By far one of the best hikes I’ve done so far and just the drive up there is incredible. There’s these deer up there that are so friendly and they lick your car to get salt. When I finished my hike there were kick marks all down the side of my car! If you don’t have crampons or poles take the badger valley side DOWN to the lake not up. It’s way easier because the path is covered in snow and you’re way better off just going straight down the rocks off trail. I had to do that on the way up and it was not fun. Just keep an eye on where the trail is. Such a gorgeous hike and there’s some crazy cool trout in that lake with orange fins.

Road a little rough in some places but doable for most off road adventures. Starts at Hurricane Ridge parking lot, from there it is 8 miles of dirt road to trail head. Views of Mt Olympus and Blue Glacier along the way there. Enjoy, well worth the 16 mile detour.

The drive was a bit crazy! But it looked pretty! We didnt hike the whole thing or much of it honestly but it was a grand time.

Great view from the top.The hike is not covered in most places.Go through the first route and come up through the other so that you get experience of both the valley and hills .

8 mile, 1 1/2 lanes dirt road with sheer drops, no rails, and passing traffic. Fine if youre an adept driver. Unsafe if you cant comfortably navigate passing cars in these conditions. No reason to drive out this road unless you are going to one of the trails at the terminus.

Views from the ridge on the Grand Pass Trail are fantastic. Trailhead and road offers adequate parking and a vault toilet.

Awesome hiking and views. Narrow, snaking, 7 mile dirt road to get there is a bit of a white knuckle drive at times. Not for the faint hearted, RVs, cars in bad shape.

Beautiful trail with a fantastic view of the mountains. Weve hiked to Grand Lake a few times and its just the right length to get in a solid workout going in and out.

Amazing place. Only supposed to be available to permitted hikers. Road leading to it is narrow and a lot of traffic can make it dangerous. If youre not backpacking, stick to Hurricane Ridge, you arent missing much. But if you get the chance to backpack out from here, its amazing.

One of the best scenic trail I have been to. The road is decently paved with gravel. Very safe and most vehicles with all wheel drive should do fine. The route is very scenic with great view of the snow capped mountains and valleys. Sunset was awesome and was very photogenic. If you have enough time can walk some distance to get to the peak of one of the mountains. Highly recommend it. Parking is limited. Saw people who went to Ski during sunset.

Great views from the track. Loved seeing the marmot and squirrels. The walk on the road was average. Would be lovely if the track went through the forest

Obstruction Point is absolutely breathtaking. We camped here overnight after hiking up at Hurricane Ridge. The drive down to the trail itself is a bit sketchy, so you have to be very careful. But the views were so worth it! We hiked down to Badger Valley, and slept in our car in the main parking lot.The most beautiful sunset Ive ever seen! There are many deer to keep you company as well! Even though we went in July, it was still extremely cold. Dress warm! Next time we plan to do a day hike over to Grand and Moose Lake.
