Still waiting to hear from a manager or directorRooms are extremely small .We didnt have any house keepingStained and dirty sheets towels and covers (comforter)They gave us two wash cloth and one was stained tinted yellowAsk for more wash cloths they said they didnt have anymore ..Ask for management kept getting the run around as to when they would be there.The only good thing was the restaurant and poolWe had to sleep without covers and use the blanket we had for our fightI have pics but waiting to speak with a manager before I proceed

Ursula was awesome and very helpful with booking my group. They were very nice and accommodating and the hotel was super cute and modern. However the elevators were a bit of an annoyance, one was not working half the time that we were there.

Negative: When we first arrived and got to our rooms we noticed that there was blood on the bed and the shower was dirty. We then went to go ask for a clean room or to speak to a manager, and the front desk receptionist was extremely rude when there was no need to.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I came on a vacation with my husband and was shocked for what we got versus what we paid for. Let me start off by saying that the rooms are incredibly in dire need of renovation. Their rooms arent cleaned well, everything is dated, the pool was dirty and a hole in the wall and most importantly, their customer service is complete garbage. I paid upfront for the hotel fees and they ended up charging my card (without telling me... they said everything was already paid for) $75 DOLLARS because they claimed there was some makeup on the towel. This was NOT the case, and we left that room immaculately clean. I tried to contact them a few times for good faith asking them to reverse this and the hotel manager just ignored me. This was supposed to be our honeymoon vacation and instead it ended up being a disaster. I would have preferred to stay in a 1 star motel with better service than this garbage hotel. The LOCATION is really far too from everything and the neighbourhood is not safe.

The lobby was beautiful. Fun, funky vibe. Our room was clean for the most part. Flooring was pulling up in some spots. Hair left in tub. The pool area was unpleasant. Dirty water and the building/entire outside area was shabby. Garbage trucks bang in the alley next to hotel. Not very relaxing. Our first night, I went to the bar. Was ignored. The bar was covered in boxes, towels. Unclear where or if you could sit at the bar. Incredibly awkward. I asked for the free signature drink--was eventually given a gin and tonic in a plastic cup. We tried to have dinner our first night by the pool. After we sat, it took 30 minutes for someone to wait on us. No service. We ended up leaving and going for dinner somewhere else. Staff was dismissive. Some front desk staff more pleasant than others. Room service never came when we placed an order. After an hour called downstairs..was told it was on the way up. I cancelled the order. Was charged extra to use beach chairs and umbrellas. Would have been nice to not be nickle and dimed for this service. Beach is a close walk. The last morning, upon check out the man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

All over stay was excellent thank you Wendall for going above and beyond making my Birthday extra special.. Room details booked ocean view not so much of the ocean you can view I would not book ocean view if you are really looking for total ocean view, room size was perfect for 1 bathroom shower was very hard to turn on and off you have to get totally in to even turn it on, the shower head is large but you have to stand all the way to the front of the shower to stand under it,pool area is nice small your window of time for sun is 11am til 230ish then its blocked by buildings.Staff is awesome very polite,Luigi is awesome. pricing seemed to be average for the area it is located more north of the center (ocean drive) I walked most days to Lincoln mall Rd which took about 25 min. I would diffidently return

It was super cute and the perfect ambience for a hip romantic getaway. It’s very clean and the cleaning staff is efficient. The rooms are gaining in age and do show so age but still over all clean. Beware...walls are thin ;) What really bogs the score is the service, skills and supplies in the bar and kitchen severe lack in all of the above. This place has a lot of potential and even with the bar and kitchen service we’d definitely come back.

If I can give this 0 stars I certainly would. Most horrible experience ever. I never write reviews for anything but my experience Definitely compelled me to Write this review. To begin with upon checking into the hotel I witness a bunch of customers waiting to be checked in. After sometime I learned some of them already paid for their reservations but they we’re being told that no rooms we’re available. To my surprise when I went to check in I had no trouble checking in. I walked around a bit before entering my room and notice nothing about the pool area reflected the pictures that’s posted online. I immediately felt like this was some sorta hotel catfish. I got into the elevator which Smelt like pee. As I hop off the elevator the hallway smelt exactly the same way. I got to my room and once again didn’t look anything like the pictures the bathroom was still dirty and the room smelt terrible. I put my stuff down and ordered room service and to my surprise no one answers I called twice and finally someone picked up I ordered my food and it got to me quickly but I was not given any utensils and I ordered a bottle of water that I had to inform the lady I didn’t receive. Later that night after leaving the hotel and coming back I took the elevator and it happen to get stuck on me. I was literally trapped in the elevator for close to 30mins before fire rescue came and had to let me out. I was so upset the young man at the front desk didn’t even know I was trapped in there until my sister came in the lobby to notify him. I was so turned off by this experience I didn’t even bother spending the night I took everything and left. I try to get a refund because my whole experience was bogus but no one could assist me on that. Overall please do not book this hotel you will be truly disappointed.

