, and I didnt even snap one of the horned owl chick, because I was so busy being fascinated. The gator came out all right (of course). Pretty place. Nice walk. Plenty of birds to add to your list, whether its just a daily list, or possibly a life bird.
A great little loop to walk on a nice day. There are tons of different birds, and even as a non-birdwatcher I think its fun to bring a pair of binoculars. If youre there under the right conditions, you might even spot a gator! Theres an owl nest just off the main trail as well.
This is a well known local nature place located in the heart of Port Charlotte. Perfect for a quick get a way stress release walk, a birders paradise or just having time with nature.
Absolutely beautiful and peaceful place to walk! Interesting wildlife to veiw as well
Love the place. Lots of wildlife.
Great place for a little walk and see some wildlife
Beautiful light display every year
Nice place to see some nature!
Great Easter Sunrise Service withMurdock Baptist Church
Birding is quite good here. Depending upon the time of year you will see resident birds and/or migrating birds. There are also a couple of alligators in residence, one is about 8-9 feet long.Takes about 25 minutes to walk around. Nice for a bit of exercise and nature.
Great walking trail around Ollies Pond. Approx. 1 Mlle smooth flat surface. You see all the wildlife on the pond, lots of birds, turtles and sometimes a gator. You also walk through Pine lands, and a variety of natural Florida wild areas.Easy to get to with ample parking. It would be a 5/star if it had washroom facilities. So go before you go.
Quiet yourself wait and enjoy.
Always a good place for a walk! We have yet to see any alligators here but its beautiful and we see lots of birds.
Great walking or jogging track. Lots of wildlife. Watch out for the friendly turtles that will follow you looking for hand outs. I suggest a pocket full of grapes.
Gorgeous littlt pond with to s of birds tucked into a quiet neighborhood.
Beautiful place to walk!
Pretty nice walking trail but no restrooms and its a good ways from any facilities. Make sure your kids have a potty break before attempting the full circle trail around the lake. The lily pads and wild birds are abundant. Next time I will take my camera.
We really enjoyed walking the trail around the pond. Beautiful.
A very beautiful Park to take photos of birds and it friendly.
I didnt see any alligators, but did enjoy a nice walk around the pond.
Awesome park full of wildlife
Great place for a walk. Nice level trail around the lake with a good amount of wildlife for viewing. GPS doesnt take you to the parking lot which is on the north side of the park.
Great and peaceful!
Nice dirt path to take a stroll around. The entire walk was a little over a mile. We saw many different types of birds and plants along the path and was all around enjoyable. Would recommend shoes vs. sandals as your feet will get dirty.
A diamond in the rough... a great walk...
This park is in my top 10 parks to visit in port charlotte.. More places to sit would be nice.. But this aside. Quiet and peaceful.. Not a huge turn out at this park.over lookes the pond with gators ..Large herons birds. And other wild life.. Turtles ducks and fish to name a few.
It is what it is, a pond. Theres a trail around the outside. No restrooms or water. The trail is clean but relatively short. Its shaded in parts and there are a few benches scattered throughout. Wildlife, mostly water birds, was present but nothing exotic just standard Florida fare, ibis, herons, hawks.
Beautiful park with a really nice trail!!!
Nice quiet park to walk around, not very busy usually.
Cute out of the way place to walk the dogs around the park. Bird watchers everywhere yet dont let your dogs near their precious equipment lol * grass is getting a bit high so bring your mosquito spray
Nice size pond! But, not too big to not want to walk around. Nicely wooded on one side. You can spot many different types of birds in the winter months. Beware of crocs!
Great to watch the wild life and walk around
Wild life to see. Relaxing well groomed paths to walk in. Love going there.
Wonderful place to walk and enjoy the wild life.
Nice 1 mile walk around a cute pond with birds, ducks, turtles and gators no issue. Good walking surface.
