The trail to Marymere Falls is absolutely breathtaking. The scenery is beautiful the entire way. The path can be a bit muddy, waterproof boots/shoes are best. The hike to the view point for the falls is a bit steep and could be difficult to navigate as much of it is stairs. There is a slightly lower path that is actually a better view, I have been a few times but hadnt taken the lower path, wish I had saved myself the steeper hike for the better view, either way its still 100% worth it.
Charming waterfall. Very short and easy hike; it starts on the same path as Mount Storm King at the center, and crosses under the street using a tunnel.
Short hike to beautiful, if a bit small, falls. Last bit of the trail is pretty steep with well built stairs and railings. Might be a challenge for those with mobility issues. But plenty to see on the lower trail through the forest. Absolutely enormous trees and beautiful lush rainforest scenes. Picnic spots are plentiful but parking can be limited during peak hours.
Beautiful trail with clean bathrooms at the entrance and a short dark tunnel going under the highway. We went while it was a mostly sunny day out and slightly busy - we had to keep putting our masks back up when passing others on the trail but got a reasonable amount of fresh air still. The tide was low and could see tiny fish swimming around in the water. Another hiker took our picture for us. Be weary about bringing anyone who has trouble walking for a stretch of time without sitting, though, as there arent a lot of places to sit and rest we noticed, but a bench at the very top.
Beautiful, quick, easy hike! Would recommend to locals or out of towners again & again.
Good trails systems multiple grades of difficulty and elevation. Would love to go again. Great views would recomend to anyone looking for a good trail.
Nice falls and a not so difficult hike. Short but steep, definitely worth it.
Nice hike and falls. A couple of photogenic bridges on the way too. A little steep near the falls as you have a loop that goes from the bottom to midway to the top part of the falls. Saw two deer on the way out!
It is a decent trail. It takes a bit for you to escape the noise of the 101 and the trail itself can be relatively busy, but it has a nice destination. The waterfall is quite picturesque. The trail is mostly flat but there are a few steps at the end when transitions into a small loop for waterfall viewing.
Very pretty waterfall. A very short and easy hike.
Easy hike of about 1.9 miles round-trip. This is a very popular trail, and less than half of the hikers were wearing masks. Due to the large crowds, there were a few places along the trail (mainly the bridge and falls loop) that were a bottleneck. Overall, the trail was in great condition, with amazing views, and would highly recommend for all ages.
The forest and the waterfall are both lovely, being in the rainforest. Being free, it is crowded. Most people do wear masks. Those that dont wear them, generally dont respect the 6 foot rule either. Murica!
If you can make the almost 2 mile round trip trek it is so worth it! Absolutely amazing! The trail is not super easy and it has very steep steps at the end of the hike. I was struggling. Im 52 and not in the greatest of shape.
Trail easy but narrow making social distancing difficult; however, fellow visitors were courteous! Ranger at TH available for inquiries.
Beautiful spot to stop along the 101! Nice 1.5 mile hike, public restrooms and ranger station
This was a great find! Not too difficult to hike to and the place was very welcoming!
Beautiful trail that offers some rainforest-like moss formations and tree structures, if Hoh rain forest is too far out of your way, I highly recommend this easier shorter trail!
Nice, short (1.5 Miles) hike. The falls area beautiful and the trail is well maintained. No pets on the trail. (Learned that the hard way).
The trail borders the noisy road in the beginning but the beauty after more than makes up for it. Gorgeous waterfall, creek and bridges.
The hike towards the fall has amazing trees and bunch of cut branches on the way...
Easy path to some of the more accessible and impressive waterfalls in the area. Parking lot was full early but a bunch of people also parked along the road on the way to the boat launch where some extra picnic tables are.
Great hike. Nice trail. Not too long and beautiful falls.
Great little hike to beautiful falls...
The whole of Olympic National Park the peninsula is soooo magical its easy to get spoiled. The falls were okay, not great.
Nice short hike. Pretty falls. Can be busy. If you want something more exciting do the Mount Storm King Hike which shares the same trailhead as the falls
Pretty falls. Beautiful tree. Go early, for less traffic on the trail.
Easy hike not too crowded.
Was good to take a 2.5 hour ride and get on a trail for a short hike with the little ones.
Lovely spot but quite busy. Id say that mask usage was at about 20 percent and there are places near the falls that you cant social distance well. Keep that in mind.
Another easy hike in Olympic. Pretty flat most of the way until less than the last quarter mile when you hit stairs.
The hike is easy the parking is good and tbe falls are beautiful. Would suggest going in the rainy season but even in July was a sight to see tbe trail was rustic and well done for a real natural look. There are a ton of lakes and resorts in the area wish would of had more time to explore.
Really easy hike the only uphill is right before the waterfall my kids loved it
Amazing, Beautiful, I have been coming here for 30 plus years and love it still.
Beautiful hike! Standing in the forest surrounded by huge trees really makes you realize just how small you are. Once you reach the falls it takes your breath away at how beautiful it is and feeling the spray on your face is really refreshing.
Great place to stop. Waterfalls isnt too far away. The lake is beautiful, a little bit warmer than some other places but still cold..Some of the best Trails so far. Whoever is making them good job. The best part is it looks like youre using natural Timbers from around the area.
Beautiful, peaceful walk. Easy hike.
Great hike in Olympic Park. The Falls are beautiful and the forest is amazing
Worth the walk. Plus you are at Crescent lake anyway!
Beautiful hike that doesnt take long at all! If you plan on doing the Storm King hike, it branches off of this one so you can kill two birds with one stone!
Simple and short hike with gorgeous views the whole way!
Short hike for a good waterfall!
Mostly paved trail. Worth doing the 1 mile loop.
