Convenient location close to downtown Omaha with multiple screens and movies being played. The Liquid Sunshine tavern is a great place to meet before and after the movie. The theaters have reclined seating and the service team is committed to providing great service without interrupting your movie experience. They even crouch when delivering and waiting as to not block the view of the screen. This is my preferred theater in Omaha.
I love the Alamo, but the west location is my favorite of the 2 in Omaha (which is sad for me as I live in walking distance from this one). Food is good, cocktails are overpriced for their size and taste, but the beer makes the Sunshine Tap Room still one of my faves. Theyre always good for a delicious IPA on tap - my barometer for a good bar and grill.I would recommend either Alamo for their movie parties, new releases, and any of their other showcases. Best theater in Omaha by far!
Seats small, & not fully recliners, more like airplane seats, just going back a little bit. Nowhere near the big plush comfy seats at Marcus theaters. Some theaters have rows so skinny, that customers and staff are constantly bumping into each other. Not as good service and ambiance for an Alamo like the La Vista location. The managers are not hiring the right people, and consequently, they have had to fire employees for atrocious behavior (you really dont want to know). There may be a few hardworking employees that try to lead my example keeping the bathrooms clean, going above and beyond, but there are too many slackers who cheat, dont follow the rules, & just take advantage. Food has been late and cold.
A fantastic theater in Midtown! Smallish theaters with comfortable reclining seats, all with great views of the screen. Great selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices and delivered to your seat while you watch the movie. Tickets are cheap and can also be easily ordered online. Would highly recommend this theater!
Alamo at Midtown had alot to live up to and they succeeded! The renovations looks amazing and on top you have the standard that the Alamo sets. If you want a great place to get food, a great bar with a amazing selection of beer, and a movie theater without someone on their phones the Alamo is the place to be!
Great theater loved the building and the service. For everything we asked for on time and accurate. I think the building offers a really unique experience unlike anything in Omaha. They validate parking for three hours free in a nearby parking garage. Last the important part the Iron Giant was awesome!
Tuesdays are $5 movie days. The seating is very comfortable, and the cost for food and drinks are comparable to eating at a typical restaurant. Instead of the $22 you spend at most theaters for popcorn and soda. The staff are always friendly, they great you when you sit down and continue to take orders throughout the movie. The
Its clean, the seating is comfortable, the food although pricey is pretty good and there are little tables in front of you to put it on. Each theater is not too large and the screen is a good size with good quality sound. Theres also a bar and restaurant before you go into the theater. Its a nice place.
Wonderful to have an Alamo location so close to downtown. While the screens are on the 4th floor, you have the option of stairs, escalator, or elevator. The theaters have powered recliners and still offer a great selection of drinks and food. The Liquid Sunshine Taproom has a marvelous view of Midtown and a very inviting and cozy feel.
Class Act Theater! The Alamo has movie going figured out! This company has transformed expectations from a very passive, attending a movie experience to a fantastic experience where you are waited on with food, drink and great customer service. This location has plenty of parking within a reasonable walking distance. The service is great. I dont find the waiters or waitresses to be distracting at all. We brought 3 children to see Lion King and the staff was very accommodating! We will be returning to this theater soon!
Extremely comfortable seating and an overall lovely movegoing experience. As for food, unfortunately, we ordered the buffalo wing-style cauliflower, which was doused in a brutally vinegary sauce. My wife liked it, but shes nicer than I am. (Its not cause Im nice, its cause I actually liked it, she says, but I think shes only saying that because Im being overly critical.) Anyway, we overall really liked the place.
Great spot for dinner & a movie. Theres a great selection of food & drinks. I always try something new but their Sriracha wings and loaded fries are my favorite
A unique experience. The seating is comfortable and the atmosphere is solid. They provide in-seating service, which is nice. The popcorn is excellent. The candy comes in cool containers and you get more than a normal box. All in all a great experience.
Movie was good, seats were comfy, food good but I ordered a dirty martini that came with sweet vermouth. It was brownish red and sweet, so I brought it to the bar and waited 15 minutes before a single person asked me if I needed anything. Didnt want to be late to the move so as a walked away (I think the manager noticed I was upset) a manager asked if she could help, I told here my problem, she asked what seat. I told her, and 15 min later a drink showed up. It was not good, but at least this time there was no sweet vermouth. Dont order drinks here (unless its a beer).
