This is a real and warranted review. We stayed at this hotel with another couple for my husband’s birthday. We planned to golf the second day we were there. To our horror our vehicle was broken into in the middle of our first nights stay. The valet parked our vehicle in their back lot that only has one entrance in and out. All of our golf clubs and bags were stolen!! We are talking $13,000 of clubs and gear. The hotel said the cameras weren’t working and when we filed a claim their insurance company said they would not pay for the vehicle damage or our stolen items!! The audacity of an expensive hotel to screw their clients this way is beyond me! We spent thousands of dollars amongst 2 couples for what we hoped would be an incredible weekend. We will never stay here again and will be sure to share this horrible experience with our friends.

Extravagantly and lavishly the best stay Ive ever had anywhere. Shell out the extra bucks and please please please do yourself the favor of giving yourself this gift. Amazing staff makes you know they have a care for your stay. Beautiful rooms that will always impress. The little details here are whats really amazing and its the kind of thing you have to experience to understand. An architecture and design junkys dream, this place is a number one of all things palm springs that needs to be on the top of your list.

Amazing place!!! Very nice boutique style resort. Staff was amazing all around and very attentive. Rooms are quaint with great attention to detail. Will definitely be heading back and could be our new go to place in Palm Springs.

Hotel is not consistent about social distancing and masks among employees. Front desk clerk checked us in with NO mask. She also had to check on room’s readiness with housekeeping even though they promise in room information card that rooms are left vacant 24 hours between guests. I don’t expect miracles during these hard times, but at this price level I expect them no keep promises and not just pretend.

Service was lacking for a 5-star hotel. Staff had general attitude of not really giving a sh*t. Pool entrance is super dangerous. Just nothing special for the money. Seems like better, more cost effective options in the area.

There is no furniture in the rooms. No chair. No table. No desk. Not even a decent trash can. With Covid-19, there are few dining options; mostly its go find a drive-through and haul your food back to your room, which means you eat outside in 109-degree heat on outdoor furniture loaded with bird crap, or on your bed. We were upgraded to to room #5, which is next to a frequently used maintenance closet that exudes the sound of trundling carts and despondent workers round the clock. We are locals who like to visit the architecturally significant resorts in Palm Springs, and as much as LHorizon excels in this area, it misses in the experiential.

Our stay was short, and very nice. We really enjoyed the place. The staff was excellent and very attentive to our needs.

There arent words to describe how beautiful the grounds of this hotel are, and how well maintained it is. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully designed. The staff are all incredibly welcoming, detail oriented, knowledgeable and friendly. The food is fantastic, I recommend the French omelette for breakfast -- its A+!

Room not ready until 4.30pm.AC facing the bed making it impossible to use it while sleeping and it was 105 degrees outside.No water in the room.Overpriced for the experience,

The stay had its ups and downs. The room key reader was in need of attention as we had to change room keys at least six times. The hotel should have addressed this after the second request. We had to ask for the cleaning of the device. Even after cleaning the reader it was around a 30% success rate. The lighting at the bar and closet area was intermittently functioning. The AC controls were not so effective. The furnishings need more consideration, the chair leg caster was missing and there is not a proper table in the room or the patio to do any sort of comfortable work or share a meal. The staff was friendly but they were clearly training some new staff. We had a minor incident where we showed up around 11:30 pm and could not access the property, they should have a door bell or card reader at the front door. We had to jump a fence to get in. The management should give the staff better tools to address this when they are on rounds, I dont fault the attendant on this one. The last thing is about the driveway entry, it is a sustainable gravel and decomposed granite, while it is nice. However, if you have a nice car, expect to have a lot of dirt on your floor mats, and if you have a dog, expect a lot of dusty dog prints on the seats, this was pretty annoying. We got really reasonable rates and the property is very nice for covid distancing, but had we paid premium price this would have been an extremely negative review.

This spot is the best! My GF and I stayed here for her birthday, and are going to make it a regular event. George assisted us during our stay and his level of service is exceptional! 5 stars!

After reading some reviews we almost didn’t stay here..... I’m so glad I didn’t let those reviews stop me.Adorable 1950’s boutique hotel. You can imagine Frank Sinatra and stars partying around the pool.....Service was impeccable. Ryan the bartender was very accommodating. Kelly the food and beverage made sure my dietary needs were met..... the bed was like a cloud.... We ended up staying another day . We never left the pool! Very relaxing!

