Wonderful park. Can get muddy after rain, but the dogs still love it. Lots of trail options. Great visit even without a dog.
Beautiful park and a great place to let the pups cool down on a hot day! Water is shallow so they can run and don’t have to swim. Busy park during peak hours, I have seen up to 15 dogs at a time. If your dog doesn’t get along with others or you are nervous, maybe not the best place for you. Great walking trails but VERY muddy, it doesn’t get a lot of sun in parts. Met a lot of great people and it is my dogs favorite park in the summer!
Beautiful hills every last person Ive met in this dog park over the 15 years Ive been coming to this location have been extremely friendly. Quite secluded. Mulch path most of the time. Benches. Poop bag stations to use all over. I absolutely recommend this park (there is a $5 dog honesty program)
Love the river and the nature walk but then trails are not up keep. There is really no gates and the front entrance is no gate. If you want to take your dogs a swim. Great place to go. However, best on leash cuz it has so much woods.
Wonderful. Check out sarge approved on facebook. The lady who makes homemade, all natural, dog treats and biscuits (and matching dog bandanas and human masks) will meet you at the park!
This place has No Dog park and the dog park is not worth the time it very very rough to walk on on the path. Its hard to find a place for the dogs to potty and No pond or lake it waste sewage plant Eeewwwwwww
Great place to play some fetch and let your dog run around in an open area. Our dog loves playing fetch in the water!
One of the best in the area! Shallow water for dogs of all sizes. Can be VERY muddy. Bring a towel!
My dogs love it here. There is a variety of terrain to trek through. They love to get muddy and jump in the water to rinse.
Our dog Kooper LOVES this park. Make sure to wear clothes and shoes you dont mind getting muddy! ;-)
Great place to take my little dog! We both loved it & all the other dogs were so friendly. Its also nice to not have to have him on a leash so he can run & be free.
This is by far our favorite dog park in the county.
Always beautiful coming here
Awesome dog park! Many pretty trails.
Love this place! very wild and muddy, I try and bring a pruner with me every few weeks to keep the trails cut back a little.
Great spot for the dog that loves the water...and mud!!!
Great place to allow your dog to go off leash. Some muddy areas along the trail and some water. In order to go there you need to get a license which is available at the entrance or you can do it ahead of time through Milwaukee County.
Lots and lots of mud. But the dog had a blast swimming
Love it here. Love to hike with mom and play in water with other dogs
We love this place! Its beautiful and there is so much for our dog to explore!
Simply exceptional. Bordered by a creek and river on one side, and fences on the other, this dog park is the best in the Milwaukee County Parks system. But visitors should plan for it When its cold and icy, you should wear your cleats. If its wet out, wear your muck boots. There are times Ive walked through the park and not seen another dog or human and other times they are all over the place. Offering outstanding views and a back to nature feel, this park is a unique gem.
Good & Bad:Good: beautiful flowing river near near the rear of the park & large hills to climb with a pretty view.Bad: Main paths need maintenance. Granted that it is springtime/wet season; however, wood chips or shredded hardwood would make this an outstanding place to take your dog.
Beautiful park with huge potential to be the very best .Good wading depth to introduce a young dog to water before theyve learned to swim. Bring a towel and prepare for a dirty dog. Im all for letting dogs be dogs.Human and dog trails are in abundance. If thats what youre into bring hiking boots. Some trails do get muddy. This park is not fully fenced in, but I like it that way . If you dont trust your dog, then this isnt the park for you. Like any dog park, dogs should be off leash. I do encourage anyone visiting any dog park to study up on dog body language to be aware of what to look for.Id really love to see this park at its best. Wood chips on muddy parts, human trails trimmed back a bit, and agility equipment rejuvenated. Water dishes, garbage cans, and potty stations all over.Overall though, this park is one of my top 3. Im willing to pay each year ( like I do for Rolfs Dog Park in West Bend) to see this park thrive!! Paying the annual fee, however, seems to be distributed between all 7 county dog parks. Im not sure how I feel about that. Time will tell.
This is a good place to take your pup. Heavily wooded and our dog enjoyed all the paths and other dogs
My dog loves this dog park, he gets so excited just pulling in the parking lot!
Had a great time
Nice fenced in park. The trails are well worn, albeit a little muddy sometimes. Wonderful access to the river. My dog loves it. Havent had any issues with dogs here, just people not knowing how to handle their dogs every once in awhile. All in all nice park. Wears my pup out every time. :)
Beautiful space. Make sure you bring bags. Its a super popular dog park, so they sometimes run out.
5he dog love the water! Needs to have the trails cut way to much tall weeds on the paths.
Fun creek for the dog to play in. He was able to stand pretty far across the water so it’s not too deep. Very muddy trails but I’m sure all the dog parks are muddy right now. Some hills to climb for the more athletic dogs and owners!
No place like it for my dogs AND me to hike and enjoy the woods. Playing in the river is a YUUUUGE bonus for my pooches.
Needs a lot of TLC, but otherwise its a great place for my dog
Love the park! It needs a little TLC.
Brewzer loved the deep snow. I was not wearing boots. Would have loved to take him around more. We will return for an extended romp.
I love this park. Tons of trails, kept clean, beautiful, with a variety of terrain (woods, meadow, river, hill). Simply as a nature park it would be nice... with the added benefit of being fully fenced and thus safe to let dogs off leash it is superb.
Absolutely beautiful wooded area, little stream, very quiet and remote. BUT crazy amount of mosquitoes and got lost in the interwoven mud paths.
Great place to take your dog for a swim when the weather warms up!
Perfect place to take your dog. Never big crowds of people.
