This was a great museum. I enjoyed the exhibit on the Civil War & Reconstruction and American Treasures, in particular. The multimedia presentation, Freedom Rising, was also very good. I liked how the live narrator presented the production. The Story of We the People was also comprehensive and interesting. Finally, I liked Signers Hall with the life-sized statues of the Constitutions signers. Its was fun walking amongst them.

Madison greeted us happily at the door and welcomed us in such an enthusiastic and friendly manner. She was incredibly knowledgeable and had a great grasp of the history that happened at Independence Hall. An incredible experience. I could not recommend this place any higher.

Was there Saturday for the #19 amendment 100 year Anniversary of Womens Suffrage exhibit. Everyone there was super nice and informative. Its also free admission till September 5th. Its awesome sauce.

The Constitution Center is located in Old City near Independence Hall. It is extremely well done and work the trip. It starts with a combination live actor/multimedia presentation. When that is finished you exit into the museum itself where to learn not just the history of Constitution but hope it continues to be interpreted to this day. There is also an excellent exhibit on Civil War Reconstruction on the first floor.

So glad I stopped here. I was almost going to skip it for the Museum of the American Revolution and I actually liked the National constitution center better. The projection show was amAzing and does a great job of giving a quick overview of the events leading up to and post constitution. Loved it.

Nice, Clean museum very interesting if you are already interested in constitutional history. The majority of the exhibits are located on the second floor and the layout of the museum is very easy to follow. I wouldnt recommend bringing younger children unless you want spend most of your visit occupying their time.

It is safe. If you love American history you will love this place. $18 for parking is too much. I love the area and the history.

The place was huge, it was a great experience. Everything looks amazing, and lots of information! I mostly loved the theater, it was an amazing sight and great story! The narrator in the theater explained everything about the U.S. and how it became how its like now. I really really suggest going, and better with friends or family!

We went for the Hamilton exhibit but was very pleased to see there was more than that. There is so much history about our country in Philly. We loved the Freedom Rising exhibit that was performed by a beautiful lady. There were lots of people around to answer our questions. There were interactive exhibits and more traditional reading and artifact ones. We will definatly go back.

This had more interesting revolution and history exhibits than expected, and I think seeing an original copy of Common Sense was a serious highlight. There were so many interactive pieces as well, so the kids and adults all enjoyed what there was to see. Great view of Independence hall from inside as well, and the storytelling trail is not to be missed if you like history!

A great place to brush up on your American History. We spent much of the day exploring this and some other downtown historic houses. What a refreshing trip. Some much of our U.S. history is housed here - much of it I had already forgotten the details many years ago.

Well worth the price of admission! We came for Hamilton, but enjoyed the entire museum. The show was very informative and Signers Hall was really incredible. We ended up going later in the day, which worked out as all of the school tours were headed out when we were headed in.We used a Groupon which essential made the kids free, which was great!

We brought our 5,3, and 1.5 year old here and had a great time. A lot of the experience went over their head but the oldest walked away with little nuggets of knowledge. The best part for them was the signers statues. There is a deep feeling of kinship and appreciation towards these men who risked everything for our freedom. The kids felt that too without a lot of coaching. I introduced them to each one and they gave unprompted big hugs to Ben Franklin and George Washington that I caught on camera.As an adult I could spend all day in there reading and listening to everything. There’s so much interactive material and exhibits. We live in Jersey and was able to get in free with a library museum pass. Parking is still pricey. There’s a great place to have a packed lunch on the second floor south side with tables and chairs. You can see the lawn and independence hall.Loads of other great things to do near by: the mint, independence hall, liberty bell.

Great view of Independence hall, and close to the Liberty Bell. There are statues of the delegates here as well. If youre hungry, theres a cafe. On top of that there is also a small museum which briefs you on American History.

Fantastic walking tour. Amazing the amount of history in such a small area. Highly recommended! Great for about 10 yrs+... Younger than that probably a bit boring.

One of the best museums Ive been to in a long time! $14 Adult admission for 2 days. Great live performance in the Auditorium and well organised, intelligible exhibitions throughout. You can easily spend a whole day here!

I was expecting more.... Maybe Im missing the point. There really are some cool things here, but I just wasnt wowed. If youre here, you probably should go, but its a whole bunch of reading. If youre visually impaired like my son, not everything is accessible unless you have a reader with you! Not necessarily super exciting for little kids either, but we are all grown so it was what we expected.

Sometimes I forget that these men actually lived and breathed the air that we share. In these divisive times this place reminds me how fragile our democracy is and why we must all work together to continue this great nation.