Amazing service!!!! Beautiful bungalow, but the furniture could do with a change...

We enjoyed that the property was adults only. The pool is heated to the perfect temperature. The shower was lovely, and we appreciated the Le Labo products. The staff was great. We were in Bungalow 23, which is adjacent to the Residence. We could hear the man when he was talking loudly and their television through the bathroom vent.

Honoring: Raul, Yollie, Richard, Deshea, Tony, Alex, Kelly, Colby, Brett & Scott! I wish I could individually name more L’Horizon employees that created the very best stay; but name tags have been made obsolete! The valet employees and housekeeping employees were also courteous and prompt! Congratulations to L’Horizon for the #1 USA top rating through Conde Nest magazine. The one aspect to evaluate is the Spa! Services need to be immediately transferable to private en-suite situations, for all services! Fitness needs to be within property as well!

This was one of the best vacation stays I have ever had. Not only was the resort beautiful including the rooms, the staff was so attentive and helpful. My husband and I can not stop talking about how much we enjoyed our visit. We are excited to come back next Spring with my parents for their anniversary.

The star of this hotel is definitely the staff. Super helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice, if a little small for the price and furnishings are mostly uncomfortable, but the grounds are beautiful and you will be spending most of your time outside here. Needs a car service as downtown is too far to walk. Overall one of the best places to stay in PS.

Awesome place, friendly stuff, cool rooms!

Overall overall cleanliness was paid out of 10 not what I would expect for paying $500 a night. On our last night turn over the sheets on the bed to make sure that we didn’t leave anything behind before check out, only to find that we had been sleeping on a laundered feminine hygiene product under the sheets the whole time we were there. The staff apologized and gave us a resort credit of $35, Which I found to be a little insulting to say the least. I wrote the general manager an email and it’s now has been two weeks and I haven’t even received a reply.

Everyone will have their own experience. Here is what I experienced:1. After checking into the room raw sewage began bubbling out of the shower drain flooding the bathroom with sewage and stench. 2. After leaving the room no information was provided except “we are working on it”. We were essentially held hostage in two chairs in the lobby for four hours. 3. No apology for the problem was ever made. 4. The facility appeared continuously understaffed. The pool bar was rarely staffed. Calling the front desk got a voice recorder and no one ever reacted or responded to the message left. 5. While not disclosed while making a reservation I was required to use valet parking which upon checkout I was informed cost $30 per day. The parking area was just a driveway in front of the hotel. 6. While being required to use valet parking, there was not always staff available to get the car. I had waits of 10-15 minutes twice (and note this hotel has only 24 rooms so the wait was not due to other cars being retrieved). 7. There are two entrances from the parking area to the hotel. One through the lobby and the other through a gate that says guests only but was never locked during my time there. Allowing anyone on to the property guest or not. 8. The hotel’s restaurant was closed the first day of my stay. 9. My overall impression is that management is not supporting this property with appropriate resources or care.

The resort is beautiful and the staff was exceptional. I am sorry my trip was so short. I will definitely return to this hotel soon.

What a beautiful, boutique oasis. The bartender knew my name. The mood was intimate and chic.

We had made this booking well in advance at this 5star hotel and when we arrived they told us we had been bumped to their sister hotel. We of course were disappointed because I choose our hotels very carefully. I asked and they assured us that their “sister” hotel was comparable and 5 star..we drove to our new location it was. 3.5star motel with not a staff member in sight (they later called once we left to apologize but they were on lunch that is why the place was locked up!) when we arrived back at L’Horizon the manager was scrambling to find us another hotel, in the meantime I managed to organize and find another hotel through Hotels.com and it was a gem!! Turned out to be the best worst mistake! Forget this arrogant place I recommend a much nicer boutique hotel called the The Willows it’s perfect!

Stunning resort that unfortunately lacks necessary and basic services. For example, they had no coffee two days in a row, and they literally have a restaurant on site. We also have an ongoing duplicate billing issue that has required multiple calls and is still unresolved.Do NOT RECOMMEND until significant service changes are made.

There arent enough superlatives to describe this place! Its the quintessential Palm Springs experience. The place is transporting! The bungalows are stylish. The guests are cool. The pool and grounds are out of a movie. The staff bent over backwards and little touches are visible everywhere - from the engraved plaque on the door with your name to the bucket of ice and plate of cookies each night. The tension just melts away at this place! One of the nicest hotel experiences Ive had. We will definitely return. Great job guys!!!