Beautiful hike, pretty easy to do as well
Lake cresent is BEAUTIFUL!
Nice trail. Beautiful falls!
Plenty of parking, nice shaded trail, good for most ages and experience levels.
A one and a half mile round trip in the beautiful rainforest. Absolutely gorgeous and well worth it!
Beautiful
Loved it!!!Short hike beautiful view.
This short, well-maintained trail through old growth to the picturesque Marymere Falls is well-worth a quick stop. For the more adventurous, this trail also offers access to Mt Storm King, with panoramic views of Lake Crescent, as well as access to the deep backcountry of Olympic National Park. The trail to the falls is an easy one, while the branch leading up Storm King is strenuous, and has some exposure beyond the end of the maintained trail.
When climbing closer to this moderate waterfall, follow the Falls Loop sign to the left. Means more views of the falls, while shortening the climb. Before getting to the stairs for the climbing portion, most of the way is a fairly flat, pleasant trail w tall mossy trees and plenty of ferns.
Many good hikes in a lush rainforest environment.
Beautiful trail! A very easy walk that leads to some stairs so beware if your not into that. But the views are worth it!
We went there on 01/04/2020. Very muddy, kinda chilly, I wore a pair of Converse, they all got wet after the one-hour hiking. There are two huge trees fall on the ground, blocking the trail, but we managed to cross over. The fall is definitely beautiful:) it’s an easy hike, and suitable to all ages.
Very nice trail which is very accessible I saw young kids and older people on it. It leads to the falls but there are several other trails which go off the main one which would be worth exploring.
Easy hike, gorgeous falls
Light short trail, good for kids. Small and nice waterfall at the end. By the way trail has nice lakeview, tunnel under road and huge beautiful tree.
Super easy hike to do for any one at any age or weight. It took us 25 minutes to walk to, we did a few stops to look at these huge and amazing trees and the little creek that goes by, its soo peaceful. Definitely recommend doing this short hike.
One of the best falls in Olympic national park
Beautiful place to visit
Beautiful trail with a small under highway tunnel to start with.
A beautiful, fun hike, great for the entire family!!!
Great trail and a very cool waterfall. Much better than I expected!
Great short easy hike to waterfalls. Can really get crowded in summer.
Quick and easy trail. Mainly flat terrain with steps as you get closer to the falls. Took about an hour to make it there and back.
I love the forest. And the falls hike is easy and beautiful, surrounded by moss and nurse logs. If you are adventurous, you can do mount Storm King.Nothing so relaxing as wandering through gigantic old growth forest!
If your in the area and have the time, go! Its worth it!
Nice easy trail and cute waterfall. Last bridge is narrow and last steps might be difficult to climb. Otherwise no so difficult.
Easy trail that is well marked. Great views of mossy trees and other flora on the way. The boardwalk to the falls has steps and hand rails. There is a viewing platform near the Bas of the falls and another about 3/4 of the way up. Can get crowded in the afternoon as the platform can only hold about 6 people before its too crowded.
The female park ranger informed us no dogs on trails then told us we where welcome to leave our dog in the car on a 98 degree day...
Great hike(short)
An easy walk on a well travelled trail. The falls are not large but very pretty. The trail leads through forested area with a variety of trees and vegetation.
Get out in nature and walk a mile and a half I believe. Get tired going up to the falls with some walking up some natural steps and the rest is pretty flat. You are in nature and no dogs allowed. People can walk with sneakers. Be careful of moisture and slipping on the log you walk over with hand rails. Pretty views of streams and water going by. Beautiful big trees and wonderful fresh air and relaxing times on this little walk down and back.
Gorgeous! Love it! The whole family enjoyed the hike.
Very nice hike. Fairly easy until the end it does get pretty steep. There are stairs to climb up to a good view. Lots of greenery and wildlife.
Beautiful falls near Crescent Lake.. Easy trail (we had the baby stroller till the last section of stairs). Small stream and 2 small bridges on the way. Must visit during your time in Olympic NP
Loved it! Great as my first hike with my daughter she walked halfbofbit and I carried her in the carrier the other half, also saw my first real waterfall
A short hike. Obviously gets crowded on the weekend, but still worth it.
Beautiful waterfall and trail. Relatively short and easy. Great for families.
We stopped at the falls on our way from Port Angeles to Forks. The trail is accessible from the ranger station parking lot. The walk was not difficult, and the forest was so luscious and peaceful. The falls themselves are pretty but it had been dry, so they are likely more spectacular after a rain. A popular spot but not crowded. There are stairs at the end so not really for the mobility challenged. But the walk there is still very nice.
Great visit
Cool place, good for kids
Absolutely stunning
Fun, easy hike.
Worth the walk up to the falls and they have made it fairly easy with very well maintained trail.
The most beautiful place I have seen since moving up here last year. Easy walk. There are stairs at the end of the trail to see the falls.
Short hike out to a pretty waterfall. The trail is mostly flat except for some stairs at the end to give you views of the waterfall for different angles. The Sol Duc waterfall trailhead is nearby. Both trails are short enough so you can do them both in one day.
Lovely waterfall! Nice easy hike.
Its good for short snow trekking.
One of the beautiful trails Ive visited. Its not very long. Its in the middle of a beautiful forest. The trees are just beautiful and elegant. Winter is the best time to visit. The combination of snow and forest is a delight. The end of the trek is a little tricky to walk on. It gets so slippery. Be very careful here. The end of the trek is worth it. The waterfall is just beautiful. Its an amazing place. The frozen ice and waterfall is a beautiful combo. Must visit when you visit Lake Crescent.
Easy flat trail leading up to a nice waterfall with a small pond. Definitely worth the shot walk.
