It was so nice and peaceful. I mean, you can hear cars from the nearby streets and people passing you on bicycles as such, but even louder was the nature. Crickets and birds chirping and other insects and animals doing their own thing(lol)... It was just all really nice. The water was so pretty and I even got to learn about a new fruit called an osage orange. Thats in a pic I shared. Were still a little new to Tennessee and Im looking forward to exploring and discoving new things in this wonderful state we now call home.
This is a good place to begin your exposure to the Murfreesboro Greenway. There are restrooms and a nice pavilion as well. Lots of parking. The Greenway is a beautiful paved trail that also runs by the river. It is a great place to run or take a leisurely walk. The Bark Park is close by for your dog to have some fun on another trip.
This was a decent greenway bike ride. There were some areas of the pavement that needed improvement but overall it was a nice ride along the Stones River. A BIG NEGATIVE: if you take the “Cannonsburgh” trail all the way to Cannonsburgh, you will find some not very friendly homeless individuals in the tunnels by the Churches Chicken/Gas Station area. We were riding our bikes thru there and a homeless couple just stared at us and didn’t move. SMH! There was nowhere to go. So we did our best to go around them without causing a scene but SERIOUSLY that was so Unnecessary and it really doesn’t help Murfreesboro’s attempt to create a better “more wholesome” family friendly image of the city. #murfreesboroTNfail
Very nice trailhead, has a park and a big pavilion. There are 2 trails you can take, one is the freeway and the other follows the railroad tracks and then turns. There is also a dog park and they have a cannon ball memorial too. Lots of grass and space for kids to play in too. Grass is also nicely cut.
Great trails, easy to access and walk. Beautiful scenery with great history thrown in.
The trail was very nice. You almost get run over by people on bicycles but other than that it is peaceful.
Family absolutely loves coming here. Area is peaceful and quiet, and the views cannot be beat in the area. Kids love being able to play in the river, and dogs love coming for the walk. We ride our bikes here often, and most of the time bring a lunch to enjoy the peacefulness. Definately a favorite of my families, and would recommend to anyone looking to get away from the city streets for a little while.
Love to walk and cycle along this trail. Plenty of parking, kids playground and public bathrooms. Across the rail tracks and towards the hospitals is a wonderful coffee shop, shake and burger place.
I have lived in Murfreesboro for 45 years I was so happy when the park was designed and built I have enjoyed that part since day one and continue to enjoy it every time I go it was a very special place and its even better now thank you for Designing it the way you did it is a pleasure to visit the place thank you for asking sincerely James M Spain
Always a good place to get away from stress, always clean, fresh and full of nice folks
Clean and well kept. My only complaint is that the map at this (General Bragg) trailhead was faded and difficult to read.
One of the best an beautiful hiking experience. You will not forget .a lasting memory to share with a friend or the family. Beautiful. Highly recommendedpuppy pal
This place is so good and nice natural beauty .
Great play ground and access to a nice part of the green way. My boys love throwing rocks in stones river
Just like the other Murfreesboro trailheads, peaceful and lots of wildlife.
Dog park convenient. Bathrooms nearby. Beautiful trail by the water!
Very relaxing stop along the greenway
Good site. Hope Snowflakes do not destroy it.

Very nice trails
Clean aved paths nice scenery
Nice place to walk with family
Great greenway.
Such a beautiful place to walk or ride. Nature and history, it could use an ice cream stand.
Nice trail on Murfreesboro for a Sunday afternoon stroll.
Great people!
Nice walking trail it is all paved. Perfect for walking our leashed dogs. The creek was very high though. Water washed up over the trail in a few spots. But had waterproof hiking boots on so no problems. In the rainy season not a place for canvas keds.
Fun biking trail. Follow it all the way to the Doghouse biergarten
This section of the Greenway is perfect for a variety of options with your little ones. Having a bark park its quite popular for dog owners. We tried skipping rocks. Meeting friends at the end of a slide or chasing a ball. Even see the occasional train..choo choo!
I love the playground and Greenway trail here. Its a great place to bring my little ones to enjoy nature and the train going by frequently is fun for them too!
Great place. Lots of information on the history. Well maintained and beautiful scenery.
Food, service, and value were spot on as always!
Walked to fishing spot. Fun. Very busy today. Mike dangerfields swing was lovely
Great place for afternoon walk or workout
The experience is unbelievable, real artifacts and the real to life videos make this an awesome experience in the history of our country. A salute to all who served and gave theyre lives, R.I.P.
Great place to start a bike ride on the greenway! Lots of history here as well!
Clean walking space. Friendly folks.
This is a super easy trail with historical markers in spots. You can learn about the Stones River area and how it relates to the Civil War while enjoying the nature around you.
Trash was kind of full and its hard to spot when Im driving. Nice little place to find nonetheless
All of the greenway is awesome. I enjoy riding my bike there every weekend.
Clean and a nice spot to run. There is a large covered gazebo type thing where you can host partys or just sit down and have a break if you need.
Love this park great place for kids to play and the trails are wonderful taking you to the river where you can cool off
I take my dog to the Bark Park. He LOVES IT!!
Love it here
Love this spot, restroom while youre on the Greenway, picnic pavilion with plug and water fountain access, playground and grills, plenty of parking
My kids love the playground at this trail head. Beautiful park and area, right next to an active railroad track.
Clean and beautiful. I am a runner and it was awesome.
Nice little play ground w large gazebo and open area for dog and kept clean, really neat when train passes so close!
This is a great place to start running on the Greenway. It is in the middle of a couple of good routes.
Great area for children and dogs and walking places to sit in shaded areas also by river great play spot!

Great place to hit the greenway, bathroom and a water fountain
One of my favorite places to mediate.
Beautiful place to enjoy nature and a little bit of history.
Fantastic greenway
First time taking my walks here and i like it.
Nice park next to waterway! Fun fun fun
Part of the stones river battle field and a trail head of the Greenway. I go by this place often . We nick named the monument Braggs balls because of the pyramid of cannon balls
Nice place.
Great place for a family gathering.
I love history.
Gods country!!
Great stress reliever!!
Beautiful
Peaceful
Not crowded
Amazing place.
Okay
Quite. Clean.
Beautiful trail
Playground, restrooms, on the Greenway, and close to other parks
Nice relaxing workout walking
This is a a great trailhead because of the access to the medical gateway trail, Boro greenway, or Stones River Battlefield trails. Across the train tracks is a public restroom, pavilion and a small playground with soft mat plus trains go by often for added entertainment. This is easy to get to on old Nashville Pike.