This has to be the worse hotel in Palm springs. looks cute but when you start looking in details everything is cheap like Ikea, cost plus or Z Gallery, anyways the hotel is super dirty the service is terrible and the food sucks over price for a Motel 6 experience. this place is a pig with lipstick dont waste your money here the parker or colony palm much better option !!!

After booking in December19, I was notified within 5 days of my stay that the hotel was overbooked and my reservation was transferred to their sister hotel, The Weekend. Poor service and accommodation. No additional discounts offered, when The Weekend is ~$200/night less expensive. Horrible experience.

What isnt there to love about this place. 2nd time staying and this place is literal paradise on Earth. Top quality everything, super friendly staff, gorgeous facility. Words do not do it justice - just go enjoy it.

Didn’t know what to expect but we couldn’t have been happier. Staff, room and overall hotel was tasteful and made for an incredible experience. Will stay here next time we’re back in Palm Springs.

Everything from checking in to leaving was perfect. The location, individual chalets, staff, and facilities were excellent.

Beautiful, quiet, exceptional service. Graciously extended checkout time 2 hrs, then generous with use of facilities after check-out (I had a red-eye so was stranded for hours). Eduardo at the front desk and Aria the masseuse are particular stand outs. Complimentary poolside foot massages!

Amazing mid century modern hotel with impeccable staff

What a let down. We had booked this place months in advance. Months! A week before they emailed us to say that our reservation was canceled. Somone famous had booked out the place and they kicked us out. An alleged 5 star resorts treats guest this way? Insane. I woldnt trust them.

Very nice hotel and location but for a leading Hotel they have to make progress on the food and service. The staff is charming but hard to find and when you come in the summer its seems to be a ghost property.The orginal architecture by William Cody is there but the gut renovation doent make you feel at all like you are still in the 50s it has lost the Palm Beach caracter and its a pitty. Some vintage object should have been includde in the renovation the place has no soul.Also who would put today a giant and noisy AC above your king bed?!!! Allo?!!!But the hotel is very pet friend so they are forgiven ....Little bunnies are in the garden ....

Stayed here for our anniversary and it was amazing! Such a quiet relaxing resort. The rooms were mid century design and renovated from the 1950s. The place has so much history. Loved the service and the grounds are so beautiful. Cant wait to stay here again.

Did a relaxing weekday getaway from Los Angeles. Private enough to feel like the place was ours, yet close to Palm Springs down town for a quick excursion. The pool and jacuzzi is open 24h, perfect for a starlit dip in the middle of the night. Spotted a few wild bunnies roaming around, adding to the magic of it all.

So beautiful! Amazing service and the most serene accommodation. Loved the indoor/outdoor shower and having the privacy of our own bungalow. Definitely recommend.

A most exceptional experience. The food was delicious, the bungalows chic and the service pampering. Lounging poolside feet away from our bungalow was a highlight.

Excellent service start to finish. Super lux experience and accomodations. The linens are incredibly soft and the bungalows with personalized name plates were modern without loosing the original mid century modern design. Turn down service is the best i have ever experienced. If you are looking for a romantic weekend and a sexy boutique hotel where you rarely see other guests, this is the place for you.

Beautiful ambience. Intriguing menu comprehensive wine lust. Excellent service and staff. However the food was not equal to the build up. Small portions and one star worthy food. Big disappointment. Desserts were a different chef and were yummy especially Upside Down Pineapple Cake

My wife and I have stayed at LHorizon twice. Each time was fantastic. The first time we stayed was just after they had opened and even though you could tell they were having some operational issues getting everything set up the service was so exceptionally good that we just fell completely in love with the place.The second time was about a year and a half later, during the off season. We didnt realize this meant that the restaurant would be closed, which was a bummer, but that was our fault.In general, its hard to find things not to like - the pool is fantastic, food and cocktails are great, service is exceptional, and for the quality and space of the rooms you get the pricing is quite reasonable.

My partner and I went here for our honeymoon! Very nice facilities.Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with the front desk service and management:They made an error with our spa booking, which resulted in us not being able to use the spa facilities at all during our stay. They didnt accept responsibility for the error, or do anything to remedy the situation (free meal, discounted rate, etc) which made us feel super undervalued, especially since it was our honeymoon :(

This property is on the Palm Springs Architecture map (found at the Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture and Design Center), and it is a complete gem! Found discreetly behind manicured bushes, this hotel entry is a beautifully designed door that leads into a perfectly proportioned lobby and lounge, with a little Shop at the back. Through the lounge leads to a vast open space with salt water infinity pool, bar, and bungalows.The staff was extremely accommodating for Architecture tourists, and we were able to see just how beautiful the property is. It was like walking into a desert oasis! Staying here will be my next trip!

