Nice long Patriot Trail with occasional wide views of flora and fauna paricularly water fowl. A bit overgrown at times. But still a joyous place.

This is a nice park to bring kids for fun. its good to bike and scooter. There is also a playground and kids can have lots of fun there.

Pleasant place to take a walk. Kids love to toss a stone or two into the lake. Its a fun and easy place to bring a kid to fish. The lake is stocked with trout in the spring and fall.

Very pretty park, antique brick structures. The park across the street offers restored structures of revolutionary history. There is a visitor center but only open on Wed through the week.

Always get my beer here when all the stores are closed, cute girls always working behind the bar, maybe ran into a girl once with a not so happy look once, you can get a 6 pack of heini for 15 but i always give them the 20 for fetching it for me. One real cute girl is there omg she is so fine.

A cute little park. Very good for jogging.fishing is allowed here. Very less crowded.Where the water falls, its a great sight, and I have seen many photographers throng this site for taking a good click. The best time to sob photography is during fall and winter, specially during snow.You can sit by the lake side and read books.I even spotted dears in this park.

I love that I live just yards away from the park. The falls are a place to go and relax and the walking path is scenic. You can also walk across the street and visit historic Speedwell for reenactment Civil war scenes.

Very great area for biking and general walking/relaxation. There are plenty of fishing spots located throughout the lake, which is convenient for anglers in search of their next catch. Parking is included/free and theres a playground as well for kids. Strongly recommend checking out this lake/park. Great for a walk/run/bike/fishing.

Amazing. Off of Speedwell there are swings and sliding for kids . Father stop texting! Small path nice water. Walk down off Patriotic Trail Many. Do people and wilderness a favor NO TOBACCO of any should be used. This is the law AND respect it. If I see someone doing it again And we will videotape and call the police. I will give you the number soon. Overall its a beautiful scenery.

Seems well taken care. People leave trash on the banks, but usually cleaned up by my next visit. It’s a nice little park.

I hike there just about every day with my dog in the morning and he really enjoys exploring the little rocky areas near the dam. I usually run into friendly people and many times fellow dog owners. There is also quite a bit of wildlife that I encounter on the walks.

Its been years but it still the same. Nice getaway to have some quiet time or let the kids enjoy. They can even fish or play and theres a bike trail.

The scenery here is just amazing. You can go fishing, bike or take a stroll along the well-marked path, or just find a quiet spot and enjoy the view. Parking was easy during our visit but there are no restrooms.

Really nice park with nice paved road to walk or bike. It follows a nice river with a little waterfalls. Good parking next to a small playground and a nice spot for fishing.

Absolutely amazing! Great view and was able to take pictures by the waterfall. At the beginning near the parking lot theres some ruins of an old castle, and an old fireplace that was left standing which is really cool and great to take pictures of. It was my familys second time there bike riding! The trails are amazing! It does get steep and a difficult for inexperienced bikers at the end but it just adds to the fun coming down. The only bad part, which is not the parks fault, is that we passed a woman smoking weed and she absolutely did not care that there were children. I am not happy with that part, but it Totally & Honestly did not ruin the amazing sight!

Serene quiet peaceful park in Morristown; walk, jogging, bicycling or just strolling

Went for trout. Very windy and hard to fish. People need to clean up after themselves,,,found a lot of fishing line on shore instead of being put in garbage . People have to think about the wild life in these areas. I recently saved a bird that was caught in someones fishing line. If you snag or break off try to collect a much line as possible and discard properly.

Small playground at the entrance to the Patriots path. Can fish, hike, or bike. Need a permit to fish. Usually quiet and peaceful.

Excellent little pond with a well maintained section of patriots path. Follow the patriots path west to get to Washington valley, foster fields, Lewis Morris park, and the dismal harmony natural area. It makes for an excellent ~16 mile round trip bike ride.

Great place to visit on a nice day!

I spend a good deal of my time running through this park, it is part of my normal running route. One weekend in the summer they were hosting a revolutionary war reenactment. The historical part of the park is small. What I enjoy most is running through, seeing the occasional fisherman or photographer trying to catch that perfect fish or perfect amount of light coming off of Speedwell Lake. The waterfall and old structures are nice to look at but there is frequently litter on the unpaved trails and the lake becomes overgrown with algae in the peak summer season. Come here for a fall or winter stroll and it will be worth it, otherwise I would recommend checking out some of the other parks MCPC has to offer.