I have been here many times, and each time I learn something new about American history. There is a fun 20 minute live presentation that provides an overview of the Constitutions history, and then interactive exhibits that cover major milestones and amendments. The exhibits are truly interactive, and include voting booths, trivia, audio segments, video, and more.They also have rare early drafts of the Constitution, which are really cool to see together so you can see the documents evolution. The Signers Hall features life size bronze statues of all the men present for the signing of the Constitution, which is one of the coolest aspects of the museum.Docents are easy to spot and eager to answer questions and tell you more about the museum. They are all knowledgeable and friendly, and one of the museums best resources.Plus, its right by Independence Mall and many other Center City historic sites. Also be sure to check out the website, which features at least some of the exhibits in digital format.

We the People is a great performance! Learn about Americas political history, how laws are made, the judicial system, influential Americans, pivotal times in our history. Many interactive exhibits!

Especially loved the room with the signers of the Constitution. Can walk right up to Ben Franklin and look him in the eyes. Touch the hands of the signers. Look at the lines in their hands. Stand right next to George Washingtons statue and marvel at his height. It is a very powerful place that perfectly captures the feelings of that time when the signers were debating and making our Constitution and nation.

I love history and theres no better place than Philly to get your fill of it. The Constitution Center was amazing. I loved the statues of the signers of the Declaration. Cannot wait to go again.

Exhibits are very lifelike. Alot to see so give yourself enough time. They even have a boat exhibit with a guide who gives you a history lesson of the life of soldiers and their captain. Kids love it

This museum was amazing. There were so many interactive things to do here. Every display comes with videos and audio to explain different periods of Americas history. They also have touch screens with tons of interesting information. They even have trivia games for adults! Its a must see if you visit to Philadelphia.

This place is worth every dollar. There is a fantastic actor monologue in the theatre. A video of Ben Stein answering constitutional amendment questions. The states in order of inclusion in the union. See soldiers tents, learn about Henry box Brown. You will easily spend 2 hours here.

We loved it. Great place to spend the 4th of July. The show was awesome and gave us goosebumps.

I was amazed by the level of detail and discourse among the staff regarding all aspects of governmental history, the social setting of the period, and how inclusive founding story of the country is as good by staff. The theater is very very engaging in capturing the audience with its use of visuals, audio surround sound, and a circular stage.

What a spectacular day this was!!! There were so many historical places to see in Philadelphia, but this one was my very best. Recommend anyone coming to tour to check out Signers Hall.Notes many places were visited required walking but accessibility for those requiring it was available.

Very new facility but not many exhibits. The Hamilton exhibit was interesting but took about 20 minutes to walk through. The general exhibit was good but was more comprehensive American history.They also are included in Bank of Americas free museum pass program.

Educational, historically insightful

We only had an hour here but we could have spent an entire day between the permanent hall (free to explore) and the other temporary exhibits (which cost money).The Constitution Hall (free exhibit) was fantastic. There is a lot going on, which could be distracting and overwhelming at times, but I managed it by sticking to one (either the inner or outer) circle of the exhibit at a time.Theres a lot of background noise and music from the plethora of exhibits, and the exhibit room itself is quite dim, but it was made up for by the probing questions and thoughtful interpretations throughout. We will definitely be back.

This is a great museum for people coming from other states and countries. You can really see the rough history of the United States. Also, the museum is great for school or summer camp groups. I recommend this museum for anyone in the area with an hour or 2.

Always an intellectual joy to walk through the timeline of you government through the lens of the Constitution. I could spend hours reading everything. So well presented and theres so much more to say.

Everyone should be required to visit to see how history keeps repeating. The main exhibit is very good and the current one on Reconstruction is great. Not crowded at all on the Saturday morning I was there. You could spend several hours if you have the stamina

Wow,wow, wow. All I can say is I need to go back for a whole day there. This place is so chock full of American History a few hours only scratches the surface. If you love the USA this is a must visit.

Its a pretty cool museum. Its a bit pricey and you wont find any official archives here. The room where the framers of the constitution model by model is a very cool site.

Loved the life-sized display of the constitutional convention, the chance to be sworn in as president, the sample Supreme Court robes, and the multi-media presentation in the theater. A great place to spend an afternoon.

Every American needs to visit here to learn about the documents that give us a free country. There are many things to see here. We spent a couple of days. Parking is terrible.

No better place to learn. Very overwhelming yet awesome. Start slow and keep moving. Set aside a couple of hours. The show in the auditorium is a must!

I like the Introduction the most because a woman gave us a detailed one man play about the civil war. I wouldnt suggest you bring anyone who isnt already into history because I went with a group of friends, and we arent into history like that, but I still ventured around with two close friends of mine.

We came about an hour before closing, which was cool because the admission was discounted. The citizenship exhibit was very nice, hands on. Wish we had had more time to explore!

Excellent historical museum! We brought a group of 25 teens and 10 adults through. They were extremely accommodating. Their staff made sure we were taken care of from the meeting space we rented to ensuring our valuables were locked away while we walked around. They even brought in the actress from the freedom video to our meeting so that the teens could ask questions.