Love Alamo!! It has great seating and amazing food! Staff is kind as well. A little bit on the pricy side, but that’s a given since it’s a movie theatre.
Managers are terrible and lazyToo many high school kids running the placeThats why food is late or coldEveryone is staring at their phone and not focusing on work/customers
Got to the theater after orders were taken in my row but someone got to me right away and service continued uninterrupted throughout the show. My server recommended an adult shake that was amazing. I had quinoa and roasted vegetable bowl that knocked my socks off. Bathrooms are clean and accessible. I would only comment that the servers should pass upright instead of that hunched waddle. They still blocked my view on first row and probably for longer than if they were walking normal.
This is only the second Alamo draft house Ive been to, but it maintains the consistent cool feel that Im familiar with. I really like the layout of this location, with the box office/ shop on the first floor, the bar on the second floor, and the theaters on the third floor. The staff in both the bar and the theater were very friendly. The seats were comfortable. I just wish I still lived across the street so I could visit more often.
Love this location! The seats have a slight recline which is much better than the Alamo in La Vista. The service is always good and I like how they validate your tickets so parking is never a problem.
Love the concept of table service at the movies!Price wise, a tad pricey, but its an enjoyable experience. I also like the decor, the food was good, and the seat was comfy. My only complaint is you cant entirely lie down on these recliners. But its still very comfortable.
The bartenders are super friendly and knowledgeable for all the craft beers they have.Food wise, I usually go for the hummus trio (pesto hummus is the best) and the chicken bacon goat cheese sandwich. The reclining chairs are a bit more comfy than the other location but the middle armrest not coming up makes it hard to cuddle.Regardless, Alamo is the only place i will watch movies at.
Went to see the new Emma, was an all ages open showing so not the typical theated experience, due to the theater just opening. Food and service was great, and staff was very kind.
Hello,I just wanted to talk to you about my experience at the Alamo Drafthouse restaurant yesterday. I came to the 7pm bingo night asked the bartender for water, waited 20-25 minutes asked a 2nd and 3rd time and then my food came and water came finally with that. My friend got water earlier but the bartender never brought mine. I ordered 2 cheese pizzas and had food poisoning from the pizzas. My stomach had unbearable pain. I order pizzas and usually they’re good but they were too dry. After that it took the bartender atleast 30 minutes to take the check and another 10 to bring it back. Both service and food were horrible. Here’s a picture of my receipt I would like a refund or something. It’s a disgrace that that happened.
Comfy reclining seats, and clean. Excellent dining service and good food. Its the best way to watch a movie. My favorite theater.
Quality, clean location. Alamo has an amazing system of making you feel like you are in the best seat in the theater, no matter where you are. The food is good, the service is prompt, and the theater is comfortable and clean.
The service has started to get worse, especially since opening. It takes forever to get your first order and by the time you do, you dont want to order anymore. Kinda sucks because we would definitely buy more if we could.
Done very well since its grand opening. A unique movie going experience abound with retro cinematic references and complete with a bar and in-theater service! Not the most kid friendly though, and theres a lot of open space just begging for additions.
I love both locations. Alamo is the only place we go to see movies. The midtown location lives up to the standards with yummy food and delicious drinks. The seats are comfortable and the staff is friendly and quick!
Decent beer selection. A little pricey, but dinner and a movie at the same time? Awesome.
Love it go as much as we can!!!! Great food and beer while you watch your movie. I think great!!!! We ended up going downtown, didnt realize they had 2 in omaha! Good experience free covered parking garage, nice big facility, friendly staff and the movie price was very reasonable. I think we paid $12 for 2 tickets!!! Really fun place to go see a movie and eat out with your special someone!!!!
I simply wont watch movies at any theater thats not Alamo. Theyve set the bar too high, not only with customer service, but the quality of the experience. I love all the special events and movies, and how they show fun videos before a movie instead of commercials. This in and of itself is a huge improvement over other theaters. Food is also great, albeit a little pricey, but has never felt not worth it.
Comfortable chairs, well timed service, BOTTOMLESS POPCORN for 7 bucks! Less than most places for one pop corn. Spacious seating and I love love love the no talking or texting rule. And yes they will kick you out. Overall great experience.
