We had a great time and very much enjoyed the hotel. The air conditioner didn’t work very good in our second bedroom, but other than that the room was great. There were some elevator problems when we checked in and only one elevator was working so it was kind of difficult with multiple people trying to get to the pool and to their rooms. The staff was great and always polite. We were able to upgrade our room to pool view for a small upgrade fee and we’re certainly glad that we did. The pool was amazing, the waterslide was not open due to Covid restrictions But they did inform us prior to checking In that they would not be available. The bartenders at the pool bar were excellent and made great drinks. We will definitely be coming back and staying here. Thank you for a great getaway trip!!

Lovely stay at Palm Canyon Resort. Check-in was smooth and efficient. One-bedroom accommodation was roomy and clean. Furniture showed a lot of wear and tear. This is clearly a family resort, but plenty to do in Palm Springs, despite COVID-19 restrictions. Overall, I would return for a weekend stay. Resort is about 3-4 miles from downtown/city centre, so youll need reliable transport if you want to go shopping or spend an evening out.

Ive stayed at this place a few times so obviously and hold some attraction to me. Its reasonably conveniently located although you do have to drive a couple minutes to get to downtown Palm Springs. The rooms are nice enough theyve been working on doing some upgrading Theyve also made some improvements to the lobby. The Room I stayed in most recently had a few things wrong minor things like the carpet coming up are wear and tear on some of the cabinets nothing major but also not perfect. The grounds are in pretty good shape and the pool looks pretty they feature it in their advertising. The problem with the pool is the way it is designed it is very difficult to swim laps especially when its crowded which it usually is. They have a childrens pool so they should set aside several hours in the main poor for adults only but they dont do this. As far as doing the diamond sales presentation I find this one of the higher pressure styles of presentation. And the information obtained at presentations here differs significantly from information at other presentations. The difference was not a helpful one and also not accurate when I double check the information. This has happened twice at this resort. So keep that in mind if you decide to do the presentation to get the gift card.

Okay, I am going to try to be extremely thorough here, not for my own clout but because I want to inform potential buyers. This hotel is perfectly remedial in every sense of the word. From the vending machines that dont accept credit cards, to the network and wifi issues, to the broken door handles, to every single detail about this hotels aesthetic. Nothing Great, nothing outright disgusting. I wish I could give it 2.5 stars, but in some ways being average is worse than being bad, because it leaves you with nothing to talk about afterwards. So there it is... average. If you can get it for extremely cheap, it might be worth having a stay, but if you are coming for vacation, you can likely find a better place.

Palm Canyon is a great place to visit. My daughter and her friend went down to get away and to work. However, due to the heat the rooms just would not cool off during the day. The staff provided them with fans to help offset the heat and stuffiness of the rooms. The guest bedroom smelt like .I came down and spent the last day with them. I had a great nights sleep.

They turned me away because I didnt read the fine print on their buried web page that stated they required a credit card deposit of $300 to check-in. I also lost the $110+ non-refundable charge I paid in advance to Priceline prior to learning about the $300 deposit required by the Hotel at the front desk where I was treated poorly, embarrassed and turned away. What did I learn? Priceline uses bait-and-switch marketing/advertising techniques in order to trap consumers into paying additional hidden fees. Palm Canyon Resort and Spa is exclusively for arrogant snobs who can afford to throw their money away in order to have their hind regions bathed by pretentious hotel management.

I celebrated my birthday at this resort last weekend 9/10/20-9/13/20, I had friends who have stayed at this resort and had a good time, I also read good reviews, so I thought I would give this resort a chance for myself. I have to say I am very disappointed. First day I stayed I woke up early morning to use the restroom and there was a roach in the bathroom, I called and complained to the Manager (Jose) I also showed him a picture of the roach, he kept saying over and over how sorry he was and would see what he could do and get back to me ASAP. Next day Im in the kitchen and spot another roach in the sink, again I took a picture and called the front desk right away, on top of that I had not heard from the manager even though he stated he would get back to me ASAP. The front desk lady immediately got a hold of him and had him call me back, he stated he talked to the resort coordinator and stated all they could do for me is give me a voucher to their food court of $75 and maybe waive the resort fees. I think thats very unprofessional and disgusting to offer me just that to keep my silence. I explained to the manger that if there is roaches in the room they can get into our luggages and bags and we can easily bring them back to our home, all he could say is Im sorry and thats all they could do.They should have immediately moved me to another room, compensated me a day and remove all the resort fees but they didnt. On top of all that they have security and another employee staff walking around the pool area babysitting and harassing all the guest, so ridiculous. The staff is very unprofessional and rude. I will never stay at this resort again. Disgusting to have roaches and do nothing about it. I highly recommend to stay somewhere else, do not waste your money on this disgusting resort.

