Excellent place for tubing. They shuttle you to the site and provide one ride or all day passes. You can use their tubes(which are great) or bring your own. They do have limited parking on site(about 10 cars) but if you get there early enough you can easily find a space.

Today was my first time coming down to Comal River. Mid-April. We got there around 11am and it was a relaxing drift in sunny 80 degrees weather in very refreshing water until 3pm. It was definitely a good move to go early, as there were barely any people to bump our floaties into. Well be going back with a couple friends to enjoy it again before the summer. :)

We had a relaxing time floating down the river. You can rent tubes or bring your own, you can also bring an ice chest with drinks and snacks. When the river isnt over crowded its nice for the kids to swim.

I’ve always heard good things about Rockin r Comal and have always been intrigued by the private exit so this river trip for my wife’s birthday we had a float with 10 people and decided it would be easiest to use the private exit. It was a horrible experience. I will walk a door down and go to corner tubes from here on out. From the “free” parking thats actually $20, to the inexperienced workers who tell you one thing only to find out when you get there it’s the exact opposite. This was the most stressful river trip I’ve ever had. Honestly save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

I went there with one of my friends and we really enjoyed it. The girl at the store we rented the tubes was very nice and helpful. We paid around $17 each one. The only bad thing is we paid $20 for the parking lot. We didn’t know that we had free parking after renting tubes. So, be really careful if you want to save some bucks. Make sure wether the store you go has free parking or not? Because we did the opposite. And I think $20 for two hours of parking is a lot.

Floating the Comal is one of my life long pleasures. Hot summer and cold spring waters of the Comal river go together perfectly. Rockin R has the tubes and will drop you off and pick you up. It is about an hour and a half float if you take it easy. So you can make 2 trips in a day with a break for lunch if you wish.

They have waterproof shoes for only $10!!

Less than a 2 minute ride to drop off and pick up is at the top of a flight of stairs and 2 minutes to the office. Best setup in town! Staff friendly and helpful. Rates competitive. Only negative could be parking. We got a spot in front among the few available.

Great people! They told use all about the tubin on the Comal River and what to expect because our 11 year old was a little hesitant. Needless to say we had a great time! The chute was a blast. 1.5 to 2 hrs was just the right amount of time on the river. Highly recommend!

Great experience and awesome friendly service. $25 to float all day is a reasonable price. I visit every summer and seeing how this will be my last summer in Texas I will try to be there every week at least once.

We had so much fun that day! The people at the counter were very friendly and helpful. Parking was a slight issue since they ran out of parking early. Best to arrive as early as possible to get a spot otherwise you will have to pay for parking. The merchandise there are perfect it you forget anything. Definitely a satisfied customer and I will be returning in the future.

Had a lot of fun going down the river. Dont need to hire a company to do that but Rockin R provided tubes and shuttle back to our car so that was convenient.

In the middle of the week, they tried charging $20 a person just to shuttle, NO TUBE RENTAL. Its a HALF MILE walk. F this place, never getting my business and I hope YOU think twice after seeing this review.

Prices are not bad and the shuttle drops off right at the entrance of the river and pick up is super close to the river as well. The staff is also super friendly no matter how busy they are, they all always have a smile!

This place is a most, is a river wher you can go on your air wheels and just relax for a time and there is some rapids where you can have fun and go fast enough, but if you dont want that kind of velocity, you just can go out of the river and skip the rapid and the go in again when its over, its really fun and is cheap

They were well organized and processed our request for two tubes (one with a bottom one without) efficiently. They let us know all relevant laws so we didnt get ticketed. The van ride was smooth at the beginning and prompt and smooth at the end. They returned our key and got our signature and we were done very quickly. And we had fuuuunnnn.!!!

Im a dad, have 2 kids ages 6 and 3. We rented tubes here first thing in the morning. If you arent familiar with the culture of the Comal in the summer Ill give you a quick rundown. < noon you are fine with kids. After the college set wakes up the Comal turns into a drinking/loud/cussing extended toilet bowl. So, you want to get there early, which is what we did. We were one of the first folks through the door and got to witness a manager who had been awake for like 30hrs straight dealing with a no-show employee he called princess. He was upset but was holding it together pretty well. He got our tubes, took my keys, showed me a good spot to park (benefits of being there early) and we started on our way. They picked us up when the tube was done, I think we waited for a minute, maybe and brought us back.The manager sought me out as I was leaving and apologized in earnest for his attitude (which I didnt think was bad at all, Ive had no-shows and it can be very frustrating).Its one of the best deals for tube rental and shuttle and it literally as close as you can get to the river and not be in the park.The only issue we had was that wed told our 3yr old shed get to ride on a school bus and the bus driver rode up with the parking brake on and burned it up so the school bus was out of commission that day.