We couldnt be happier with our choice to celebrate a milestone birthday at LHorizon. The entire LHorizon team went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect, all being extremely professional and friendly.The gardens, pool and bungalows are all gorgeous, and extremely private. The entire resort is modern with a nod to the architectural style Palm Springs is famous for. The bed was so comfortable - I cant recall having had a better nights sleep.Our only dislike is that it will be hard to stay in other future hotels without comparing them to LHorizon.

Hotel staff members were exceptional. The rooms were private and cozy - each room is separate from the others. Grounds are beautiful. Pool and bar are lovely and excellent restaurant on site.

Youll feel disappointed when you leave. Not worth the money. White stains on the blankets and couch. Service ranges from excellent to non-existent. Cigaret butts and weeds in the outdoor shower. Lots of small stuff means I wouldnt recommend to a friend.

We had a wonderful romantic long weekend at this midcentury modern haven. Food and staff were amazing. Jan-Bas took such personal care of us and recommended hiking picturesque hiking in Joshua Tree and a very informative modern architecture tour with Michael Stern. Bungalow was just so well appointed and welcoming....

Like last year: almost perfect. The service was very nice and helpful but the food was expensive and this year disappointing (they must have changed the Chef) and the air conditioning seemed to be “at the end”. We even had to change rooms because of a broken air conditioning and in the second room it wasn’t cooling a lot either.

I am infatuated with how relaxing this place is. When by the pool, staff constantly provide ice water, the bar is right by the pool. Open cabanas, two large lounging cushions, saltwater pool and jacuzzi, fire pit at night.The morning smoothie/juice are great I only wish there were robust vegan food options. I had post mates bring me vegan food.

Everything was done smoothly & very well here. Beautiful, efficient, thoughtful & considerate in every way. The only thing that would keep some people away that I could see is that the bathroom shelves were in serious need of refinishing & the shower/tub was very worse for wear-- with huge chunks (grapefruit sized) of enamel missing in the tub, w/stained grout. While I liked the place so much I did not let it phase me & it may have been the only vintage tub in that condition, maybe the more particular folks would want to double check in advance that theyll not get a tub in that state.

This is one of the best hotels in Palm Springs. Service was impeccable, the setting is gorgeous, and the fit and finishes are high end. Gorgeous pool with plenty of seating and shade, and the bungalows are private and luxurious. Overall a fantastic stay.

The decor is cool and the grounds are nice but it was freezing in our room. We had to turn the heat up really high - the buildings are old. I couldn’t even shower for long because it isn’t very insulated with the glass door connecting to the outdoor shower. They gave us a different room and it was very loud - lots of rollers going by. All in all an ok experience - massages were ok - service was ok - but everything wasn’t really worth the price. More comfortable at a four seasons or ritz Carlton. Oh! Best thing was the bed and the sheets. Super comfortable!

This is an incredible little gem of a hotel. Its gorgeously designed, very clean, intimate, and relaxing. The staff was exceptional. Its in a higher price range, but worth the investment. We will definitely return. Perfect couples escape.

I have been here quite a few times in the past and absolutely love it, especially in the winter. A few times I called, Lindsey Lohan had rented the whole place, I dont like her because of that. Then it went through a few different owners and finally, now, it is some over the top exclusive creepy place. I dont know if anyone is allowed to stay there anymore because of how exclusive it is! Weird right?! Its rad but not elitist rad.

So.Pa server was great, the food was good...when it finally arrived, the chef seems to not be able to run a kitchen

