A great nature trail close to town. My dog and I enjoyed the 3 mile hike.
Not much space to park and the website says 24hrs although the sigh says otherwise. It is a nice scenic walk to get out of town though
A lovely trail to walk!
Awesome little trail!
A quiet wooded trail to walk your dog and not too far out of town.
Great trail so close to town. Lush forest with many birds. Unfortunately the access to the 101 trailhead is sketchy and walking back down on Black Diamond Road is getting more dangerous with increasing traffic. Alternatively there is parking at the upper trailhead.
A pretty trail with sharp sloping into woods on one side of trail and fence with yards and houses against the other side of the trail. There were neighborhood dogs barking from their yards at us in some parts of the trail. Lots of lush greenery. Pretty easy trail with a little bit of hills. Typical forest growth, ferns, trees. Lots of birds, good trail for birdwatching.
Actually a nice trail above Valley Creek. Not all flat. Plenty of ups and downs, so not just a stroll in the forest. I walked north to south. BIG draw back is that the north end is just a 2 car parking spot on Hwy 101. If you park there, try to back in so you can see on-coming traffic when you try to leave. I hiked up the trail and walked back on surface roads - side street then down Black Diamond Road back to my vehicle. (wanted to know where the trail came out) Kind of neat having a trail so close to town that makes civilization disappear so quickly.
Pretty primitive trail, a nice place to get a half hour+ walk in the woods that more or less starts in town.
Great place for my kids and myself to go