I like how they have a no late entry rule because it ensures no ones movie experience is ruined. Their recliners are really comfortable and their five dollar Tuesday deal is always nice. Overall, a great movie experience.
Nice place with good food. The seats are subpar compared to the ones Marcus theaters uses. The paper card ordering system needs some kind of alert button, because on busy nights in the front row waitstaff may not see it or have time to check.
Great concept. Mediocre prices. And even though the servers are infinitely less disruptive than their pre-Alamo Midtown Crossing theatre counterparts, its still annoying af. There has to be a better way.
Wow! Just Wow. Food is good. Service is great. Chairs are marvelous. I truly felt like a king. Also for what its worth, price is right.
Great experience. Friendly staff. The service could be better.. meaning customers shouldnt have to ask servers for drinking straws & wait throughout the entire movie - for the server to not bring them. At all. After requesting them 10 minutes after youve received drinks (before the movie even started). Other than that, very much improved from the previous theater. The atmosphere & decor offers a much more casual hometown bar feel. The leather seats & dining setup are a tremendous improvement!! Very comfortable. Drinks were good, reasonably priced. Idk what the food is like though.
We had an family emergency and had to leave a few minutes after the movie started. The staff gave us complimentary passes to come back and threw in a credit toward food and drinks. They took care of us! The only thing I dont like about this place is that the seats dont recline all the way back, its more like a 3/4 recline. Not bad, itd be better for it to go back further.
We Alamo Midtown. Theres free covered parking, all seats are recliner type, & you can get real food instead of just popcorn & pop. There is a no talking & cellphone use rule. Love that. You take the escalators up to 3rd floor. They do have elevators.Dont forget to have your parking validated. I recommend the soft pretzel, chicken nuggets, & they even have breakfast like French toast.
The food was good. The seating was comfortable. The staff is super friendly. My only complaint is the waiters constantly coming and going in front of you. Its not a showstopper, but I do wish they would find a better way.
Drinks: Didn’t have 2 of the beers on the menu. Took them over an hour to check our ticket for a refill. Water never came or offered.Service - delivered our drink to the empty table next to us baffled where it should go. Then repeated the same maneuver with our food, and almost walked it back.Alamo Drafthouse in LaVista is a far superior experience every time!
First time at the Alamo. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful and love the environment! The food being yummy was just the cherry on top!
The Alamo Drafthouse did it again. I was not disappointed when I went to go see a movie before the actual movie theater opened (soft opening) and they were training their employees. Its three stories and it has an amazing atmosphere. Amazing service, great food, and drinks. I will definitely be returning to this location 10 out of 10 Stars 10/10
I love the movie dining experience and Alamo does a terrific job at it. the staff is always friendly the theater seats are comfortable and spacious, and the food is really good.
Awesome atmosphere, delicious food and cocktails, went to see one of their movie parties and had a blast. I recommend an adult milkshake and the buffalo cauliflower, its almost as good as the fried green beans they used to have.
Fantastic 1st time experience! The bartender on 2 separate trips with my Dad was fantastic, and helpful hell even the cashier at the ticket counter and an employee that took time to ask how much enjoyed everything simply because he was walking beside us!
I really appreciate having access to this type of theater near my home. The amenities manifold, the seats comfortable, and the experience of seeing a movie without having to worry about distractions from other patrons is a huge draw for me. Ill generally chose this theater over any other.
Amazing atmosphere, service, and prices. This is a great place to catch a movie, grab some snacks, and enjoy a delicious cocktail or shake. Highly recommend checking this theater out. You’ll love it.
Great spot for date night and to watch movies! I love the atmosphere and unique dining experience. They have movie parties and special screenings!
Never been to a theater like this before Ill definitely give another theater like this a try I will definitely be back to this one if Im through the area thank you it was awesome
My first time there! Awesome location! Beautiful views of beautiful Midtown! DJ was outstanding! Amazing customer service! The whole staff!
I gave management a chance to respond to my issue but they were radio silent. Our wait staff was completely absent and the guy next to me was watching football on his phone throughout the movie. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to raise this to anyones attention because our waiter was MIA. Likewise, we wanted to order additional food/drinks, but our ticket was never picked up.If youre just going to see a movie, go to AMC. If youre going for the Alamo Drafthouse experience, go to LaVista. This place hasnt figured it out and they dont stand by their company values.
