This place is brand new and beautiful! Activities for kids including a nice playground. Barbecue grills and covered individual picnic area. On my visit there was nobody around. A must see!

It was a peaceful walk and the equipment seemed great for children up to the age of 12. I really enjoyed the facts available at the park to really get into the groove of being outside while learning. The mental stimulation here is truly dedicated.

This park is a nice getaway tucked near downtown Ocala. Its location away from main roads allows it to remain tranquil. The park has plenty of trees, so the hot sun wont spoil your fun. The play structures are excellent, with swings and rope climbing and more. The water feature adds a delightful sound.Only 4 stars because, though I love bats and how they eat bugs, the hot sun bakes the bat excrement in the bat house, allowing the foul smell to waft over parts of the park depending on wind direction.

The perfect park to come to when you just want to get away from everything its my first time in Ocala really touring around. This park has ample parking for your vehicles it has an open Trail for you can ride bikes or just walk around and filled with very helpful information along with beautiful flowers. Also has a clean restroom. To keep the Ruffians down the Police tour the area

Its nice for a small park. The bathrooms used to be clean but for about a year now they have not been maintained well at all w most things broken and always water on the floors. The guy closes the gates sometimes before sunset even though its supposed to be closed at sunset from what I understand.

This small park is shaded and peaceful. There are several picnic tables many are under cover. We saw one hibachi for grilling and plenty of playground equipment for the small humans. Be warned that some of the playground pieces are not shaded and get hot.

Very knowledgeable park rangers who hosted a bat party for the public. Our family liked learning about the bats at the park and enjoyed watching the bats come out after dusk. We look forward to more nature events at this family friendly park.

Great park! Promotes adventure, curiosity and love of nature!! Different areas/stations with a specific theme and educational snipit. Great area to have a picnic, run and play, have a get together or just take a walk. Minus one star for the bugs. Its expected to have insects in nature...but its difficult to find a place to sit and hang out (picnic tables, benches) without an over abundance of ants or mosquitos attacking you.

Birding very good. Great photography for birds: Pileated Woodpeckers 3 seen and Downeys many, Hawks, Owls and migrating Warblers 5 species. In total on this date there were 27 species of birds we identified. Nice water feature for birds. Plenty of seating all around the park. Some new playground equipment for children. New paved walking trails. Water and restrooms available on site. Free parking.

Shaded playground in the woods is ideal on a hot summer day. The play structures are spread apart quite a bit from each other and the kids get a chance to experience the trees and a walking path a little, while going from one to the other.
