I really like this park. It was a very nice place to take a walk. And read all the little plaques. Very inspirational.

Peaceful and serene. Great place to meditate. Be sure to stop and read the plaques with deep and thoughtful sayings which are placed throughout your walk. Well kept grounds shows. This is a gem. If you live close this would be the perfect place to start your day or escape from the hectic work week.

I LOVE this park. The other great reviews are completely justified. I was blown away by the labyrinth in particular, but the rest of the park is gorgeous, as well. There is also ample space to just lay down on the grass and relax. I think this park has something for everyone, and you cant beat the price of free!If youre in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out.

This is such a beautiful place to walk around! I see alot of reviews saying it isnt great for kids however I have a 7 year old and 2 year old and they both enjoyed walking around and climbing fallen trees! This is a wonderful place for nature photos or family photos. On our 1st visit we saw lots of big spiders, lizards, squirrels, fish, a woodpecker, a hummingbird, a snake, and enjoyed the nature around us! We will definitely be back for more adventures.

The park is always clean and very well kept! Ive taken photography photos here and have had picnics. Definitely a family friendly place. I love it.

Such a beautiful place. Great for walks, pictures, and picnics. Public Restrooms are okay. Nice lawn to bring a blanket to have lunch or read. Lots of space to play kickball, throw a frisbee, and fly a kite. Children Friendly.

A beautiful peaceful park. Very well cared for. Stopped on a road trip to nurse my daughter, intended to stop for abulout half an hour and spent almost 2 hours instead. 2 hours well spent and will definitely be stopping here everytime we come through the area.

Beautiful and peaceful. There are some benches near the water feature. You can see turtles and fish in the water. Great place for a picnic of just to sit back and enjoy a good book.No pets allowed.I think it is available for events.The gardens were nice. There were several large butterflies fluttering around.Restrooms available.

Beautiful park ...man-made pond with green coloring but theres turtles and such so thats kind of cool. I love the walking/running path and theres tons of open space to sprawl out and have a picnic or take beautiful pictures. Great place to relax and take in some mother nature! Wish we could bring dogs out there though.

We were there to photograph butterflies and found them in abundance! Other photographers were there for a childs photoshoot and to photograph a wedding. It is a beautiful park! The walkways are paved. There are plenty of benches to just sit and enjoy the tranquility.

Very beautiful place to take a walk, see a little wildlife, relax and enjoy the warm Florida Sun and a cool breeze blowing through the trees. A small pond to your right as you come into the parking area, seems to be the center of attention. Here youll find large koi fish, a display of semi-aquatic turtles, a covered seating area and sidewalk all the way around it. Yoga groups gathering in spots to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Sholom Park.If youre an amateur or a professional photographer, there is plenty to take in and add to your portfolio.If youre in the area, for vacation or just passing through, this park is definitely worth stopping by.

Loved this park. Its a peaceful place where you can walk, sit and read or simply meditate. Brings you close to nature. I felt the trees and even hugged a few. I felt wonderful and rejuvenated.

Best park in the world, I want to get married here.

The place is georgous and well kept but you are not allowed to have pets or play music there. Your also not allowed to ride bikes there. There is a cool fish/turtle pound and a gumball machine that you can purchase fish food from if you bring some quarters.

This is a nice peaceful area. Plenty of room to walk around and it is quiet. Good place to relax and get your mind off things while walking. Fish pond is cool bring a quarter to feed them. Turtles in pond as well. Nice areas to take pictures with family. There is a map in the parking area that you can take with info on the entire property. If you’re into nature this is a nice place if not it’s still cool just won’t be impressive unless you are into this sort of thing. Good place to bring your girlfriend or wife to have deep conversations.

Shalom Park is a beautiful respite near Top of the World, off 200, past 75, in Ocala, FL. Water features, a bat house, wonderful landscaping/gardening, a labyrinth and lots of beautiful flowers, should make this your number one go-to relaxation spot in West Marion County.

Shalom Park is a nice place to spend a relaxing afternoon. We enjoyed a leisure walk. The trees provided shade, and even though it was hot, there was a breeze.Dont forget to bring quarters ( there is a gumball type machine) so you can buy food for the fish and turtles. Have fun.

