Beautiful. 1/2 the trail is shady canyon and 1/2 is exposed and sunny. Beautiful birds and the sound of running water makes this hike a lovely way to spend the morning. Be aware that you need to bring water, and the restrooms are porta potties.
A beautiful, easy hike. 1 miles loop provides lovely views of a burbling oasis in the midst of desert palms, mountains and lizards and hummingbirds. Just do it! Very easy and very rewarding. Go early to have the trail to yourself and maximize the shade
Ive been going too the Indian canyons for over 30yrs and have enjoyed every trip. I like to introduce friends that have never been there. Such a beautiful place too take a lunch and eat while listening too the stream running by.
Love the different trails you can choose from. Beautiful scenery and many signs to keep to on path.
Took my mom here and we did the 1 mile hike loop. Its considered an easy trail however I would rate it as moderate. The trail itself is over rocks, uneven ground, ascending and descending at times and follows along the Oasis. There were several people all age ranges on the trail. It took us 2 hours to complete the route. Wear a hat, good hiking shoes or tennis shoes, bring water and enjoy. This is located on the Indian Reservation and you do need to pay a fee. Main road is paved and all roads are well maintained. After our hike we went to the visitors center/trading post. Its a steep hill and it narrows to one lane. I highly recommend visiting because palm canyon is located behind the visitors center/trading post. You can spend all day exploring the area and even bring a picnic lunch to enjoy. Great views. Highly recommend!!
Beautiful Park with well trails.Picnic tables for lunch and helpful Rangers.Loved Our Visit!
Such a great place long hikes short hikes beautiful scenery so serene Dont miss out on this special place to spend A-day
Beautiful! Loved the hike to the waterfall. The lady at the entrance was clearly unhappy with her job!!!
This was a beautiful hike to enjoy the super bloom from the recent rains and fresh running streams. Its well maintained trails and parking make it worth the entry price.
Great trail. Shaded for part, so go early to beat the heat.
Very cool place for hiking. There are many different trails, so you can come back many times and do different trails each time. There is a very cool Palm Oasis there with running stream. The rock formations are incredible. Other areas show ancient Native Indian presence.
Magnificent oasis and great place for a hike with children
Bring your water bottle...hiking by the stream is relaxing
Absolutely beautiful hike every step of the way - highly recommend!
Short, easy hike along perennial stream through stretch of the canyon. Wonderful counterpoint to downtown Palm Springs! With interesting more challenging hikes up into surrounding terrain
Beautiful trail, about an hour out and back. Try to hit it close to sunset to get some amazing colors on rock formations. Go up on north side first and follow creak through he fan palm oasis and then cross the foot bridge to return back down trail on south side ridge to see cool rock out c, unusual cactus and wigwams. Great easy 1hr hike. Bring your camera. Tons of Instagram worthy shots.
Beautiful...First half is shaded and great to do in the morning despite high temps
Very nice place just got to be careful with which trail you choose it may be dangerous
Peaceful, clean. No dogs. A good hike!
Easy and great hike. Especially with kids
This place is so nice and serene. There are of course, more adventueous trails but there are also nice short trails for those of us less athletic but still want to see nature.
Great family hike! Went with our 3.5 year old. Some minor elevation changes but nothing too crazy. Beautiful scenery.
Lots of water in the stream right now thanks to all the rain from the winter. Beautiful California Fan Palms growing along the stream. They have some picnic tables near the parking area. Amazing to think that Cahuilla Indians once lived here, but easy to see why they did.
Fantastic hike with 15 creek crossings so being proper shoes. Excellent hike up the lush valley among the desert hills.
Absolutely STUNNING!!! Wonder day hike. Beauty of the Desert. A must see for tourism. You too can appreciate the love of outdoor beautiful. Welcome to our surrounding full of Mountains and Desert views that a breathtaking.
Beautiful trail to walk around
This has been a family favorite since I was a kid and now I come here with my kids. I try to visit this spot anytime I am in Palm Springs.
My kids enjoyed this trail.
We hiked Murray canyon but parked at Andres trailhead. There is lots of shade an picnic tables and a perfect place to relax after a nice hike. The canyons are absolutely beautiful and very much worth a visit. Ive never seen so many palms in one place. Amazing.
Think about this as you walk here: Our Earth is so Sacred! This place is full of vibrant power and tranquil beauty.
There was an easy somewhat maintained trail and a running spring
Easy hike next to a stream with plenty to see. The trail needs some TLC though.
This is a great hike if you have some time, and what you get to see here is a desert oasis contrasted with the mountainous terrain that was violently created by the fault lines running through this area. The price of entry to the park is kind of steep and the people at the entrance were fairly rude to us. Nonetheless you come here for the nature and this is a great hike for that.
A must visit to see those mountains up close Love it!
12 trails map for every leval skill. Beautiful place.