Great place to bird watch and take a nice walk
The lake in the park is very large. There is a lot of birdlife in and around the lake. There were also eagles and osprey flying overhead. It was interesting seeing great blue heron nesting in the tops of very tall pines trees.
Great place for wildlife watching. A good diversity of birds frequent the pond, a couple gators and tortoise
Love this quick walk about!
I accidentally found this place when I was 12 (30 yrs ago). Ive always found it peaceful and relaxing. One of my favorite places to escape from the hustle & bustle of every day life. The one draw back is the water is 100% accessible from the path, (no fencing). Which at its furthest point is only about 20. Basically you can walk from the trail straight into the water. Also means alligators can exit the pond. If you do visit and bring your children &/or pets. Please, please, please keep an eye on them.
Great walking/running trail with a beautiful scenery!
Wonderful bird spot, saw my first Wood Duck here, typically a diverse variety of birds, some rare. Have even seen owls in the woods on the North side. A long walk around the pond however they have recently added a second bench. Watch out for resident alligator(s) and snakes.
A real nice park with a walk around the pond. There are a few benches along the walk. Lots of different birds and plants.
Great place with lots of birds
This park is a great secluded place in the heart of Port Charlotte. There is a path all the way around the pond that is partially shaded. It is great for dog walking, running, and wildlife observations.
Love this place. Very relaxing walk around the pond
Pond with a trail around it.. if thats what you expect... Then you are good to go.
Lovely lake with nature trail
A nice level walk and a chance to see wildlife.
Beautiful little park. Took about 45 minutes to walk the whole pond. Stopping for pictures of course.
Nice peaceful place to walk around the pond and view cranes, ducks, turtles and a gator or two.
Short scenic walk on walking path with birds galore!
Awesome little place to jog around
Awesome walking trail! Spotted a mother and baby owl too!
Great place for a 5k
Nice walking area around the pond. Approximately one mile walk occasionally you do have to be aware of alligators
I have a 5 star because I love nature. Its a minimalist park with no playground or restroom facilities, but if nature and wildlife are your thing, it hits the spot
Great place for walking trail to spot birds and wildlife. Take your camera
Nice place to walk around.not a good place to try to fish.not alot of open areas.plus didnt catch a single bass

We love taking our dog here.
Cool little spot, owls everywhere
We saw the Aligator!
Beautifully done with bridges and a very long scenic walking trail around the watershed/pond area. Safe clean park full of nature and a few alligators here and there.
Its not really a park it doesnt have restrooms but is nice to run around or if you want to do exercises by yourself I do recommended its very shady so you can stay away from the Sun its a good place for a walk if you want to relax
Such an adorable little park! Love it!
After spending 4 days at Fort Myers Beach and flying out of Punta Gorda airport early the following morning, we decided to spend our final night in Punta Gorda. We drove up to Port Charlotte for food and decided a walk would be nice before heading back to the hotel for the night. I searched google maps and came upon Ollies Pond Park, and it appeared to have everything I was looking for - a walking path, serene setting, and wildlife. Being from Wisconsin, we dont see many of the birds found in Florida and it was wonderful to see the Anhinga, Mottle Ducks, Black-bellied Whistling Ducks, Purple Gallinule, Reddish Egrets, and even a fairly large gator! I would love to have a place like this in my neighborhood. What a gem!
A lot of birds. Nice nature walk.
Small and off main road. Did not explore but plan to go back to explore.
Beautiful walk, gorgeous pond.. I seen butterflies, squirrels, ducks, and hawks. Will definitely go back. Fantastic views.
Great for dog walking
Love this park, the birds, and the nice 1-mile path around the perimeter.
Well maintained trail around pond is just over a mile long. Plenty of wildlife to be seen here (you will frequently see alligators and their babies).
Good place to walk your dogs but keep them on a leash and watch out for gators
Great view, nice path around the pond, alot of animals to see
Nice place to walk around. Watçhing the eagles and gators.
