Much effort has gone into developing this park along the east bank of the Milwaukee river. Excellent access to both the Oak Leaf trail ( bicycle & walking) and the OL Milw River trail are here. The Milw River trail (east bank) continues south to Hubbard Park. A beer garden on the north end and excellent trout fishing this time of year! Enjoy

I love escaping the hustle and bustle of the city by exploring the Greenway. Choose between the paved Oak Leaf Trail or the unpaved trails closer to the river. Be careful biking these unpaved trails as a few abruptly end under the water.

Went on Fathers day and it was really a nice site to see. The water was higher than normal which caused the water to flow slightly different than what I remembered. Also, there were no fish swimming up stream this time.

The Rotary Arboretum starting at the Urban Ecology Center is really great. The switch back trail starting at the top is lovely reclaimed prairie full of wildflowers and native grasses. There is a path from top to bottom along side of the woods that displays huge rock sculptures from various geological layers from prehistory and info. Then the walk along the river or through the woods makes for cool hikes that are quite easy depending on path. The paths are well groomed. It can be muddy in a couple of places after a rain but mostly dry even after a rain. It is a jewel of the city.

Its wonderful. Fall colors were so bright.

Did some fishing here today. Didnt catch anything but still had some fun. Cant wait for the salmon to start running!

The Milwaukee River Greenway is a wonderful natural compliment to Milwaukee and to the river. It allows for hiking and mountain biking along the Milwaukee River just below the oak leaf trail.

So many trails to walk or ride a bike. The views of the river from the bank is awesome. Abdundant wildlife.

As time goes on and I muse about my time in this area I remember how much fun my friends and I had here. Sure there was strange homeless people who thought I was going to steal their stuff, and broken bottles on the ground but ultimately you find something soothing in the rushing water and the comfort of your friends.

Hidden gem. Had to ask the locals for directions. One of the coolest spots in Milwaukee to grab a pint of locally brewed beer. Would recommend to anyone who loves nature or beer!

This is a wonderful park to take the kids. They have a good play area for the children to play. The park has a large and beautiful water park for everyone to enjoy.

An amazing gem in the heart of Milwaukee!

This area of the Milwaukee Park system is very wonderful....Best time to go is early in the morning, but it is generally safe at any time.... Since the Bike Trail was opened across Hampton( by Dairy Queen) there has been a substantial increase in Bike traffic and Runners, Walkers, Joggers &c....Also it is the season for Frisbee Golf which seems to be increasing in popularity....Most evenings and weekends there are Soccer games going on....So in all, Id have to say that the area in relatively safe and it is quite beautiful in the park and along the river

This is a great place to go on a nature watch with friends to catch up and talk about things. It is very cool to see all of the graffiti along the way. I recommend going here for a morning jog.

The Milwaukee County Parks System has some of the most beautiful spaces in the region. So many things to offer in our Parks and this area near Lincoln Park is no exception.

I was at Brown Deer Park off of Bradley Rd. I must have drove by this River Greenway. But I had fun at Brown Deer Park.

Hubbard Park is a gem with well maintained historic buildings. The well managed beer bar makes this park a great place to enjoy views of the Milwaukee River.

Peace in nature in the middle of a busy city.

It’s beautiful and I love walking my dog here. Most people have their dogs off leash, though (there’s signs against it) which is kind of a bummer and there’s a lot of dog poop left around. Still one of my favorite areas. I’ve seen beavers, deer, and turkeys in here. It’s a great resource if you live in the city, but still beautiful to visit if you don’t. There are a couple of spots where homeless people are living, so I don’t recommend coming here at night.

This is one of those special places that encourages calm relaxation as you walk along the river banks. There’s all sorts of flora and fauna along the path, which can be narrow and rather rustic at times.We were here on a lovely spring day and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. This is an excellent place to recharge and enjoy an apparently unspoiled natural resource, which probably looks a lot like it did before European settlers encroached upon its serene beauty.Visit this place when life becomes too chaotic to bear, and you’ll be glad you did.

Very nice option for biking in the Milwaukee area. Paved Trails going through the woods. Not a lot of traffic. Beautiful scenery. Also, there are a lot of options for places to stop have a snack, coffee, Etc. Nearby. You can connect almost seamlessly to the Ozaukee trail that goes all the way to Oostburg and is paved.

Beautiful spot to walk to, and then sit in the street! I always sit down in the street and watch the cars drive around my fat body, it makes me feel noticed and empowered! Standing in the street in the milwaukee river greenway is fantastic. It teaches me to love myself, and be secure identifying as a wolf porpoise hybrid. LGBTQ RULES! CHEERS!
