Its like stepping back in time, beautiful view of the lake front! And the fountain with koi fish in it! A interesting place to see in Milwaukee! $10 per person and only by reservation online! Well worth it thank you so much. Coming back to see new exhibits.
Fantastic place! Very cool to see what rich people lived like 100 years ago... and the art was cool too.
Great place to host a wedding. Made our daughters wedding day even more special
Such a gorgeous venue, hands down my favorite spot in Milwaukee.
Attended a wedding reception there. Lovely venue.
The only real reason I knock a star is because I thought we would get to see the whole house, but parts were closed off (probably to help with preservation). But, if you like looking at older houses that are kept in the condition of how they used to be, defiantly check it out. Totally worth the money.
Italian architecture at its finest. It’s free on MKE Open Doors. And I think free for first Thursday monthly, but please do check with them before hand.
Love the new additions to the museum!
Delightful place for an afternoon stroll among exhibits and gardens.
This place is such an exquisite milwaukee spot. Today was my third time at the Villa Terrace. The first I toured the museum, the second I took photos on my wedding day, and today for a lovely networking event. That being said, the space is versatile for all different things. Its located high up on the hillside facing Lake Michigan and the overlook is gorgeous!!!
A really incredible and beautiful house, filled with some rather underwhelming art. Would recommend visiting in the summer when the outside is open.
Breathtaking views! Absolutley Amazing home, both inside and out!
Haven’t visited this place yet. But it’s beautiful even from the outside.
Perfect venue for a beautiful small wedding. Highly recommend this site for summer functions.
The Villa Terrace was the perfect location for our wedding! Megan was a treat to work with and brought a calming presence to the planning process. She did a wonderful job of helping us to visualize our perfect day and make full use of the terrace, the Great Hall, the courtyard, and the gardens.
Beautiful place, one of my good friends got married here and it was spectacular.
If you like art and are in Milwaukee this is a must see. The beautiful history and decor of the building alone makes it worth while. The stories of the display here though are also worth checking out.Note this is also a popular event venue for its lake views and unique aesthetic.
A number of guests have been somewhat disappointed with our recommending this. Maybe you need to revisit multiple times to really get it. There is an extraordinary vision at work here as a sense of place with an almost perfect relationship to the bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. It takes time and repeated visits to appreciate that you keep coming back, not for the wonderful variety of decorative art exhibits, or the masterful iron work of Cyril Colnik, but for the setting - the building and the gardens and the lake.
Theyve got some good art but the real draw in my opinion was the house and grounds. Its an amazing site.
My favorite place. The art can sometimes be a bit odd but the home and the gardens are well worth a visit.
Actually, we attended one of their free Sunday concerts, this time a three piece Jazz combo featuring Vibraphone, Bass Guitar and Drums. Excellent & very relaxing.
Made me think I was visiting southern Europe, full of beautiful art.
Gorgeous venue. The garden and view of Lake Michigan is spectacular. The courtyard feels like Italy! The concerts on Sundays are lovely. Visit the museum inside too.
Its the greatest place ever and I would recommend to friends for next event.
I really enjoyed seeing this beautiful old home. This is not a very big museum, but the exhibits that were here when j visited were very interesting. I understand that they change exhibits frequently and some of the past catalogues i saw did not look as interesting so i would reccomend checking to see what is here before visiting. The grounds and the house were fabulous and worth coming to see in their own right.I really enjoyed my visit and i am planning on bringing my mom here next time she is in town.
What a gorgeous museum of architecture, horticulture, and visual arts. This is one of the most beautiful places in Milwaukee and a definite place you have to visit. They do events. They take part in doors open, and admission on off event times is reasonable and its worth it to spend an hour or two in this urban oasis.
Enjoyed a beautiful wedding here. Classic Roman building.
Sunday morning jazz with Jack Grassel and Garrett Waite
Beautiful venue with excellent food and perfect weather.
An amazing place to visit in Milwaukee. For ~7$ you can enter the Villa and see the decorations, and the amazing garden. The history of the place is so exciting, you can have a brief explanation about it as well from the people who work there. Impressive!
Beautiful, amazing detail and character all around. Amazing view!
