The park was quite clean and big. It was nice and green and there was a walkway that went all around the park. There’s a playground for the kids and the bathrooms are clean. I think the best part of the park was the flags. I went on a windy day so the way they were dancing in the wind was so beautiful.

Do not use the restrooms! find some where else for that business. Park it self well kept and clean. Right off the highway, nice place to stretch and take a walk. Several eateries right down the street. Nice play ground for the kids.

Huge homeless population here. For the most part they stay to themselves and dont bug you. Park is under construction right now so only a small fraction of it is usable. From the plans and drawing they have out at the construction site, the new updates they are making look amazing. Cant wait until it opens.

Pizza fest! The lines were the only thing I didn’t enjoy. You had to wait 30mins to buy pizza that you’re unsure about. I was only able to try two pizza places because of the wait time.Everything else was great. The park was clean. There was live music. My mother even got a free massage. They even had face paint and a bounce house for children.Hopefully there will be another Pizza Fest.

Over all a great park to enjoy your favorite band its great to laydown in the grass and chill after getting all crazy in the pit.The bash was one of the best shows of the year for me will definitely jam out and see another show here again. Only a 10 min walk from Street parking finding a parking was different but it pretty easy or just come early as possible and get a spot in the park watch the one way streets... lol

Beautiful, bustling park. We had a lovely time laying out on our blankets, soaking up the sun, and observing our fellow park-goers. There was much activity, from a birthday party with dinosaur suited entertainment to uni-wheeled skateboarders; a father/son duo tearing it up with souped up RC cars; enthusiast exercising; we even enjoyed some live music from across the fence at the beautiful Japanese Friendship garden. One of my favorite parks in the area for sure.

My husband and I went this park because of Chinese Culture and Cuisine Festival 2018. The park was huge and pretty clean if you came from Culver St.But at east side, the park was pretty not kept-well. It looks rundown and you can tell people threw trash away. It is pretty sad.The park also had playground for kids. Before sunset, it is nice to see sun from west side. The only thing is, if you are new to this route, make sure do not miss Culver St that was very close from highway. Only 0.3 mile according to Google Maps. The best part was the West, you can enjoy swans from the side of fence. I believe the swans are a part of condominiums next to the park.I hope people are started taking care of east side of park that seems usually they use for events.

Seeing the Native Nation theater work here from ASU Gammage was incredible, immersive and interconnected with past, present and future. I loved walking the wheel with everyone, thank you to the indigenous communities that welcomed us into their circle. Great park with area to walk and run. The main problem is the homeless population. They dont seem dangerous but the play areas and water features are not functioning due to problems related. In fact when we were walking through the park volunteers were there handing out lunch which would lead one to believe it is an ongoing issue.Great design and things to offer, hopefully it can be fully functional in the future.

A beautiful place to visit indeed! It is easy to miss this park since it sits below the bridge. I only discovered it upon getting off the train to take pics of the flags I had always seen upon my passing. Though hidden, it is still a great locational companion ( if such a phrase exists) to the famous Burton Barr Library. It has an awesome track for jogging, biking, skating, taking a relaxing walk, and plenty of sitting area for reading a good book as well. Sitting area can either be on the grass or the plenty of chairs placed bear the north side of the park.Margaret T Hance Park has a full childrens park as well and the entire grounds near it are good for them to run around as well, in plain sight of parents and guardians. What most surprised me about this park is that it had a volleyball play area with net, beach sand, and even chairs nearby to sit back and watch the game. I was intrigued indeed to see that people actually came out to play full force. The downside to this park that one needs to be aware of is the homeless population that passes through and sometimes camp out at the park. Most do not bother anyone and are just there to rest, but my last visit there I came across a few suspicious activity bear the bathroom area. I believe they were doing drugs and two women seemed to have just washed up there. The bathroom was filthy so if you must use the washroom go to the Burton Barr library for theirs are almost always cleaner. And do not send your children to the bathroom by themselves as a safety precaution. I mention this because I see this all too often and I do not think it us wise.Overall, the place us beautiful and makes for excellent pictures abd relaxation.

I personally love this park. The architecture of the Burton Barr Library extends around the park and creates an atmosphere that is totally unique. The Arches underneath the roads, The Fountains, though I wish they were full more often. A lot of skaters, a lot of homeless people, but they dont bother me. I really kind of dig the chill Community atmosphere around the library, nice grass, usually pretty clean, makes a great event venue. Highly recommend. Five stars

Theres plenty of parking spots for this park. The park consists of a concrete loop that loops around a large grassy area, and this loop is connected by a sidewalk that leads up to the parking lot and the dog park.Walking from there, you see the ramadas. For some reason though, they were locked. After that, you see the playground. The playground was reasonably large but it did not have as much of the updated equipment that you see in other playgrounds. From there, you stroll past a sand volleyball court. On the far end of the loop, there is a sandy area with world flags flying in front of a bridge. Under that bridge, I spotted a lot of homeless folks. As you continue the loop, you pass by the fenced off Japanese Garden on your left. It took about 15 minutes to complete the circular loop. The only other thing that kind of a downside is some of the owners were letting their large dogs run around without a leash. They were well-mannered but it was a bit scary.

This isnt the kind of park that is in the pamphlet. The friendship garden is supposed to be a series of fountains, but is as dry as the surrounding desert. The sprinklers, on the other hand, come on during the hottest part of the day. There isnt much shade to be found in the main park, and there are only a very few drinking fountains. No dog park for the furry friends, though. It is right on the light rail, and near a giant of a public library. Thats about all it has going for it.

Lovely park in the center of Phoenix with the freeway running underneath it, but you dont hear the cars driving through it at all. Easily accessible and close to a lot of business and the main public library. There is a larger than usual homeless population, so be extra cautious, especially if alone at night, but groups during the day shouldnt have a problem, and there are police vehicles frequently passing through
