A quiet, authentic Friends Meeting House. I hadnt been there for about 10 years for a wedding. This time I was there, sadly, for a funeral. It is a place that makes me feel peaceful, welcome and thoughtful.
Great, friendly historic place of spiritual insight and progressive thought. Wonderful period architecture.
I happened to find the Meeting Jouse right before a Wednesday evening meeting for worship and decided to attend. It was a nice quiet meeting and the Friends were very welcoming!
Beautiful Establishment!
This place is amazing. It is hundreds of years old but is still gorgeous.
I sleep here when im homeless me and a coulpe dudes i know have stayed here at night they dont bother us and we are up early and clean up or mess... This was a safe spot to stay and i never had a problem with the owners
For a public park they sure dont treat it like that. They act like it their land and park and have a bad attitude.
Theres not much to see here.
Really good interpretation of the site
Well worth a visit, right in the heart of historic Old City. Its a great way to learn about the present-day Society of Friends (Quakers) along with the rich history of Quakers in Philadelphia. And its a beautiful building.
Serene place great ambience.Vintage furniture.Friendly staff
Not open every day but very informative about Quaker religion.
Cool place for Quaker history.
Beautiful place.
Amanda, the curator, is an amazing host/information guide, and she gave a wonderful reflection and representation of the Quaker life to us personally. The other museum staff, mostly volunteers, were equally knowledgeable and kind.
A welcoming historic community
Great venue for the graduation of a small to medium class.
If youre a history buff you should definitely stop in. Cool old place
Very interesting historic place. Great actors that are also historians.
The West Room has no basement! It was built atop a burial ground. The curved panel above the front benches is a sounding board, used to amplify the voices of the people who spoke from underneath it.
Enjoyed visiting here with the volunteer who told us about the neat history of this place and the people who worshiped there.
Visited the Arch Street Meeting House for the first time last saturday. The building is beautiful and very peaceful, something to see for anyone interested in Philadelphias rich history.
Fascinating!!! Im from Pittsburgh and never learned much about the Quakers. The staff here was very friendly and love to answer questions!

Serene and perfect.
A must on your visit to Philadelphia
