Nice Christmas tree display. Its always enjoyable to walk through there. Recommend going at night to see the lights on the trees. Dont forget to drop your letters to Santa.
I enjoy just walking around and through the park; especially during these trying times in our lives. It gives me a sense of peace and quiet for enjoying the birds singing, and even though we have to keep our distances from each other I enjoy seeing a few people out getting their exercises in for the day.I think whenever possible you should check this park out for yourself and just enjoy how peaceful and quiet you just might feel.
Cute and fun little park with some lighted trees surrounded by nice restaurants and an historic steeple. Easy parking at night.
Beautiful place downtown to let the children play after taking them on an architectural walk or after a downtown church service. Some lovely shops and restaurants nearby. Be certain to look at St Paul the Evangelist Cathedral, founded in 1847.
Its a pretty cool park with nice views of a church and MSOE. For some reason lots of parks around Milwaukee removed their fountain statues, which is kinda sad. But this place puts up a big stage in the summer for festivals. Then in winter, they put up a lot of christmas trees, which is festive!
Very relaxing and chill they even have a small play ground for kids, historic views with beautiful bars neae by
The park still has its picnic tables out. We ordered carryout dinners from Elsas on the Park, which is across the street & ate in the park. It was a very pleasant evening.
Go spend some time there this Christmas season
I love coming here with my daughter. New equipment for the kids to play on.
Enjoyable park and fun festive happenings
Walked threw cathedral square park after having happy hour lunch and drinks in downtown Milwaukee Carsons. It was beautiful. They have all kinds of decorated pine trees from all over. Like theres a tree from an elementary school that the children decorated with ornaments of the faces on it, a tree with different flags on it and many more. If you go, take your time and really examine the trees. Its fun!
Its pretty, but I used it as a track and a gym. Look, I dont play well in traffic and stopping for the crossings was messing with my time. But it did let me get a good look at the place. Its clean and neat. The playground is new and well maintained (so far), even if the pipes the play structures are made of are too thick for me to wrap a hand around.
Great small park area, new playground, some picnic tables, good amount of shade
Precious green space in downtown.
Beautiful during the Christmas. I think its get better every Christmas. I noticed that they redone the playground and it is way better! my kids loved it! new playground makes so much better in Cathedral Square Park
Nice park that offers some summer festivals and activities such as Bastille days and jazz in the park every thursday. Food vendors are available during these activities. Park is relatively clean although it is located in a very urban area. During Christmas season there are lights on display. Street parking available around the park for about $3 per hour. Free parking available after 6pm
Beautiful park with plenty of shade trees, tables spread throughout and pet friendly
Lots of open space here! Good spot for a picnic. The play area for kids is a pretty typical, but it has this cool giant xylophone. Good place to check out with kids!
I was impressed by the beautiful Christmas decorations this year. Amazing architecture of The Milwaukees Archdiocese Cathedral and Old Milwaukee Buildings found along Milwaukees HOP street car system connecting the Third Ward District and Milwaukees Eastside. This park was originally the City of Milwaukees Seat of Government.Famous for the 1854 riot against the Fugitive Slave Act, over 5,000 Milwaukee residents freed Missouri slave Joshua Glover thus allowing Mr. Glover to find refuge in Canada via the Underground Railroad. Subsequent trials against the rioters lead to Wisconsin becoming the only state to find the Fugitive Slave Act unconstitutional.
Light were beautiful
Nice park.. great location. Many different events throughout the yr here. Christmas they have where the whole park is decorated in Christmas trees from different neighborhood schools... In summer they have Bastille days. Which is like a small festival.. no rides for the kiddos tho.. food vendors. Music.. activies.. nice park
It was okay. Volleyball is played in close proximity to playground. There were a few foul balls that came very close to hitting the children.
I was at Cathedral Square Park to see the Eddie butts band. It was the last night of Thursday night jazz in the park. All the vendors were amazing. I totally enjoyed the food, folks and fun. The band was great! Cant wait till next year!
Nice little green space in the center of Up Town MKE
Great view of the square and old buildings, nice patch of green to break up the city, and all new play equipment. Lots of festivals held here in summer as well.
On our 1st date, and he took me to see the lights. We walked, he held my hand, we talked, and we laughed. The Christmas lights were amazing! Very personal and romantic. Perfect 1st date.
Usually its really nice, but all the food vendors were not there this time 8/15/19. The weather was perfect and the band did their best. Always a great mix of peeps just looking for a good time. I thought it was too many dogs for such a crowded event and a couple dogs actually were barking at a pitbull that came through!! That was intense.
Peaceful amidst the bustle of the city. Enjoyed the themed trees. The interactive tree you had to sing to for lights was fun.
I live next to this park its a wonderful place to go enjoy a sunny afternoon take your dog for a walk or one of the many festivals or musical events that are scheduled all throughout the year by East Town association
Beautiful park in downtown Milwaukee. Lots of trees and green space. Theres a brand new playground for the kids. In the summer, theres an awesome farmers market every Saturday and Jazz in the Park on Thursday. They celebrate Bastille Days and all things French in July and decorate the trees for Christmas in December.
Lovely place to just lay in the grass and take in the sunlight.
