Awesome stay, well kept and super quiet. They have bycicles and you can ride in palm springs. Recommended. There is nothing to dislike.
My wife and I had a big misconception as to what to expect from the town. The Tennis Club was a great place to stay. The staff are very nice and genially want to provide a positive stay. Highly recommend having a meal at Spencer’s the onsite restaurant. There are several pools close to each condo with an adult only pool next to the Tennis facility. One thing that was nice we received several mid-week offers for maid service and a mid-week gift box with snacks. I cannot speak to the hotel portion of the resort I would highly recommend a stay in the condos.
Probably THEE most disappointing stay I’ve had anywhere all year. Let’s just start with the room the pullout bed my wife and I used just because we felt like it. It was extremely uncomfortable I wouldn’t even make my dog sleep on it. Then the shower in the master bedroom kept changing temperature without me even touching it! Literally the water went ice cold during my hot shower and it was like that all week I couldn’t figure it out!!. On the last day of my stay the water went out no warning no notice nothing at all! My wife called the front desk to figure out what was happening and after a few short moments my wife was hung up on by the front desk! We were informed that wok was being done on the resorts water line and water would not be available until 3pm however my wife and I needed to be checked out by 11 or we would be charged for another day because they had the room already booked for the evening. My wife and I drove into Palm Springs we were unable to bath or practice covid-19 standard sanitizing before we left the resort. Needless to say we were very upset just not how we expected to end our trip. Nothing has been done yet makes us feel like they really don’t care about the customers and we are glad we didn’t buy the timeshare there they were trying to sell us. Would have been a total waste of 3000 dollars
We just stayed there in a 2 bedroom unit in the bungalows. We enjoyed it very much. The grounds are beautiful, pools were fun, walking distance to downtown for ice cream or dinner and nice size kitchen for cooking. I love how the hotel is tucked up into the mountain and rock. This was through our timeshare trade. Can’t wait to come again!
We stayed here for a girls trip. Apparently the unit where we stayed had issues since earlier that day and maybe even longer. With a 5pm check in and no mention of the water issue, we were disappointed to not be able to use the restroom and take a shower in the room. It would have been more professional to let us know upon checking in. Honesty is always the best policy.
The 2 nights and 3 days stay were very relaxing and we had an amazing time.
Positive: Hotel is in a nice, centrally located and quiet area. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and night life.
Had problems with the air-conditioning and the bathroom exhaust fan the first day was very uncomfortable because they’re really did not fix the air conditioner.
The rooms were amazing and view was even better. This was a wonderful getaway choice, recommend this resort to everybody!!
Nice resort with some history. All the tennis you want at the adjoining facility and several nearby golf courses. Walking distance to Downtown Palm Springs.
Very beautiful place. I would highly recommend this place for a nice getaway.
This is one of my favorite places to stay while in the desert. Its quiet but close enough to town to walk to downtown Palm Springs. Theres 3 nice pools,1 is adults only and 3 whirlpool spas. Its family friendly and always very clean and inviting.
The room looks really nice, but the front desk is awful. We came late at night 1:20am after driving from LA, and wern’t able to check in because the person who was supposed to work that shift didn’t show up. The security guard let us know he was as surprised as us that no one from the tennis club was there and that there was nothing he could do (completely understand), he also didnt even have a phone number for us to call. If the rest of my family didn’t have a second unit we would have had to drive home to LA, rent a second hotel or sleep in our car. When trying to check in the next morning the man at the front desk was rude. When checking in we explained our situation about trying to check in at around 1:30 am to which he actually corrected us and said “it was 1:20am” as if that made it better some how? After that he gave us problems signing into the room despite the registered guest calling the prior night authorizing us to check in. I told him I’d make a phone call to get things sorted out. I then go back up to the front desk only to be ignored by him until I finally had my family in the other unit call the front desk. We finally got our room and asked for directions, to which he said it’s on the second floor, to which I ask where on the second floor? To which he points up, I again reiterate my question as I am aware where a 2nd floor is located but not the specific room and asked if it’s on the right side of the hotel (as if looking from the street) to which he replied yes... upon looking at a resort map, which we were given by my family and not the front desk, we discovered the room was in fact on the opposite side of the building. Overall we were unable to checkin without unnecessary attitude and received NO apology for being stranded in the middle of the night despite them having someone scheduled to be there! As mentioned previously we didn’t even receive a resort map, or WiFi info sheet which are uploaded to be given at check in, the way the whole interaction went it feels like this was done on purpose. I’m not even upset with not being able to check in at 1:20am, I’m upset with the attitude we received and the lack of an apology. Maybe it’s because we are in our mid 20’s and clearly not the average guest but really, is the customer service usually this bad??? Last time I checked you don’t pay resort prices to receive motel 6 service, though to be honest, the motel 6 in Victorville does has better customer service...
