Nice easy walk.. small but beautiful waterfalls... Plenty of resting areas. Across the street there is a beautiful River

The falls is only one three destinations from that interesting trailhead. The first left on the way up takes you to a promontory with a great view. Continuing along the river past the falls takes you to a canyon most representative of incredible flora diversity of the Olympics. You can do these hikes separately or connect them to fit the level of exercise your group is inching for. A must see if staying at the Crescent Lodge. A short jog from the road if driving through without much time to spare.

Very short, accessible trail. It is 0.2 miles, completely paved. Wheelchair and strollers oriented. Toddlers will find the trail fun and will be able to walk it all by themselves. The creek right across the street is the perfect setting for peaceful lunch

Very short and easy paved trail here. Well worth a stop. Very beautiful. For a longer walk, head up the closed road for about a mile to where the road is washed out. You can take a bypass trail around the washout, also

Stunning views. Moderately easily accessible. And free, cant beat free! Perfect for leisurely enjoyment of a gorgeous landscape. I saw an intimate little waterfall that was super easy to get to. And the small parking lot has a breathtaking creek literally right across the street. You can enjoy right from the street. And if you are willing to climb up and and over some rocks you can view this beautiful body of water even closer. Awesome and inspiring sites. Includes a camping type style restroom. Ya know, the kind with no plumbing. So go potty before you leave the house. Great place for meditation, family fun or even a romantic date. Id love to return and definitely recommend to anyone.

A quick walk to a mossy wonderland. Well worth it. If you can take the time to walk down the road from the trailhead (turn left as youre staring at the river). Walk a mile to where the bridge is down, the views do not disappoint and the river is one of the most clear and beautiful Ive seen in Washington. If youve got a dog you can do this trail, the road, and the bipass trail that starts about 8/10 of a mile down the road. It is well marked.

Currently being used as main entry point into Elwha valley for day usage. Has a relatively small parking space for the volume of people that can sometimes amass their. Has lots of place to access from this point, has access to hike/run/bike all the way to the end of the roads. Their are lots of other ways into the valley but they are more difficult and require dedication and local knowledge.

To be honest, it looks nice (waterfall and river) but it is not really special. There is a restroom on the parking lot and some information signs. The waterfall is nice, but we have seen much more beautiful falls and higher ones. The river is also nice but also not spectacular. If you have seen waterfalls like the ones in Norway or some in the Rocky mountains, you can just skip this one.We did spot a Bald Eagle flying along the river, but it did not stop anywhere in sight.
