I’ve been to this church twice both times the priest was rude, not welcoming at all. Attended for a communion, the priest called out a lady in front of the whole church and told her to leave because he believed her dress was not long enough. I understand being decent which she did have a cardigan on, but to make her leave because he didn’t agree to a dress length not being passed the knee is disrespectful in many ways. God is the only one able to reject someone in his home, a priest is allowed to judge and maybe criticize, but to reject someone in the house of the lord where it does always state that it is welcoming to everyone is a disgrace . A women, the priest assistance, stood at the door rejecting people who were not adequately dressed, she herself spent most of the time on her phone, her dress was not passed her knee and her heels did not even fit correctly but still was rejecting women for not having dresses past the knee.

No communion organization. Only about 10% of the mass did communion. Im looking around for Clues to get up, nobody around me got up, 6 rows infront or behind. I guess its 90% satan worshippers that would die as soon as the body of Jesus touched their tongue. Very sad ending. Didnt even get the trophy. (Ostia)

There is a certain feeling that one gets when you have found the right place. Came to this church about 2 years ago needed a place to bring my sister and brother in law. They liked the Mass, the bilingual atmosphere and being musicians they found that the music was very well done. I am less sophisticated but felt the Holy Spirit at work here. Attend here regularly and take advantage of the priest biblical knowledge by attending bible studies. See you Saturday Nights :)

When we got to the parking lot my uncle was telling me about the church when this guy came up yelling and told us to leave. My uncle told him he attends this church and I was thinking about going. He told us we have to leave. We will not . be attending this church very rude people did not make us feel welcome at all in anyway

I have been coming to Octoberfest for years now. It has always been fun. This year however was not so great. The Rummage sale was scarce and there wasnt much options in the food section like all the other years. Hopefully its better in 2020.

Father Pawel is the best priest I have ever met. There are some people who might have misunderstood Father and gave such terrible reviews which totally contrast with what I have experienced in last 3 years. Father is genuinely nice person, committed to church, community and parishioners faith growth. I have learned so much from his sermons and teachings. The way he delivers Gods messages is very down to earth, easy to understand and apply to reality in order to become a happier person, a better Gods sheep.

I will be moving to this neighborhood soon so I plan on trying several churches to find a good fit. Initially, the parishioners were ok, not rude but not overly friendly either. I watched the choir practice. I wondered why the choir director told the kids you might want to practice this hymn before Fr. So and so comes out I thought it was just an adult trying to get the kids to participate. I was completely thrown off guard when Fr so and so comes out and repeatedly has these kids AND adults practice this over and over. Moving kids around, almost scolding them for a sad performance. When the service finally started the normal routine is for you to greet those around you BUT Fr so and so only allows you to greet 4ppl...no more than 4He does this again when giving the sign of peace. Throughout the service he was condescending and rude. He NEVER smiled. He just seemed miserable while profusely sweating. Normally at the end of service the priest will greet the parishioners as they leave the church......but alas, not a priest in sight. He left like a bat outta hell.I have NEVER in my catholic life, ever seen anything like it. He is a control freak barking orders and insults throughout the service. Dont get me wrong, Im not looking for someone to sugarcoat everything, but I dont need a drill Sargent picking apart every detail of a traditional mass. I truly dont understand how ppl continue to attend mass here.If I could give zero stars as a rating, i would.

In response to Louis Craig, its not true that Im posting the same negative review of all Catholic Churches in the area -- only the ones that deserve it. The same criticisms were applicable to all those I reviewed (dippy, very liberal/politically correct, homilies bereft of substance, silly, irreverent Muzak, altar girls, liberal priests, etc.).The churches I critiqued all suffer from the same symptoms: liberal, post-Vatican II, post-modernist bastardizations of the holy Mass, altar girls, substance-less, vapid “homilies” completely unrelated to the readings, and composed of feel-good inanities, incredibly stupid, inappropriate music (including the Our Father as a show tune? Really??), etc. No thanks! God deserves far better than such irreverent, dumbed-down, idiotic PC tripe. No more “Fr. ____________ Show” either, please. I don’t want a performance.Go to a MUCH better, far more reverent, orthodox, and beautiful church like St. John of the Desert, Mater Miseracordiae Mission, St. Simon and Jude Cathedral, or St. Catherine of Siena. Probably the IVE churches, too. Their priests in CA were phenomenal. Youll derive MUCH more spiritual benefit, and actually learn something about our Catholic faith, too, instead of enduring superficial, feel-good silliness. Dont settle for PC dippiness! Homilies should be instructive and spiritually beneficial — not consist of empty, infantile, politically correct greeting card-type platitudes. Nothing personal against the pastor, but wow. Pretty inexcusable. My original post: A very liberal parish. Silly, inane liturgical music, altar girls, homilies completely unrelated to the readings and bereft of any substance whatsoever, etc. Just horrible, post-modernist spirit of Vatican II watered-down Catholicism. Mass shouldnt be an endurance test. Only five minutes from me but not worth it. I go across town to participate in a more fitting, far more beautiful mass. God deserves better.