This hotel is barely a 2 star experience by anyones standards. I am appalled to have paid this kind of money for a hotel of this caliber. Honestly as I detail my experience here its almost laughably bad in retrospect. I promise you I am not exaggerating -- look at my other reviews and you will see I rarely give bad reviews but I feel its important to warn others so as to avoid this experience and waste of money:First when we arrived we noticed the room was very cold as it was the evening in the winter. We turn the heat on and after several minutes the air is still not blowing hot. We notify the front desk to send someone to fix it and we go out for the evening. We return to the hotel in the evening at about 11 PM to be notified by the night manager that the heating is broken and that they are not able to switch our rooms nor do they have a space heater on the premises. So now I am paying nearly a thousand dollars to sleep in a freezing cold room. So I now have to go out and buy a space heater at Wal-Mart at midnight at my own expense just to try to salvage this abomination of a decision to stay at this abhorrent hotel. They fixed it the next day after a very relaxing experience of having a maintenance man in our room for several hours. Very luxurious...Another huge faux pas is that they call this place Hotel and Spa. So heres the thing with that ... there is no Spa. My extremely average and also extremely expensive massage was held in an empty room that ALSO did not have working heat or a/c (lol). They said their Spa was under renovations which even if it was true this was not mentioned anywhere on the website or at the time of booking. A few more things to consider: The restaurant is just as extremely average and extremely expensive as the massage was. They dont provide you with WiFi details at check-in. The bell told us the pool was heated to 86 degrees all year round -- touched it and it was freezing cold. Last but not least, the cable TV was out for the last night. We asked the desk for towels and body wash to be sent to our room the last night before going out -- wasnt there when we came back had to ask again. Our room was also by the employee area and by the highway which made it loud and not relaxing (but this is specific to our room only so this will only affect a few of the rooms but added to the experience).After all of this the manager only removed our resort fees + valet which barely covers the cost of the heater I had to buy due to their ineptitude.Do yourself a favor and stay at the Parker if you want a luxury experience.

Mr. William Cody always amazes me how simple design could transport me to an era when Hollywood is cool and Palm Spring are there playground I could just imagine Marilyn Monroe checking in and enjoying the view as I have.

Such beautiful grounds. Very top notch BUT for the price you pay you expect more. My overall rating is a 3 and would have given it a 4 but when I sat and thought about all the inconveniences and waiting around I did it was quite annoying. First we always go to the hotel as early in our stay as possible and of course checking in early is usually not a problem at most hotels I stay at but since this one only has 25 rooms it understandably took longer BUT check in is at 3pm and we waited until after 4 pm for our room. This was not the first because we heard other guests talking about this when we were at the bar waiting around for our room and then the next day we saw guests waiting at the bar that the same time waiting for their check in. This was the first waiting game but they did acknowledge this was annoying us so they paid for our bar tab while we were waiting so that was nice.The other issue was any time we needed our car or anything from our car we had to wait for the valet who is also the bell boy to be there. Another waiting game but the blonde bell .The last annoying and probably most annoying part of this hotel is that they only have one bartender who also is the waiter for the pool so in a nutshell you were constantly waiting for your drink and/or you would go up to the bar and he was making drinks already for someone else or had to run drinks. Every time we ordered a drink we felt as though we were putting the bartender out and they were annoyed with it.

Very relaxing and friendly atmosphere.

First time visiting Palm Springs and L horizon made it a day that I will never forget ! The service was on point. As soon as we drove in the valet guy open our door and made us feel like we where walking into paradise. Check in and was given an upgrade to our room!! Thank you Izzy!! Junior suite with fireplace, 2nd largest room in estate. We where given complementary champagne drinks and where ask to enjoy the poolside while we wait for our room.The grounds where breathe taking, felt like we where transported back to the mid century era that Palm Springs is so known for.Settle into the bar and Tylor greeted us and offered us not one but two complementary drinks while we waited for our room.Talk about amazing service!! He was our bartender/server for the whole weekend and he was amazing!! He was extremely knowledgeable about the grounds and made our stay so special and really delivering a 5 stars experience.Room 10 by far the most gorgeous room, Nicely decorated, bathroom stunning with indoor out door shower. Bed was like heaven!! So comfy and made you forget about all ur troubles. Little details go a long way!Having our name engraved on door and coming into a clean room with surprise cookies after a night out made the day special.The poolside snacks and drinks where so good!! The chicken salad was so fresh and bright. Perfect for a hot summer day. The drinks, refreshing and made perfectly.The pool was clean and maintained every 30mins, staff delivering fresh towels rolling up perfectly on chair and checking in with fresh cold water and cold ice towels to refresh ur face and body.I couldnt ask for a most perfect stay !!! 100% worth it and would come here again for sure!!A true gem in Palm Springs.

5 star has bar and quiet location perfect to downtown and city scapes

Had an amazing time here after having an awful experience at another hotel close by. Very relaxing starting with breakfast being delivered to our patio every morning. Cant wait to return!