The river was fun but when you get to the end its a nightmare the way its set up. You have to rush to try and get to the left side of it to get out. There are like only 2 employees at the end to assist hundreds of people. The water near the end is extremely deep so it can be a very dangerous situation. They need to do better with the end

Do not bring disposable items. Bring Tupperware, Yeti cups, anything disposable can land you with a fine.

Even though it was raining, lightly, they were happy to put us on the river. Extremely easy rental and transportation to the river entrance. Helped handle tubes for us, and even made a trip back to the shop to get a different tube for my daughter. Very accommodating shop and staff. Picked us up almost as soon as we were done with the float. Would use them again for sure.

This place is well organized and streamlined. Highly recommended. They even rent tubes to dogs and allow your dog to ride back with you in their van/bus.

Been here couple of times. Sometimes you can get parking right in location. 25 to float, with toub, and shuttle. Even if you have your own tube they charge 20 and they air up your toub. Plus shuttle. No can or plastic drinks, no ziploc bags. Get your own rope if you want to keep tubes together, first shoot is not for ppl who cant swim or weak swimmer, possibility you can flip over. Watch your surroundings almost everytime I come someone is about to drown. Be careful. Pets are welcome in river

Friendly efficient service with everything you need for a successful float

Yesterday, a group of friends and I floated the Comal. We heard great things about Rockin R, but were very disappointed with the inefficiency of the entire process of renting tubes. As some of the reviews stated, parking fills up quickly, so we opted for the overflow lot. We paid for parking, and waited for the bus to take us back to Rockin R to pick up the tubes. Once we finally arrived, we got in line at the counter to pay for tubes, get our wrist bands, sign a waiver and then wait in a third line for your tubes and to be transported to the river. The line just to get our tubes took well over 30 minutes, and it wasn’t even that long of a line. The entire process of parking, waiting for the bus, paying for the tubes, waiting for the tubes, and waiting for another bus to take us to the river took over an hour and a half. The process could have been done so much more efficiently if we were able to pay at the parking lot and get our wrist bands there. That way, all we would have to do is pick up your tubes and shuttle to the river without having to wait in three different lines on top of waiting for two buses.Also, as some of the reviews stated, it was an absolute nightmare getting out of the river. There are no signs (that we could see) warning us that the water was very deep right before you get out. It’s not shallow enough to touch the bottom and pull yourself out. There are only a few slippery steps to hop on to and hope you can safely exit, since there were only two employees trying to help literally dozens of people get out at the same time. People were slipping and losing their tubes and belongings since you had to quickly jump out on the steps while trying not to fall in the river or lose anything in the process. Waiting for the bus to take us back to Rockin R then the parking lot took another 45 minutes.With all that being said, all of the employees and bus drivers were very friendly. No matter where you go, there will always be lines and waits, but the lack of organization added over an hour to the process. We were extremely disappointed with the inefficiency, and will choose another tube rental company in the future.

Went in to float the river for the 4th of July! Staff was super friendly, well organized. Their store offers plenty of last minute items, clean bathrooms and a private river exit was nice so we didnt have to deal with the crowds at the last public exit.

Very fast and efficient outfitter! We enjoyed our tubing trip on the Comal! Parking, rental, drop-off and pick-up went smoothly and without a hitch. Fun and professional staff. A plus is you dont have to pack your tube yourself! Yay! As we were being bussed back to our car we watched many people(using other outfitters) toting their tubes several blocks back to the business. So glad that wasnt us!

Great service. Easy to rent tubes and walk to the river. They picked us up at the end of it all. We hardly had to wait at all despite it being a pretty crazy day on the river. Would love to use this place again. It was hard to find parking, but we arrived pretty late in the day.

The lady that checked us in was very sweet, and the shuttle driver was very helpful and knowledgeable. However, they only have one exit to get off of, and its only two hours,down river, so even if you go all day, youre going the same path over and over. They are one of the most expensive places to rent tubes from. You must leave your ID, and thats where the issues began. They wouldnt sell just myself beer because I had an older friend who didnt have her ID, so we had to walk all the way to a convenience store to purchase some then leave it in the hot sun because I couldnt bring it inside. After our float they didnt hand me my ID back. The lady checking us out had a snotty attitude that insinuated that it was OUR fault they lost my ID (but yet you have to leave one or else you dont get a shuttle slip) and had the gall to tell the person she went to help out instead of finding my ID of thousands of floaters this rarely happens with a roll of her eyes( He actually got irritated with her attitude and left right then) She then ignored us and another nice blonde woman who was super sweet offered to help and called all the morning employees to see where they left it. She eventually was able to find it behind the counter. Snotty lady never apologized for the inconvenience or the attitude. Im only giving it two stars because of the driver and two decent store employees. This was my second or third time here, and it will be my last.