Granville is great in the summer and fall, muddy in spring and potentially slippery in winter. Ive been going there for 15 years and like the people and dogs. It is really just a hilly wooded area, with river access. Fencing is only on 2 sides, so not good for a dog that roams and does not mind you. The hills are great for ball tossing, as it is easy to throw, and makes the dog work. The river is great for a drink and to cool off in the summer (for the dog).
I’ve been to this park before a long time ago. I brought my Dane here for a little Romp on his birthday. He’s a pretty well mannered puppy. First of all I don’t remember having to pay to use a public park. Paid the $5 and went in of course started with leash on just to get him used to it. I eventually let him off and he did great, and met some new friends. We walked the trails. And came to the “swimming hole” where about 8-9 people were hanging with their dogs. And one of the people’s labs decided to grab ahold of my pup and no one grabbed the lab and all stood there like snotty jerk offs. NOT a friendly group of people. Of course I walked away perturbed. I don’t think I’m going back there again.
My lab mix loves this park, plenty of trails to walk around on and space for dogs to run. The river nearby is somewhat polluted, noted on the impaired waters list, and smells terrible some days.
I love this park! I would go to it all the time with my charcoal lab.
This dog park is NOT fenced in all the way around. The entrance to the parking lot is NOT fenced up. Our dog got spooked and was able to run right out of the park into the parking lot into oncoming traffic. Thank goodness somebody was able to grab him before any accidents happened. Its also horrible muddy and flooded every time theres been rain. Dont mind that as much as the fact that the park isnt fenced.
Always a good time. A bit messy but thats the fun part! If your dog isnt dirty they didnt have a good time. Be careful for mosquitos in warmer weather and buy spikes for your boots in the winter. It gets very icy. All in all its a great park with lots of trails. Its a good workout for you too
The best dog park in the area. Can be muddy after rains and in spring, but has a variety of elevation and landscape options for the dogs
Large wooded space with lots of trails.
This is a nice place to take the dogs for a hike!
My favorite park in the area! It’s hard to find, but worth the journey.. bring bug spray and be prepared for some serious mud after it rains.
Great place to take your dog to for a run
My dogs and I always enjoy this park! Clean and always friendly fur friends.
I like fenced in dog parks. I hate that Milwaukee charges to use dog parks. Parks are public! Really muddy. If the park is not fenced in DO NOT LET YOUR DOG OFF THE LEASH. I do not care if your dog is trained. Mine is not.
Always our favorite dog park. Half hr drive, but worth it. Our dog, Siff, loves running through the water and open areas with the other dogs in the area.Come prepared with a towel for u and your dog, and clothes you dont mind getting muddy or wet, if you plan to get near the water (where other dogs may also jump up on you while wet), and DONT forget strong bug spray for warm weather trips. When its rained or winter, the park gets flooded or icy.
Overall is very nice dog park but many of the owners arent in good control of their animals
I have mixed feelings about this place. Took my 5 month gsd here for her 1st time off leash. Our first visit was AWESOME and she had a blast! 2nd time she got attacked by 2 pitbulls. They bit her but did not break skin all the while their owners did nothing. If your dogs arent trained or dont listen to you dont take them to a dog park and ruin it for the rest of us!!
A very nice dog exercise area for the adventurous dog. Theres a lot of wooded area to explore and a small river to play in. If youre slightly worried about your dogs recall ability you may want to keep your dog on a leash as it is not as enclosed as most dog parks.
Awesome place for dogs. Very wooded area blocking the wind. If you dont want to interact with other dogs, there is more than enough space to keep your distance. Many people congregate at the river to socialize. You might want to bring your own chair, there is only 1 picnic table at the river. The river is the eastern border. No fence. Down side..... park gets very muddy in spring and after rains. Usually not that many people present.Directions....be careful of gpsing the address. It will not bring you to the entrance. You have to take a frontage road.Heres the coordinates.....43.1546,-88.05965
It is in great shape. Mud is at a minimum.
My absolute favorite dog park! My pups absolutely LOVE it! Yes, it does get pretty muddy after raining.
Very muddy but I went for the first time in spring. Im waiting until my dog is closer to needing another bath so I dont have to wash a muddy dog again. I didnt get to explore much because some of the trails were flooded.
Great place for bigger energetic dogs. Small dogs should go to curry park.
Excellent off leash dog park. Some wood ticks found.
Great dog park it is a forest with trails. You really need to be able to trust your dog.
Great place for lots of woofie RUNNNNINNNGGG!
Nice very buggy nothing they can do about it. Bring the off!
Granville Dog Park was amazing. Lots of room to roam and a river for the water loving dogs.
Wonderful park my pup loves it .
One of the best dog parks in the area, my dog loves the varied terrain and the stream!
Water water every were dogs love this place
Great place to take your dog!
Tons of places to go, lots of areas for doggies to explore, resting places everywhere for humans, rlver for the dog swimmers and those that just wade in, take a drink. Alot of fun for man & beast!!
Great wide open large park.
Great trails
Really nice big dog park
Temporarily closed
Ive been coming here for more than 10 Years weather permitting since I have smaller breed dogs. I havent had any issues except walking on what other walkers left from there dogs .
My dogs love it here!
Beautiful
Muddy, hilly, fun.
More for hiking with your dog than a dog park
Favorite place to go!
Muddy in spots but the dogs love it!
Lots of water and hills.
The trail gets so nasty in any sort of moisture :( I dont come here in the spring
Ghetto as the area my car got broken into and my purse was stolen terrible Killwaukee what a dump! !
Best dog park in Milwaukee.