Nicely upgraded since the change to the Alamo Drafthouse. Service, food, and better selections are excellent.Wish reading lights were red or blue and could be turned off, but they were only distracting when I noticed them. Tables were a little far away for comfort.
This place is amazing. They have a great view of midtown and put on really great events like the clue movie night. Im so glad that they moved into this space. I loved the buffalo cauliflower and their rotating drink specials that match whatever movie you are there to see.
Usually go to the one in La Vista, decided to try out the one here in Midtown. It was nice until we stayed through the ENTIRE credits and then they finally started handing people back their receipts and change EXCEPT us! They literally told us to wait while they got change. Got to wait another 10 minutes. We got to watch this clock tick down for employees to clean the theater, it was terrible! Went to ask for a manager and was told they didn’t have one! How stupid if that’s true! Terrible, one time experience went absolutely horrible. Do not go here, just go to the one in La Vista. Stay away
As has been my experience with every Alamo Ive been to, fine and quiet service lightly punctuated an overall excellent movie going outing. This location is clean and well maintained and the chairs are comfortable. The food was very tasty, albeit overpriced, and all of the staff was courteous and friendly. I fully recommend this location, as close to a fine shopping and eating area as it is.Just dont forget to have them validate your parking.
A great theater experience. Staff are friendly and service is prompt, food is creative and tasty, great drink selections and of course picture and sound system are fantastic.
Avoid the crowds and go there. I do hope this place makes it. This was my first time at Midtown as I usually go to La Vista. I was shocked that we had the theater to ourselves, on a weekend night for a very popular movie. The place was nicely redone. Needless to say we had great service! Concession prices are way cheaper at Alamo with the same or better quality. And who doesnt love all you can eat popcorn for $7 - brought to your seat so you dont have to get up and miss part of the movie
The overall everything was nice except for the seating not made bigger ppl
Its dope. The trippy trailers are really interesting
Comfortable chairs, great location, parking garage, good mgmt!!
Without a doubt (both of them in the Omaha area) Alamo Drafthouse is the best movie theater I have ever visited. Never once have I recieved anything less than the best possible service. The atmosphere and the different films/documentaries they put prior to the movie really set them apart from the typical commercials you see at other theaters.Furthermore for the bar to be in tune with great beer from all around the country, getting Founders, Bells etc is just one more thing that sets them apart.
Great theater experience but dont expect to get a water unless you buy something
The food was good, but there wasnt a lot of choices, the prices are what youd expect - a little up there. As a theater, it was good, the chairs reclined a little, unlimited popcorn for 7$, nice place. As a restaurant, it was weird. The tray tables are way to small and they dont move, so its kinda useless, and youll probably have to share it with a stranger which kinda sucks. The whole idea is badly executed, the servers have to awkwardly crawl at your feet and whisper questions to you, and honestly its just super creepy. And its hard to order something in the dark, after the movies started (ya, those little lights dont help like at all). Although Im making it sound kinda horrible, we had a lot of fun!! We probably will go back, and it was just a neat experience overall.
I thought the Lavista Alamo was the best until I went to midtown. New recliners, and bigger screens are at the new location. You will still get amazing food, and service at both locations. The adult shakes and bottomless popcorn are a few of my favorites. :)
We did walk in and still able to find good seats an the food was great. The seats are not the greatest on accessibility so be prepared to squeeze and maneuver choose a end cap seat for best fit.
Like the reclining seats, not broken down. Love the order menus at a reasonable price and free 3 hr parking in garage. Will be going back.
My husband and I absolutely love this theater/company and has always been out number one choice for movies. However tonight we were extremely disappointed...Took 15 minutes to get a drink at the bar even though the bar and theaters were dead. Then took another 50 minutes to get queso and chips after we ordered...I guess AMC next time.
Have to give them 5 stars, excellent customer service and a top notch viewing experience in the 3 times Ive visited. Highly recommended.
Like the new update to this movie theater. The seats are comfortable. Would like to see better dessert options on the menu besides just cookies and one other option.
The new Midtown Alamo has all the makings of another great theater. While it was apparent during my visit that the staff are still learning the ropes - I would never fault them for that as theyve just opened and a learning curve is to be expected. The food and service were nevertheless wonderful, and I cant wait to visit again.