I visited Sholom Park on the rainy Saturday of Tropical Storm Cristobal. By slowly exploring, I left no petal unturned as I admired the beauty of my surroundings. There is plenty of wildlife to see, many of it hidden amongst the blooms. This is a magickal place that took me on an unexpected introspective and spiritual journey. I appreciate this sanctuary for existing.

An absolutely amazing park that features various walking paths alongside beautiful landscaping and terrain features. The park includes subtle religious and philosophical references throughout and includes some of the most peaceful scenery around. We enjoyed our visit very much and would recommend going. Entry is free!

I always wanted to go here to ease some of my stress. It’s so beautiful... and it does that.

Sholom is very scenic and quite large. You could definitely explore this place for a while. I’ve had a picnic with some friends and took prom and homecoming photos here. Half of the park is a nature dense area with plenty of hedges and walkways which have some really nice areas to take photos. The other half is wide open and has a great gazebo and walkway for medium to large size weddings. The gazebo is a nice shady area to enjoy a picnic and it is big enough to never feel cramped.

I drove & parked at the visitors center. The park is small but peaceful. Great for a leisurely stroll or s nice place to walk for exercise. Its only 2.05 miles of walking trails. Even for children. No pets, except Service animals. Ideal for a nice stroll after church on Sunday! Very pretty.

Shhhh! This may be the best kept secret in Ocala. Peaceful, relaxing, spacious, and filled with beautiful natural scenery. My wife and I shared a wonderful walk through the shady grounds. We felt totally alone in a splendid paradise.

Lovely place. Some parts (labyrinth specifically) could use a little tlc, but over all well kept. I especially enjoyed the plaques that stimulated thoughts and introspection.

A very beautiful and calming place, they did a lot renovations so the place looks and feels spectacular, it is out in the open some people had on mask most didnt but had big space social distancing, cant feed the fish right now pond is actually empty unless they moved it somewhere else but really beautiful and calming, did my daughters grad pics there.

We are new to Ocala and find this park to be one of our favorite places! We like to go weekly and my daughter loves to feed the fish in the pond! Very well kept, relaxing and I always feel safe walking here! We are looking forward to the family fun day coming up in a few weeks at the end of February.

Im sorry that I waited so long to discover this treasure. It is so worth the drive! This stunning park is filled with winding pathways, beautiful flowers and greenery, sweet aromas wafting thru the air and a deep serenity that makes you want to slow down and take it all in. Definitely returning...most likely for a picnic in the grass. Love this place!!!

Beautiful place.You can walk a trail through the garden, the treed area or the labyrinth. There is a pretty pond where you can feed the koi fish. There are plenty of benches where you can sit and take in the scenery as well as the serenity. The only downfall for me is the plethora of snakes. I usually come across three each time I go. They are harmless but I am not a fan of them.

Sholom park held our event Saturday January 25th. We are a human trafficking awareness ministry. Brian the park manager was right there to provide any & all the items we needed. He was polite, flexible and stayed right with us. Absolutely beautiful Ocala hidden gem. So peaceful and clean! Many waking paths, water with fish, and great places to sit and enjoy the scenery.

This is a beautiful smaller park, there is a small body of water with two fountains that has turtles and some Koi. Benchs are placed along the trail and there are plenty of shaded spots to relax in. Clean bathrooms are on site and there is plenty of parking. In the middle of the park there is a small pavilion covered in growth with benchs which could be a nice little place for a very very small wedding.

Great park. Wide open spaces where one can walk and enjoy nature. Theres a lake, flowers fountains, trees and sidewalks. This is (I think) the best park in Ocala.

Beautifully maintained park. Always enjoy coming here to chill. Glad the paths are so accessible for wheelchairs/ power chairs, etc. Park employees are pleasant.

This is such a beautiful park. When I am in Florida this is one of my favorite places to stop by and visit. The gardens are well kept and the paths through the wood, flowers, and open lawn are fantastic... I especially love the rose bushes and the love oaks mixed with the magnolia trees! A beautiful site and scent!
