Beautiful park, in the center of The Green, in the center of historic Morristown. However, I have to say, as an African American man, I have always felt unwelcome in Morristown, and its surrounding suburbs since working in the area (commuting daily from Brooklyn, New York) back when I got my do first job right out of college. Unfortunately, this part of New Jersey (and many parts of this country) lacks economic diversity and wealth (hint: majority people of color around the park and Green are from the nearby low income housing, or the homeless - both white and Black. Note, a visit to nearby South Orange or Montclair NJ, clearly shows the difference in people (upper/middle-class Black and white community) and class. Maybe one day gorgeous historic Morristown will reflect the openness and beautiful diversity of America. In the meantime, please do visit and enjoy this historic beauty of a town, if possible!

Located in the heart of Morristown is this historical Park showing several statues and a fountain with shopping on three sides.We visited here tonight and it certainly makes us want to come back in the daytime to see it while its brighten sunny outside.With several businesses at which to buy a drink or meal, this makes it a great destination stop for lunch or midday snack.We also recommend checking out this park during sunrise or sunset, as the views are surely spectacular!

Great little park in the middle of Morristown business district. Good place to meet up with friends, maybe explore some history or check out one of the local eateries before you set out on your excursion in this area loaded with history dating back to George Washington. The Christmas lights are a must see. The annual Jazz festival. St Patricks parade, Grand Fondo bike race, monthly car shows in the summer, Charity runs, And many other festivities. Just dont jaywalk or park illegally

A delightful park in the middle of historic Morristown, New Jersey. This is basically the town square of Morristown. There are lots of trendy bars and restaurants around here. The floral arrangements are very nice and the statues are interesting giving this park the feel of a European formal garden.

Outside dining did not take away from the food or service at Roots. We cannot go back again and enjoy a nice dinner.

This has to be one of the best downtown parks in NJ. Filled with history and nice places to relax. Large trees growing throughout the square makes for lots of shaded areas in the middle of the city like environment. Small stores and shops surround you and offer just about anything you could desire. With a hotdog cart located at the north side if you really want a very inexpensive city experience without being in the city. They have a Jazz festival coming up and I plan to make sure im there for that one. I highly recommend you visit if you havent already!

Always lovely and lively! Christmas lighting and decor are worth seeing. Surrounded by some authentic restro and bars! And century 21 for those great shopping deals! I can spend hours strolling around watching those amazing old architecture, statues and people. Its a wholesome experience

Lovely and historic green space in the middle of Morristown.

I like the idea of having a green area in the middle of town however it is always full of homeless. I wish the town has a place for the homeless to hangout in and make the green nicer by adding some outdoor gym equipments or a playground.

We brought lunch here and had a little picnic. Would have been better if there were seating. And no racist dude with a megaphone.

Excellent customer service. Everything done with a smile but they do not let you sit there and eat it you have to take it with you its all take out no sitting and eating or drinking your coffee

The Pokestops are pretty great and its a nice spot to sit and chill during the day. I also walk through all the time at night and have never felt unsafe.

Its a nice park in a great location. They keep it pretty clean and I consider it safe. There are many events and a couple of food trucks park there during lunch (at least thru 3 seasons)

Its such a cute place to walk around with so much history, wish the local restaurants would step up their game tho

Beautiful family friendly space with great events. It would bye nice to have more shots surrounding it with the restaurants rather than corporate buildings and department stores.

A great place to walk around and relax. Lots of different stores around the area. There are also vendors around the area that sell hotdogs or sandwiches, and other foods. There is meter parking so dont forget to put those quarters in. Lots of Pokemon Go stops as well for those of you who play, can meet many other players. Safe and secured area and safe crossing roads on every angle of the square. If youre looking for a good walk, I would recommend this area.

It was beautiful! And I love seeing all the animals coming to our table and wanting some food. So cute! And it too have beautiful water fountian with statues on the top. This place had even had trees we can relax in the shade and enjoying outlr time.

I live At Metropolitan which sits just across from the Green. If not for the Heards of Homeless men that squander the park it would be beautiful. Im not insensitive, But you dont have a shelter in the same area where people pay 3500 a month for a one bedroom!

Nice park in the middle of town. Only downside, some of the statues (e.g. George Washington) are roped off so as a tourist you cant read the plaque.