This was our first stay at PSTC. We loved it.
I made these reservation a month in advance for my sons birthday. When I got into town I called to see if I could get in early she said it would be a couple hours our room was being cleaned OK so we went and had lunch shopped, we go into town at least once a month, we know our way around. Anyway call a few hours later STILL not ready, check in is at 430, went then STILL not ready YET everyone that walked in AFTER us got there room. THEN I asked for a specific area when I reserved, front on street NOT against the mountains, NOPE THE HOTEL IS FULL not available. So all in all, we use to stay here often with the previous owners BUT not happy with the kurt staff. AND the town is still semi closed so there really isnt much Id go back for awhile.
We love this place. We like the fact that its a private place, not a hotel in the traditional sense. A variety of room types are available. Complete fitness center. Spencers restaurant next door is awesome. We like the history of the place and the historic pool.
Good morning, to me I give it 4 - 1/2 stars
Wonderful stay. Our suite was spacious, clean and right next to the pools! Keep in mind this place is a little dated -- It reminded me of an old 60s movie; a little old, but so charming and perfect for a small little getaway. AND its right in the heart of downtown Palm Springs with plenty of food and shopping just down the street. I will definitely stay again. (OH! - the bed was not the softest-- bring your own pillow or mattress topper if youre staying a while)
The resort surrounding is nice and clean including where I stayed .but the Hot tub was swamp with Honey Bees could not use hottub without standing a chance of being stung. Beds was terrible Mattress was Hard uncomfortable to sleep. Hope this review will help other before deciding to stay here at tennis club resort. Jk
No handicap ramp for visitors, you would have to go around to parking structure to just go elevator.. one front desk that check me in was really nice.
Best place I’ve ever stayed. Love it here!!
Josie the pool attendant was very helpful to my wife and I she made are stay pleasant the place is very nice definitely will come back for vacation.
This was my most memorable trip to Palm Springs for many reasons and one being the decision to stay at the Palm Springs Tennis Club. Our villa came complete with a full kitchen/2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms/huge closet space/patio. Their restaurant Spencers offered a delectable Greek Salad that I enjoyed eating whilst listening to a live piano performance.I happen to like Neutrogena products so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw they supplied our bathrooms with their shampoo/facewash/body lotion. Looking forward to returning next year for the Intl Foreign Film Festival.
Great location, friendly staff, beautiful grounds, but dated room features (kitchens and baths look to be from the 1980s). We’d definitely return!
The manager and staff at the Palm Springs Tennis Club are awesome! They made our stay relaxing and pleasant....would definitely go back!
Do not book online. Apparently, by booking through the resort’s website, it is a “3rd party booking” and the customer service of their internet department is beyond abysmal. I tried to contact them multiple times regarding an existing booking and have gotten nowhere. Now I have a $460 nonrefundable room that is not being used by anyone this weekend for ZERO REASON.
Childhood memories of our Christmas timeshare palm springs vacays... fun in the sun! We stayed here recently, after 15 years, and unfortunately not much has changed in that time. Old kitchens and baths, paint chipped on bathtub, no updates to resort amenities, and only minor facelifts in living rooms and bedrooms. No dog policy is also archaic... I understand not allowing them in common areas, but you should be able to keep them in your room for a nightly fee. The rooms have low pile carpet and are cleaned daily ffs. Several large hotels allow it; this timeshare should consider it as well. For those considering an exchange, Id recommend looking elsewhere.
Didnt get the room I paid for but room was nice....too far from elevator and staff is not helpful
Worst place ever. Very sorry I got mixed up with them.
Location is great to walk to main area. It’s older property but well kept
Really nice place. The staff was friendly and great. Everyone was nice to the kids. Pool was clean. Recommend it
Ive owned here for 30 years. And I STILL love the place! They keep the rooms & amenities updated & the tennis courts are 1st class! No better place to enjoy the US Open. Well, other than Flushing Meadows!! ;-D
The bedroom suits are spacious and functional. Will happily stay there again.
Very nice historic tennis club with an active membership. I visited for league games. Excellent hosts!