Stunning landscape. Much better activity than cable car in my opinion
Beautiful and cold water we only had a bottle water and walked the hole thing in 20 minute ..great walk
Nice place to walk around
An absolutely fantastic trail in the larger Agua Caliente Indian Canyons, just a 10 minute drive outside of downtown Palm Springs. The fee to enter the park runs from $8-$20 depending on your vehicle size, but is well worth the price of admission, as long as you hit more than just one trail. The Andreas Canyon trailhead is just inside the park entrance, making it a popular first stop for hikers. There is a decent sized parking lot, along with space next to the Andreas Canyon stream for picnics. The trailhead is well marked and takes you up and down several hundred feet of elevation. The trail is a well-manicured 1-mile+ loop - there is some undulation as well as a handful of boulders, so Id rate it an easy to moderate hike.Lots of amazing angles, views and small waterfalls along the way, perfect for photography. Be sure to stop at the top of the canyon to view the intriguing and incredibly private Andreas Canyon Club, blending almost invisibly into the mountains since the 1920s.
Fun little hike with some shade and a nice stream.
Best place to walk in the mornings.
Nothing short of amazing. Must do for your Palm Springs weekend. Totally worth the 9 bucks a head.
Its alright. I went in Nov not recommend for summer . Several trails see pic and see if its something you might like
This is my new hiking spot. Absolutely beautiful oasis.
This is one of my favorite hikes in Palm Springs, its more about the trip than the destination. The ending might be disappointing but is still just a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Springtime is best. A morning departure is a must unless you like heatstroke or are willing to jump in the water to stay cool. In April the water is shockingly ice cold. Wear a hat and sunscreen. Dunk your hat in the water to stay cool is my favorite trick. You should go.
Don’t allow dogs. Just make it clear.
So majestic and in aw of wonder . Breath taking oasis
Great place to hike, I recommend hiking to the Seven Sisters Waterfalls.
Lovely hike with my husband. It is easy and literally a walk with some elevation.
Beautiful stunning canyon you will love hiking while hearing flowing water.
Awesome views and hikes that are minutes from Palm Springs.
Came here for walk and exercise before the real hiking, the track is about 1 mile . it has a beautiful views.
Love this place. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Beautiful desert wilderness, nice oasis with stream, big ancient palm trees. Hiking trails along the stream (intermittent shade), or out into the desert wilderness, (no shade). A few short moderate inclines on trails, mostly flat terrain.Wise to carry at least 8 oz of water per hour to drink, more if youre overweight. Climate is dryer than you think, sucks the moisture out of you fast, even if you dont sweat. Trails are farther than they look.Thank you to the kind people of the Agua Caliente Tribe for keeping this beautiful destination open to us lowly human beings. It is truly a special opportunity, thank you thank you thank you!
Hike along desert floor then along the stream
Natural beauty. Go early.
Love the creek!
Breath taking experience. I LOVED IT, is an understatement.
Just beautiful, trees, creeks, mountains. Plenty of water even in October
This is a great excursion our guide was awesome and scenery was beautiful
A hikers paradise! Well worth the visit. Be aware of the cost (I thought was a little on the steep side) to enter the park.
I loved it great place 4 the family
An amazing place to see and visit.
Wonderful place for a picnic and hike.
Beautiful, cant beat it, hiking!
Excellent hike, better than Palm Canyon. Full running stream and both lush and starkly rocky and austere nature side-by-side.Ranger guided tours at 10 am and 1 pm that are excellent.
Serene. Sunny. Gratitious First Nation Hosts.Respectful +appreciative outdoor visitors. Enter with your awareness on. I will be back.
Was amazing . Water was do refreshing after being in the sun. I love this hike . Happy forth of July
Nice hiking. Varied terrain. Enjoyed a short loop. Hike and a hike to a “waterfall”. Not much water but didn’t expect it
This place is fantastic. Christopher taught us a lot about the park. The trail I took was wonderful.
Beautiful hike!
Beautiful canyon lined with palm trees. Easy 1 mile loop, with other Looney trails available. A lovely oasis.
Nice hikes here... Beautiful rock formations....bring water...no gift shop or water here.
Lovely trail up to the Tahquitz Falls. Easy trail, well kept.
This is an amazing place to visit.
Beautiful place
My favorite place to hike in the Palm Springs area.
Gorgeous short (1 mile) hike through several ecosystems.
Loved hiking the trails. Easy hike.
Is ok, nice trail with a small creek.
Dont miss this area. If youre visiting Palm Springs youve got to visit these trails.
Amazing trail. Suggestion to start your trail: if you are facing the incoming flow of the steam, start you trail from the right side. Youll do all the climbing in shade while enjoying the rocks on the way back. Lots of palm trees again.
Beautiful and easy 1.2 mile hike, great for families.
An amazing hike! Easy for the whole family and the views are spectacular.
An amazing walk through beautiful terrain.
Beautiful loop like. Easily walkable.
This is our second time on Andreas Canyon and it is beautiful!! Very nice family hike, the kids love to play in the water. The views are very nice!
Best hike Ive ever done in my life. Amazing views
Really beautiful hikes! Lady at front gate seemed unfriendly, or I would have given it 5/5.
Awesome place to visit. We did it on a 2 hour horseback riding tour with Smoke Tree Stables, they are awesome.
Beautiful mountains good atmosphere to relax. Beautiful view and good to walk.
Beautiful and prehistoric looking place. The seven sisters trail was scenic and an easy yet adventurous hike with several waterfalls.
Brought along the kids for a really cool hike. Hiked along the stream and enjoyed the cool breeze in early March.