It is absolutely gorgeous, my nephews wedding was held here and it couldnt of been anymore beautiful. Dinner was supposed to be on the terrace and rain was coming in and they gathered everything that was set up and moved it to the courtyard to keep all the guests dry.
Villa Taerrace was the perfect venue to celebrante 40 years of marriage for Tony Caffaro and Amie Zak. Beatiful place---beautiful family!
Visited for a wedding. Very nice place for a smaller wedding.
Its a very beautiful place for events. However we visited that as a museum and it was good for one time visit. If there is any exhibition going on there,it is the best time to visit.
Amazing venue! The staff is sweet and friendly
Very nice galleries and event venue
First time going there it was free of that day it was really nice beautiful
Really beautiful views and cool art pieces!
Going here is like taking a step into old Europe. The statues, architecture, garden is here for you to explore at a relaxed pace. Plus, the art exhibits are unique, interesting, and thought provoking. Last, at times they have an artist in residence teach the kids or adults an art lesson for free. Cool spot to check out.
Stunning Italian style architecture with courtyard, gardens was the home of the Smith Family (A.O. Smith, Corp). High end finishes reflect the familys wealth, yet still has a family home feel displaying photos of the children playing on the property.
Very nice space...be sure to visit when the gardens are in bloo.
Beautiful place and architecture. The view of the lake is sure to have your mind blown.
A true Milwaukee treasure. Currently, an excellent exhibit of British royalty.
Beautiful venue for events and also an amazing house museum with galleries that feature year round exhibitions of all types of art!
It is so beautiful in the summer. Staff is always helpful. Many come here to take pictures.
Great Place For Kids & Art
Beautiful venue for a wedding with Natashia Nicole photography
Listened to very relaxing in the outdoor atrimum,
The main attraction is the property, grounds and gardens. Visit during blooming season and you will not be disappointed. I do wish there were more artifacts, art and period furniture in the home though.
Always beautiful - especially when the gardens are in bloom.
Beautiful house and museum! They have garden concerts in the summer
How much to rent this place out for a day?
Beautiful house to tour
Beautiful venue for weddings and events!
OMG! This place is exquisite! Its so serene and peaceful! The garden and fountains are so beautiful; the view of Lake Michigan from the house is a wow factor.
I was here for a wedding reception and I was just blown away at the buildings architecture and design. It had all the feel of modern art meets downtown classics. A must visit, even if its just for a minute or two:)
An absolutey gorgeous building in the heart of an old goldcoast sectiom of Milwaukee. Impeccably maintained garden with a beautiful central courtyard and a panoramic view of the lake from the back porch. An absolutely perfect sight for a wedding.
Very nice area and historic
Went here with my wife and absolutely loved it. Its very quiet and peaceful. It was interesting learning about the family who built it. I recommend this place for any art enthusiast.
A very nice small decorative arts museum with interesting shows and a great venue for events.
Gardens were beautiful.
Wedding party was awesome!
Was here for a wedding. what a stunning location
What a beautiful museum! Landscape and the view are spectacular
Beautiful art, woodwork, stonework
Simply a beautiful home and grounds overlooking Lake Michigan with World Class views, set among elegant old homes on the bluff. Events throughout the year.
Beautiful historic Italianate Villa ...part of the Milwaukee Art Museum. Free summer Sunday morning concerts there -- Cafe Sopra Mar.
This place is very beautiful and has some interesting history behind it. Its not very large so it only takes an hour or two to visit the whole place
Beautiful home with great art and wonderful views of the lake!
The museum is beautiful. Loved the houses around it
From the patio this is probably one of the best views in milwaukee! Beautiful garden and museum with a very friendly staff.
I love yoga at the Villa Terrace. Their concert series is great, too!
Great local history about the owner and his family and the architect who designed it. The location on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan is spectacular.
From the standpoint of a museum theres not much to see but if youre into architecture check it out. Beautiful grounds, well worth the small admission charge.
An amazing house and grounds!
Very beautiful
Cool art in a nice home. Gardens are lovely.
Thanks for bringing this historic home back to life!
Villa with gardens and beautiful Lake view. Plus featured art work.
