Nice little bit of green space to relax and view bits of Milwaukees rich history, what? You didnt know? Look up trading outpost, bridge wars, baseball league, riverwalk, did you know at one time the city considered building over the river to cover it because of the stench?? Interesting stuff....

This is my neighborhood park and its well kept, never very crowded, river adjacent, has great views of the city, and is conveniently next to the historical society. Its a great place to grab a picnic table with loved ones or park under a tree with a good book. The gazebo is very pretty and the lights at Christmas time are always worth a visit.

The park is a great place to relax near the Riverwalk. I was there for a boat parade, which my kids loved. Look up Milwaukee River keepers for the boat parade information. The only downside to the park in late August, was lots of bees / hornets. They were so bad that we could not picnic like we had planned.

Its said that Fr. Marquette landed on this very spot to help steal Indian land. These days, its a lovely, classical park with a great bandstand, near the Historical Society, and a short walk to a dozen great bars and restaurants. The excellent Riverwalk goes north through Pleasant and south to the MKE Public Market. Easy walk to Panther Arena and where the Bucks play. Tight parking and voracious ticket writers, so mind the signs while youre having a beer, a brat, and watching the nationally famous State Street bridge go up and down.

Beautiful walk day or night, many sculptures around the path.Boats are available for rental, benches, small parks all over, interesting to see the lights at night, and watch the bridges going up and down for the boats.Look around all the tall buildings around you. Parking is easy and free after 6pm.

A beautiful park on the Milwaukee River in downtown Milwaukee. Steps from the Milwaukee County Historical Society, which is housed in a lovely old bank building on the corner. Speaking of steps, there are wide steps leading down to the river where you can sit and look out on the water. Its peaceful and calming after a busy day, or in the afternoon on a lunch break or a walk around the city. Picnicking is encouraged, as there are tables provided. During the summer there is a free music series that is well worth attending. Its not usually crowded, but it is a popular draw. Pere Marquette park is one of my favorite spots in all of Milwaukee. I bet it will become one of yours.

This Park lays alongside the Milwaukee River and across the water from the Marcus Performing Arts Center. It has a band shell, well used for summer concerts. As a stop on the Urban Trails it has a seasonal Pier for paddlers & boaters to use. During the holiday season it is home to a large lights display of many figures and strung trees.

A small park along the river in downtown Milwaukee. Venue for many events. Commemorates the visit of the Jesuit Pere Marquette in the 17th century. A good place to bring kids to.