Pool, hot tub, Tennis, spa. Good location. Fair price
Great location, location, and location! Rooms are spacious and well.preserved. There were black bugs outside and inside the room. Good with pleasing occupants and each employee greets with a smile.
Had a great time. Quiet and chill. Great views.
History at its best. Great lunch place, remarkable location with the mountains just in the backyard
Beautiful place to stay. Very clean, spacious and comfortable bed.
Great dining room, service, and menu selection. Go to for a nice brunch.
Come here for Thanksgiving every year and it’s always great time. Well kept, centrally locatesd to downtown Palm Springs, and relaxing!
Nice clean spacious convenient garage safewill return
PSTC exceeded essentially all of my expectations! Nice place with modern, updated rooms, nice lighted night view of the mountain behind it, excellent price. We had some minor tech malfunctions in our room (bedside alarm clock making strange humming) but really excellent place overall. Would definitely go back.
Fantastic place to stay in Palm Springs. We are here for a few days in a studio it is modern trendy and perfect for a long or short getaway. Great modern decor in the rooms with excellent comfy king, cooking facilties, refrigerator etc. Beautiful patio with views of Frye 2 home built into the mountain. Wonderful indoor /outdoor grills to cook up a storm, quite reading areas, pools, spa, gym, tennis and much more! Night-time staff very friendly. Walking distance to shopping and dining. Spencers next door and a must eat at restaurant.
Excellent food, excellent service, great atmosphere, live piano music. Wonderful experience.
A mid century wonder with tennis, pool with natural waterfall and the finest restaurant in Palm Springs.
I have only been here for breakfast, the food is good and nice atmosphere out on the covered patio
I liked it cuz it was close to town. On the outside there was thousands bugs, could not use the pools because of tree trimming, inside 3 stove burners didnt work, in the guest bedroom the pullout for the shower to come on was very loose almost too scared to pull it out. I was just visiting for overnight so I could handle it but if they were to fix those kind of problems the place was very neat and clean would think about booking there but not in the summer to darn hot.(111-121) winter is more my thing which will be between 60 and 70 degrees love it
Great place to stay. Pools, hot tubs, within walking distance to downtown core (restaurants and shopping), and generally a great place to relax.
Beautiful property, set right up against the mountain, with extra large suites, a few lovely pools, and a great restaurant. Very central location. But its mostly a time-share place, so service is a bit lacking. But great price for what you get.
Friendly and professional staff. Beautiful building. We have a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment style suite with a full kitchen. Very spacious, but cozy. Our only mistake was tipping the housekeeping staff for cleaning services for the entire week of our stay on the first morning we arrived. They literally only cleaned our suite once. Two other times they changed the dirty towels for clean ones and took our trash, but did nothing else those two times. So dont tip until you leave so your tip matches what was actually done. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
Great place to stay, walking distance from downtown. LOVE IT!
We are here for the week. Lovely one bedroom condo, very clean and well furnished. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Great location, within easy walking distance to downtown area. No complaints!!
Family time is the best!
My family has owned a timeshare here for 30+ years and it continues to get better and better!
Great location in the heart of mid century Palm Springs
Best tennis in the Desert. Nice staff and wind free courts. You won’t be disappointed
Loved the fact that our patio was right next to the mountain-side!
Nice, clean, well kept grounds with plenty of pools and activities.
The Best!
Best spot in town, great rooms, nice pools. Awesome for a family getaway, of for a romantic stay. Cant wait to get back and relax.
Beautiful little apartments to stay in. Kitchen is very minimal. Our one bedroom had a 2 stove burner, no oven. I was able to cook a meal, with some difficulty, but the living space, bedroom, and bathroom are good. The pools are nice too. If you are a casual tennis player, make sure to look at their dress code first. Its nice!
Nice place off the main streets but within walkin.distance or use the bikes Available rooms are clean and.nice.
Good location, but needs some tlc
Always a great time at the Historic Palm Springs Tennis Club. Beautiful grounds and lovely cottages. My family and I have staying here for well over 40 years.
Beautiful room, great staff, excellent restaurant. Its so nice to have a real kitchen so we dont have to eat out all the time. The resort is expensive, but its one of the nicest places Ive ever stayed. They have 3 pools, quiet, family and adult, and 5 spas around the property. Right outside our room was one of the spas and a grill. The main Horeb area backs right onto the mountain, so its very private, too. I would love to go back.
There are no housekeeping service. Not happy at all.