Family centered resort towards the end of South Palm Canyon drive. A little bit removed from the humming downtown of Palm Springs, but there are three nearby grocery stores and a handful of restaurants close to the resort. The pool is at the center of the resort and the bar/cafe is a hub of activity.

Being written by a Diamond Time Share Member. Nice resort that appears to have been built a number of years ago but has been well maintained. Spacious suites with friendly staff. Comfortable beds with extra blankets and pillows. Restaurant in the pool area has fantastic tasting food with generous portions. Something for everyone here, with a pool, hot tubs, exercise room and more. Lifeguard in the kiddie pool area. A short drive to downtown area. Air-conditioning system is a swamp cooler which is an economical way to cool but not highly desirable. Did ask for a fan several days ago and was told they would bring one, still waiting. Called Sunday morning as the dishwasher was not working and was told someone would be here in fifteen minutes, took more than four hours to slow up. Time waiting that we could have doing something else. Staff has been courteous and friendly.

I love this place ! I highly suggest going for the larger one bedroom, as it’s spacious and has a good sized kitchen, and making a stop at Ralph’s for food and drinks. The bar is awesome, but it’s pricey and not really a restaurant, but it’s fun to grab some drinks there. It can be busy in July/August, but it’s great that so many people are reading In the sun and playing by the pool. There are activities to keep the kids having a great time As well. The rooms are outdated, but kept very clean. Highly, highly suggest this place for a fun get away with friends/ significant others/ families.

Pros: big rooms with Kitchens and clean kitchens, close to beautiful hiking trailsCons: the carpets are disgusting in the rooms, the pool area is very tired looking. The chairs and tables are old and run down. Everything is closed- slides and hottub. The security guards use a megaphone with a siren to get people to exit the pool when it’s closing time. This was shocking. Maybe a lifeguard whistle or a nice announcement but a siren is obnoxious and low class. The parking garage is absolutely awful. It is So tight and people have definitely banged up their cars in the garage. Management hung signs everywhere saying they are not responsible for damage yet the garage just sets people up for dings and dents.

This resort has a very beautiful curb appeal and surroundings. Of course also has great amenities! A gym with a basketball court, a large pool for adults and sauna. Pool side for kids with water slides and a laundry room. Last but not least and a parking garage with no fee. The kids really enjoyed just hanging out by the pool. The pool had a bar and also served food, very convenient! And the bar tender Carlos was awesome!!!The rooms were ok. I was expecting the rooms to be turn key but, I think it can use a little upgrading! But, the room had everything we needed, fridge, stove, dishwasher, pots and pans, a toaster, whatever you need to make you fell at home.

Wheelchair Users Beware !!!!Our handicapped accessible room had NO BARS by the toilet - extremely unsafe for transfers.Toilet seat is smaller than commode, and though tightened down, slides 1/4 of the way off upon transfer.A vertical bar is needed on the tub wall (there were 2 horizontal bars, but an additional needed for safety).Bed is SUPER high off of the floor. I wasnt even able to transfer onto the bed myself.Bathroom is small. Not much room for maneuverability or to position wheelchair next to tub for transfer onto shower chair.Thermostat is high up on the wall.Kitchen is small and a bit difficult to maneuver wheelchair.Just SO very unsafe. At least for my limitations. I do not stand or walk at all. There is handicapped parking, but as everywhere else, probably taken up by those who are entitled. When booking, be SPECIFIC as to your needs. As you know, everyones idea of handicapped accessible is different.Shame on Diamond Resorts. You would think that bars by the commode would be mandatory in a handicapped accessible room.Pros:Staff are friendly.Requests from housekeeping are met within minutes! Comfortable, spacious room and attentive staff. Ricardo in housekeeping and Sabrina at the front desk were particularly courteous and helpful. This place is huge, and older by Palm Springs standards. But its out of the noisy and crowded downtown area, and closer to the groves of wild palms (two miles farther south) and a couple desert mountain hiking trails (across the road and to the left a hundred yards) popular with locals. Avoid the time-share sales presentations at this place, and enjoy the hot-tub grotto under the waterfall around the pool area. Nice place for families.