Very friendly and flexible shop attendant and driver! The only problem was parking. There arent many places to park, including on the street. Some of our group had to park in a nearby city parks lot and then walk back over.

I called and asked about prices and about kids and was given all information and everything sounded great. We got to the place only to be told that they wont allow kids who cant swim to go...even if wearing life jackets. Why they didnt tell me that on the phone, I dont know.

Fun summertime activities.

My son and I decided to go tubing while we passed through New Braunfels. This was the beginning of April, so the season hadnt really kicked in yet. I chose Rockin R because of its location. Which is right across from the park where you are dropped in. Neither one of us had tubed prior. The staff was super friendly and explained everything perfectly. The trip down the comal was fun. We will be back!

Just as general info they wont rent to children under 3 at all not even ridding with a parent. They wont rent to anyone who doesnt know how to swim. All understandable.

This a very Nice and Spacious Time Share it is worth every cent. It is really close to the bus drop less than a block away from time share. This is very convenient if your going to run the river.

Amazing, great place to take kids or just to relax, three shoots / rapids they was amazing, we wasnt too happy that we couldnt bring our food, drinks or cooler they should make that clear on the website alot of drinks wasted but still had fun I would recommend to anyone p.s use sun cream its about 2-3 hours in the sun

This company is amazing. My family and I have used them multiple times in the past month to go tubing on the Comal with our small son. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. Our son had a blast every time and we will definitely be back!

Decent place for toobs

We chose Rockin r because they opened at 8am on Saturdays and we wanted to avoid the crowds and heat on the comal (most other places open at 9 or 10am.) We parked right in front of the shop, got our tubes and we were on the river within about 15 mins. Staff is really friendly, the vans are nice and have air con, and Rockin R has its own river exit so you can avoid the dreaded public exit .If we tube again we will definitely use Rockin R agsin.

I have been to Rockin Rs more times than I can think. I also have been to other business around and none has been as awesome. The people are great and we get great prices! Idk what the hell happened with the reviews that are bad but I promise you, this place is the best in town.

Wanted to charge $20 a person for one trip down the river. Plus an extra $5 if you wanted to ride more than once. Go to Felgers next door. They only charge $12 a person and offer all day rides for no extra charge. You also have to get out at the Rockin Rs exit if you tube with them whereas if you go with Felgers, you can go 100 yards further down stream to the public river exit. Its the same tubes either way.

When you float the Comal River in Texas, Rockin R is who we always rent tubes from!

Overheard the cashier arguing with the group in front of us by attempting to charge them 2x the price listed on their website and the business voicemail system. (I think she was trying to charge $17 per tube.) That group left.Then the same cashier successfully talked my group out of going by telling us about how long the wait to get into the river was and asking us if we really wanted to wait all that time in the heat.Great sales tactics there... Im deducting points because it seemed to me that this business was not interested in renting out tubes - the purpose of their business... Instead they seemed to be trying slimy bait and switch pricing and reverse psychology stuff on customers.Just my observation today...

Parking was bad. The service was good but not worth the 90 bucks I payed when you can just walk back the 1/4 mile to your car.

Ive had my experiences with a couple of different tubing outfitters in New Braunfels for the Comal River, and I can confidently say that this place ROCKS!!! They have a fast, easy system that gets you on the water ASAP (**BIG PLUS**), with very attentive staff thatll tell you everything you need to know upfront before youre even on the bus! Awesome service, THANK YOU GUYS!! You rock!

Super friendly staff, tubes available, bus ride isnt necessary but nice for those who are allergic to walking. Allowed us to keep one of our deflated tubes there so we didnt have to run back to our car.

Im giving this a three so people will read, but in reality its a 1, Expect to stand in line for an hour to get paperwork, then stand in line for another hour for them to breif you on the river, then stand in line for another hour to get your tube while you watch high school kids snack when there is a pile of tubes, then be threatened to be pulled off a public river by police for not having their wrist band. And god forbid you bring the tube back in your truck, because you will be flagged by the police for a DWI even if you havent even had anything to drink for bringing them back. Im a local resident that invited friends and i am ashamed that this place can exist in this town. If you rent tubes only pay for one and grab as many as you want, they dont check any reciept for how many you pay for and they sure dont report it to the IRS

Parking is terrible. They charge more than advertised for the tube and if buy anything extra be prepared to spend a fortune. The staff is usually just a bunch of kids who get rude when it becomes busy which it always is. Expect to carry your cooler and tubes to the shoot and walk about half a mile at least to get to your car. Just go somewhere else this place is just not worth it.