Went to see a movie Saturday evening. Comfortable seats. Their system for ordering needs work. It took forever to place the order. Then after the order for bottomless popcorn and Coke finally arrived, the movie was half over. I tried to get a refill on both and nobody came by to check the paper that I turned up to signal I wanted a refill. Theres no light to turn on to signal that you want something. So much for bottomless popcorn and drink refills. I live across the street and would rather drive to another theatre.
Will never go to another theater! We’ve always loved Alamo and love it so much more now that’s its closer to us! Great addition to midtown!
Can not say enough wonderful praise for this establishment. Everything about their service and culture is like a dream!
Love the Alamo in general, but the service needs servere work, 3x now that people that sit down well after us get waited on before us and they never see order cards it seems. Seats are a tad snug but thats my fault too :-)
Awesome environment and staff! Always have a good time there.
So happy they got this midtown location. Love this place. I always get a milkshake
First time to this location. Normally go to the Lavista location. The interior looks great and has the smell and feel of the other Alamo. Had to deduct for the service and food. We normally come super early, but couldnt this time. We were still there before the trailers started. Wasnt the same greeting and welcome we were used to. Asked for two waters and a BLT w a side of ranch . One drink came. Waited about 5 minutes to put up a sign just asking about the other drink to a different person. Waited about 10 more before I asked again and received the water. The food came later. Fries were stone cold and no side of ranch. I will still be back as I love these theaters.
I was nice and my grown kids liked it too
I enjoy the Alamo. They do a good job with good food and a nice environment. Just wish the seats reclined more.
Went to see avengers almost two months after it came out.10 min late and told I cannot enter the theater because of a policy. It’s in place to prevent disrupting of other viewers..... hmmmmm well I guess nobody ever gets up to use the restroom.Potential of giving this theater around 80$ and now never going back.Thank you for not taking my money!
What a cool place! Movies and dinner at the same time and Ive never been anywhere you can order from inside the theater! Very friendly staff and tasty food. Overall great experience
Cool place but $4.50 for a drink supposed to get free refills but you write your order on paper and i wanted a refill the server looked at the paper and took the paper and I never recieved a refill but he sat the bill in front of us and hurried away.. they need a better system..
Good food for a good price at a movie theater and its delivered right to your seat
The movie was funny and cute but saw most of it in the previews. Had a newbie couple a few seats down from me that thought they knew how to whisper! I almost reported them. I let it slide. I come to this theater because of the No Talking and No cell phones policy.
Place is cool, full service for food movies and drinks, can be a little pricey but still good for a night out
Good sight lines and menu choices, could be less costly than traditional dinner and a movie. Just make sure you arrive the 20-30 minutes before to take best advantage of ordering
Great cinema, you can redline in the chairs too!
Good service. Not too cold in the theater. Our movie experience was very nice
First time at this movie theater, really nice. Great seats, full! service throughout the movie. Will definitely return !
We had a great time from the moment we walked in to when we left. The woman at the ticket stand was super helpful in picking out a movie. The food was great. And the seats (that recline and have a foot rest!) were pretty comfy. We sat at the bar for a bit after our movie ended and enjoyed the fantastic view of midtown. (Make sure to get their early to get a pre-moviw drink!) I love the fact that there are no children and that the servers check orders throughout the entire movie. The only drawbacks were that some of the food was a little pricey, and our food came out to us twice. But given that it opened up not that long ago, Im sure the links in service will get worked out soon.
Customer Service is rad.Movie parties are so much fun.Compared to other theaters like AMC this place is cheap, fun, and the food is okay.10/10 will watch movies again.
The seats are definitely not made for a person of size. However the staff was very accommodating.
While I really want to give this a four or five star I can’t. We have been 4 times since it opened as we live nearby. They are short staffed to the point the food is taking 40 minutes to come out. Also when you put up a paper to order something they may or may not see it for 20 minutes. The last time we went they forgot to give the entire room their bill until after the movie was over and we had to wait 30 minutes to run all of our cards. It just opened so I am hoping it improves but it’s surprising to be a month into their opening and it still me so questionable .
Amazing atmosphere. Friendly energetic staff. Only issue was a mixed drink I ordered in the theater was too strong. Oddly enough.