It did have a mildew smell when we arrived, so they aired it out for us, but it still smelled. We were three families that came in three cars and they only gave us two parking passes. They did not want to give us a third and made us park in the street. I spoke to the manager and he was unable to give us an additional parking pass. We even offered to pay, and he just refused to give us one. The pools were nice, however, they were full of mosquitos. They were everywhere. That was kind of gross. The staff from the concierge to the bartenders were wonderful. We purchased a deal through groupon which we got what we paid for in terms of the room. The room was average with a view of a back street. However outdated and musty, it provided exactly what we needed. The landscaping and pool were all top notch & well kepted up. The pool was enormous with a huge rock water slide. There were 2 Jacuzzis also. We dined in had drinks at the pool bar area which was wonderful. The food was excellent! We agreed to sit through a time share presentation for free tickets to ride a tram up a dessert mountain and a restaurant voucher. Although they said it would only take up a couple of hours of our day, it ended up taking 4 hours. They made good on their promise with their free gifts for our attendance which not all those who participated received. Many people were upset which was very sad. Our stay we planned was just two days so we made sure we took advantage of our free vouchers which were absolutely awesome! We had a very nice trip. The only downfall was no room service to tend fresh sheets or towels.

The pool area is probably one of the best around. Two hot tubs two slides, one kids and one for the bigger kids. And then there’s splash’s bar and grill. The drinks do cost extra but are reasonably. Rob the bartender took excellent care of us the whole time he made fantastic drinks was always cheerful and polite. It was a pleasure dealing with him, you could tell he liked his job. He made our experience with this hotel that’s forsure. We just convinced our close friends to book here and 100% I’d stay here again. Yes there’s a resort fee. But during our stay there was constant work being done. Gardening, painting, touch ups. You also get wifi through out the resort, free under ground parking. So didn’t really bother us to much. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and it did not really match up to my expectations. On the way to California we stayed at a Motel 6 and basically got all the same amenities there as we got at Palm Canyon. It is very outdated and feels like they tried to just slap a new coat of paint on some things to make it seem better. The pool is the focal point and their main selling point but I didnt use it much so it didnt sway me in either direction- it looked nice though. The hallways were dingy and had stained carpets, big splotches all over. The stairways smelled like urine. The bathroom had a small, old fashioned toilet and even I almost had to duck to get under the showerhead and Im only 55. Upon check-in we were informed that housekeeping only comes once every 3 days but we could get fresh towels if we call for them, which was fine. However, despite the fact that there is a full kitchen, they only provided 2 small trash cans, one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. They left extra garbage bags but there is nowhere to dispose of trash. We called the front desk to ask where we could dump it and they told us there is no trash can. Also, despite the resort fee, laundry is coin operated and there are only 2 machines on each floor. During our stay, about 50% of the washers and dryers at any given time were out of service and I was forced to traverse several floors to do my laundry. (Not palm canyons fault, I had been told that there would be washer and dryers in the room.) There was just nothing spectacular about this place. If it had been a Motel 6 it wouldve gotten 3 stars, but it has resort in the name so I have higher standards for them.

Outside there is a place to order DVD’s for your room. We had a 2 bedroom ️ that was quite spacious and an extra studio we traded for. The resort was very good at accommodating our requests. They always followed up with a phone call to see if any items were delivered. I’d say the only downfalls are that the 2 bedroom has only one bathroom, there are no grills to BBQ on, and in a reg unit the kitchens are small. They are older units but very nicely maintained and laid out around the pool, and all staff were great! We will be back!

Could not sit on Balcony which is one of my places to sit to relax because the room next door kept smoking pot that was awful even drifted into the bedroom. Ruined my stay.