I had the best time at Bastille Days 2019. Great people, great food, great bands and last but not least GREAT WEATHER!!! I look forward to it every year. The organizers did a fantastic job mapping out stages, and entertainment for 4 days. The most popular thing crowd seem to really enjoyed was hanging out near the replica of Eiffel Tower. Its so BEAUTIFUL at night when it lit up. Its also a great place to meet people of reconnect with old friends. I highly recommend coming to Baststill Days. You wont be disappointed.
Nice place to visit
Jazz in the park is a fun thing to do every Thursday. The park was well kept and mostly clean. It features a nice playground to bring small children to. Its nothing fancy but would be a nice spot to rest and relax.
Beautiful decorations
Very pretty outsude
I pass through Marquette alot when making my commute(s). The park is a small, walk-thru, peaceful journey. High quality surveillance and campus security makes the park very safe and essentially sound for brisk walks or, a quiet stroll to think and/ or meditate.
Beautiful day and a great cause.
Very good park. Many activities in summer.Food festivals etc. In the winter different schools put up Christmas trees. Kids playground is also there.
Here is a special recipe for an unforgettable & awesome summer. You must have live music, delectable food, dancing, & friendly people!! THIS, people, is why I luv luv LUV festivals!!! The entire family is able to enjoy themselves together AND with others at the festivities. I havent met a stranger yet cause everyone is sooo inviting. Let loose & forget ANY troubles. Make sure you attend at least one festival; you will not regret it!!
Easier to park than I expected. It cost $3 for 2 hours. And there was ample parking.
Beautiful at Christmas time. But also nice area anytime.
Its a nice park that always seems to have something going on, whether its Jazz in the Park, farmers markets, or one of many festivals. They just finished a band new playground for the kids, too. Its really a perfect commons area for a community.
Jazz in the Park at Cathedral Square Park is the BEST! Thank you for having lots of food and LOCAL beer choices!
The park was great. I love the idea of sitting out on Thursday night listening to some good music . . . problem tonight was the music. Just not my cup of tea at all.
There was supposed to be a Bastille celebration this weekend. We arrived later on Sunday and the place was cleared out!
So pretty at night summer night and winter nights when the lights are up!!
Wonderful park. Clean and beautiful. Just do something about the few homeless/drunk people that just sits there. Dont want to always have one eye on them when I take my daughter there to play
Beautiful.
Awesome architectural building.
The Christmas lights were absolutely beautiful!
Great park, but Im really rating Bastille Day, which is held in this park. Great festival, please attend, you wont be disappointed. This place is great, great festival, surrounded by great businesses.
Bastille days event was fun. Good food. Park was in nice shape. Loved the Hop.Parked under the freeway for a reasonable price.
Why do people bring dogs to a festival with so many people. Humans can hardly walk so why would you subject a poor animal thru this? I saw a dog stop and piss right where people were walking in the middle of the street. Not right and pretty scary.
Nice quiet place to relax
Took the hop to see the Christmas lights. It was a lovely afternoon.
Nice outdoor entertainment, music concerts and snacks
Watched an amazing, uprising country singer called Abby Anderson. She is a darling. My friends and I took pictures with her. An evening to remember.
Jazz n the park
Beautiful park in the middle of the city. Has a nice playground for kids. Has a farmers market on Saturdays. Does have port a potties.
I like this park. Theres always something going on at this park ( music, festivals, events, etc.). They just added a playground for kids and I think its awesome. The only problems are the size of the park, homeless people and no enough parking sometimes.
Bastille days such a fun outdoor festival!
Great park in the middle of Downtown Milwaukee. What really makes it stand out from other parks is the amount of garbage strewn about and the concern I always have when walking alone here after dark. 5/5 will hurry through hoping a homeless person doesnt rob me (or worse) again.
We love down town we go every year
Really nice park for the kids to visit especially for the holidays
Its a nice space downtown with events going on throughout the year.
Attended Bastille Days and its one of the best festivals in the city... my favorite! Bignets and chicory coffee is my first stop! And the weather is beautiful!
Lots of nearby places to eat and drink. Great playground for kids. Music stage. Right on the streetcar line.
Great space
Went to the Milwaukee firkin festival. Great place to enjoy premium beers and the outside. If you live lower east side, east town or northern 3rd ward, you can walk easily or enjoy the hop for free until November of this year(thx potowotami)
Absolutely beautiful during Christmas time!
Absolutely love Cathedral Square park around Christmas time.
Its a beautiful little park in downtown Milwaukee. There are various attractions throughout the year.
Very beautiful weather this evening and not to crowded.
Theres a beautiful Cathedral and numerous nice restaurants and sports bar as well as a beautful park
Beautiful little park with swings and slides, great place to walk dogs as well!
Attended Jazz in the Park. Nice relaxing setting and event. A great uptick for Milwaukee.
Nice park, great space during Bastille Days and for Jazz In The Park.
Beautiful park, nicely decorated for this time of year.
Its a nice, one square block park with a variety of interesting businesses and MSOE across the street. The electric trolley stops here too!
Great Park on Jefferson and Wells St. I used to do all of the festivals that they used to have.
