I love America and the history in and around it. They are nice and its local hope yall come see it
The inside is closed due to covid but the outside is a nice little walk about for stretching your legs.
Short tour, but its something to see if your ever in TN.
Its a neat little piece of history right in the middle of the town. It isnt very big and adult admission is $5.00 but the woman working there was very nice and definitely knew a lot of history about the Crockett family. Its definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.
Very personable guide. Highly knowledgable.
Great way to spend my time and $5; we highly recommend. My son and I stopped in on our way from Panther Creek State Park to David Crockett Birthplace State Park. Initially, I wasnt excited about dropping $5 per to get in, but I am very glad we did. The guide working was very knowledgeable and spent about an hour walking us through the facility and answering all our questions. All proceeds go back to the upkeep up the tavern and grounds. I will definitely stop in again on my next pass through Morristown.
A non profit museum stocked with artifacts. They reenforce truths and dispell myths about Tennessee, favorite son Dayy Crocket
Its a neat place to drop by. But none of its actually Davy Crockett items, property, lodging, etc.
Very helpful and knowledgeable people to assist you questions and information. Due to that one fact, I would have to say it is one of my top museum visits. Highly recommend taking the time to see the displays and talk to docents.
Loved it. The guide was very informative. She did an absolutely wonderful job.
Looked to be a nice piece of history, however the facility was close. Sunday. Ill try to get back by one day.
Pretty
Nice place to take kids. Learn some history and see some really neat things.
Great tour packed full of information. Our guide was friendly and informative. Its a lovely little property and more than just a store. We had an hour long tour for $5 entry per person. Great price! Considering the state isnt covering their costs. We learned a lot and had a great time!
Very cool place! The lady guide is very knowledgeable and friendly.
Interesting place. Very nice and friendly people. Gotta visit...
Although this is not the original tavern building owned by the Crockett, it nonetheless looks and feels like a very old log structure. Lots of historic memorabilia including some old millstones from the Crockett Mill. The docent was knowledgeable and very pleasant. Well worth a visit.
Awesome quaint museum. Not a real big place, but very informative and a must visit for historians!
Wonderful experience and the kind lady that does the tour is AMAZING
The guide was great. A real book of knowlede. Im 71 and grew up on Davy Crockett. I was excited to learn more about him and walk the grounds be walked on. He should have been president. Remember if youre sure youre right, go right ahead.
The site where this is, was owned previously by my great grandmother. I brought my kids here to show them where their grandpa grew up.
We had a lot of fun at this little stop. Its bigger on the inside, trust me. We learned a lot and spent a good hour checking out the place. I really recommend it for anyone that enjoys history.
Ancient, amazing cool history in an urban sprawlContrast is flash reminder of the then-now America riches we built and socialists take for granted
This would have been better if it was open
Beautiful grounds. Sadly they were not open per their scheduled hours.
Interesting authentic homeplace
The volunteer was exceptional explaining the materials and the history of the Crockett family. Highly recommend this small but interesting stop.
Very nice. The tour guide was absolutely wonderful and really knew her history.
We went today because it stated online Sunday hours 8-10. But the sign out front says they are CLOSED on Sundays! We had to be satisfied with peering in and seeing a pretty garden and covered wagon under a mossy roof-- until we saw a little hidden sign as we were leaving that nobody was permitted on the grounds after hours. So disappointed to have hubby drive off the beaten path to cross this off my bucket list. Hope someone will change the hours listed online to help others, as we wont likely return.
Great historical guide from retired teacher there. So interesting.
Love it
Great place!!
Not much to see here. Better Crockett museum in Greenville, TN
Beautifully and lovingly preserved, a must see when in Morristown, TN
The guide was knowledgeable! She interacted with my kids and allowed them to touch and play with things around the museum. We all enjoyed it!
Cool place to visit
You can learn some about how he lived.
Nice History

Wonderful piece of history. It’s a must see
Priced too high. Just a store. Historically important

The lady volunteering was very informative, was great with the kids, kids were able to touch and participate in items at museum.
Very interesting
Closed but interesting
Great historic landmark. Teaches history and preserves it as well.