Ate at Spencers. We were able to get a table for 8 without a reservation. Great food and atmosphere as always. The steak was cooked to order. Great appetizers and dessert
Great setting, service and food
Home away from home best keep secret in palm springs
Delicious food and drink. Comfortable atmosphere. I would go back.
Awesome times when i go there
My daughter and I went Stagecoach in Indio. We stayed for six nights, we had such a pleasant stay. All of the staff members were so nice and helpful. The room was clean & spacious. We stayed in studio room with a small kitchen which we loved, it had everything you needed cook. We mixed up our dates and needed to stay one more night, Kimberly was happy to help us out, she made us feel at ease about our mix up. Thank you Kimberly, tell you’re bosses I said you deserve a raise. You’re kind of customer service is so hard to find. I will definitely stay here again in the future. Stone family
Went to Spencers for my birthday brunch. The Eggs Benedict was delicious, as were the other guests food orders. I wished we would have had one of the other wait staff, as or waiter was not as friendly as the others, and mixed up our split check. But, the free ice cream made up for some of that!
Went to the club for an early lunch on a weekday. Visited Spencers and the simple meal was quite delicious. All ingredients were fresh and the food was quite enjoyable. The wait staff was attentive but not in your face. The setting on the patio is pleasant and peaceful. The lights that hang from the trees would be fun at night. Ill definitely be back.
Nice courts and garden area. The food at the restaurant is good with very friendly service.
Awesome relaxing early breakfast at Spencers.
Lovely place. Quiet beautiful, however, the staff selling timeshares was annoying. Called us 3x even after I said no the first time.
Exceptional courts, venue, & staff! It was my first time to Palm Springs & I had such a fun time playing a singles match. Overall, a terrific facility situated in an amazing backdrop & highly recommend for your next visit!!!
Outstanding atmosphere! Great food. Very special place.
Back to the day of cocktails and dinner in a refined atmosphere. Ample servings with top of the line service. Classic cocktails.
Friendly staff, very nice rooms, nice pools, and warm
Quiet facility with much history there. Grounds well kept. Rooms clean.
Had a wonderful dinner at Spencers.
We checked in yesterday. Very laid back (in a good way) staff. We used RCI points to book, and are usually politely demanded to go to a timeshare meeting, not here (thank you!). Nicely equipped room, only two minor issues. 1. Instructed to keep the AC at 80 degrees or under. 2. Bugs...I swept 14 of them up today. Those two issues are nothing when you add up that were in the desert. The room is beautiful, we are not used to daily housekeeping being week owners, so thats a plus. The pools are gorgeous. We have adequate kitchen supplies even in a studio. Its clear the rooms have recently updated. Walking distance to downtown Palm Springs. Charming place to call home for a week.
Good place to play, have a great meal.
Great food and Excellent views.
While this property has been in Palm Springs for decades the buildings are well maintained and the grounds are immaculate. The club rules might be a bit overbearing for some but welcomed by others. Proper tennis attire on the courts and such. The pools and hot tub close at night. While I would prefer them to be open 24 hours I guess this insures there arent any ruckus parties late into the night. Although I must admit I doubt that keeping them open would be a problem. The Palm Springs Tennis Club doesnt attract a ruckus crowd. It is very quiet and relaxing.Walking distance to down town Palm Springs you can park your car for the entire time youre there if you wish.To the owner of Palm Springs Tennis Club. You are most welcome for the review. To answer your question; to earn five stars you could relax the court dress rules a bit. Sure, no one wants to see cut off jeans and ratty tee shirts on the court, but sports attire thats clean and in good repair while not strictly meeting tennis attire should be allowed. People like myself who dont play tennis on a regular basis want to go out an buy entire outfits just for an occasional game. One other thing I would like to see is 24 hour pool and hot tub access. While I agree there should be quiet hours at the pool and hot tub. A quiet swim or soak in the late evening or early morning would be a nice option. I understand there will be times to close both the pool and hot tub for cleaning and such. But you could have them open all the other times.
The food was fine, good even, but nothing to rave about. My friends and I were ttreated well. I was appalled at the treatment of an elderly couple next to us. The hostess led them to a standing height table that was on some inclined concrete near our table. The chairs were high to match the table. The wife had a difficult time getting in the chair. The husband asked if there wasnt another table they could have, and although there were some tables that appeared to be open, they were told that was the only table available. It was cringe-y. I felt uncomfortable the rest of our time there, and was glad when I left. Wont be back.
