Absolutely Beautiful! Well worth the trip. Its a must see. Come for a casual stroll and take in the peace and beauty.Wear walking shoes because this place is Huge! You will not be disappointed. Well preserved head stones, mosiliums, and monuments dating back as far as the 1800s.Drive on through and check it out!
The magnolia cemetery is a beauty. Although one typically doesn’t pay visits to cemeteries unless they have a friend or relative to visit, the tombstones and history of magnolia are simply stunning. We advise everyone to please be respectful when visiting - do not disturb those in mourning by driving quickly or blasting music. A worthy stop when visiting Mobile.
Beautiful old and historic cemetery. Maintained reasonably well. “Confederate Rest” is especially beautiful....final resting place for numerous confederate soldiers. Very peaceful and serene.
Nice cemetery & memorial/celebration of traitors to America but I gave it a nice star rating because of how nicely kept the place is. Should be said this is a better nation because of their loss.
Beautiful. We spent the entire day out there️Perfect cloud cover,a it even rained for a few minutes
Large cemetery laid out on grid. Easy to drive thru (although a walk is nice). Great collection of 19th century cast iron tombs, fences, and statuary. Nice Civil War-era cemetery plot.
The 2nd oldest surviving cemetery in Mobile, this is also one of the most photographed. It is a beautiful place with amazing funerary art as well as large live oaks, azalea bushes, and other native plants and trees that make this a favorite place for many to take a stroll or walk their dog, or just come by to see the final resting places of some of the founders of our beautiful city.
Found my Great Grand Fathers tomb site at this historic cemetery thanks to the help of the older gentleman in the head office there. Grounds looked well cared for and the ambience is peaceful.
Historic graves from the 1830s on - well worth a visit.
Would go back to explore some more.
