This part of the Hank Aaron State Trail has a great urban trail with railroad tracks on one side and lovely long golden grass on the other side gently towering above the Menomonee River. The park replanted a lot of the same grass that was there when the Native Americans lived in that area along the river. It is a wonderful, re-energizing spot to escape the bustling city life right in the city!

Nice walking and biking trails along the river. Quick, easy escape to nature trails right in the city. Park by the domes or on street by the stadium, as long as theres not a game going on.

Nice park with paved walking/bike paths. A few paths that branch out for more natural paths. Not a lot of shade so keep that in mind of youre walking a doggo on a hot day.

We went on a candle light walk here. It was very nice and a lot of people were out walking. I would have liked it better if the trail was cleared of snow. But there were little camp fires along the trail and free pastries and hot chocolate at Urban Ecology.

This is one of my favorite places in the city, the Hank Aaron State Trail, which I run/bicycle regularly, runs through it. Apart from the trail, as a natural enclave in the midst of the city, it is beautiful, full of flowers, birds, butterflies; I love spending a day here with my cameras. If you plan to run/bicycle, be aware that theres almost no shade and can be sweltering in the summer, so plan for mornings or late evenings.

Great area for scenery, bike riding, & hiking or walking. Huge hill covered in wild flowers that give a view of the surrounding area, including downtown. On the water and a mother duck swims up and down with her new babies...Have seen chipmunks, ducks, raccoons, birds, & snakes..Miles of trails & pathways to be discovered. Stretches from 96th & Schlinger in west allis to the south side to downtown Milwaukee. If you whistle in the morning, a chorus of birds will respond back...People of all ages & fitness levels enjoying all it has to offer...