The hotel smells really horrible like a bum lives there, and the elevator horrible Smells Like someone Urinated in it, I really didn’t want to even touch anything At this hotel. They Don’t have a routine or recipe for the food I don’t think at least because our salmon was different about four to five different ways!! they were even forgetting to put main ingredients...how? Not only that though the staff Continuously argued with me because I didn’t want the food and told me he had never had anybody in the two years that they were open say they didn’t like the food or they didn’t want it which I thought was very unprofessional because you cannot tell someone what they think taste well or not I really just want my money back because the way that everything was made it was backwards and forgotten clearly. I went into the palms next door the whole hotel smelled amazing it was like a breath of fresh air They even have complementary water Wich I could not find in this hotel whether it was morning evening or night there was none. I think I’ll spend the extra money for a different hotel next time.

Check-in was great, Wendell was extremely friendly and helpful. This was our second stay and it was great to see we received the same excellent customer service a couple months later. Room was perfect, very quiet, and we love the location across from the beach. We’ll definitely stay again!

This place is a rip off. Made my reservation and when I got there I was told no vacancy. Front desk was rude no manger to speak with about my refund. I had to call the cops as I had my son who is a minor with me and drove 5 hours to get there. Regardless of third party purchase the William was rude. William refuse to get a manager and advise myself and other guest he did not have house keeping staffs to clean rooms that were vacant.....

The hotel is very cute, and close to the beach. They have chairs and umbrellas you can borrow at no extra cost. Our room was very hot (set to 75 the whole time) with no ability to adjust. We talked to the front desk, they sent someone up who fiddled with it, and nothing changed. We called again, and they sent up a fan (which helped get through the night with a little more comfort) and asked us to talk to them again in the morning to get a new room. We spoke with the front desk the following morning, and they said they were going to have someone try to fix it again. It didnt work, and when we spoke with them again, they said you should have told us in the morning when we had other rooms available... which we had done, but they sent someone to try and fix it instead. It got up to 78 degrees in our room several times. When we checked out, they said their was no record of our concerns regarding the lack of AC. So they refunded us $44 for the resort fee. Not acceptable in my opion. It was a very uncomfortable stay, being so hot all night.Will not stay here again.

DO NOT USE THE VALET!!!! It is a beautiful hotel, as an artist i appreciated the decor. Room was clean.and we were happy with it.We parked our car with the Valet overnight and then the following month received a parking ticket from the city of Miami. The ticket was time stamped from a time that was in possession by valet. I called the hotel as this should be their responsibility to pay ticket, which they said they would after several phone calls. Here we are a year later and now getting collections notice on the parking ticket. The hotel/valet service NEVER PAID it!!

I liked the location of this property and the cleaness of the room itself. But it was a very sketchy hotel. Walls were paper thin and very noisy neighbors. There was a huge gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. Didn’t feel very safe. The shower didn’t work 90% of the time.

On June 23rd me and my fiancé stayed at this place and later realized that she left her engagement ring. When we got off of our flight we called and spoke to a man on a recorded line and he explained that he had the ring it will give to to management to mail to us. When we called back an hour later on a recorded line the supervisor kept hanging up the phone on us. We had multiple people from all types of numbers call and speak to the hotel and they hung up. They all refused to give me there names, one lady even said that she couldn’t connect me to a superior or even give me her contact information. This is so unfortunate and very sad. We are newly weds and just spent a ton of money for our wedding. We just want the ring back that they initially stated that they had.

My floor in the room felt like it had sand all over the floor. Bird poop on the outside of window. No face towels in bathroom and towels were dirty. No tissue was in bathroom called downstairs and they told me they didnt have any and he didnt have the key to get any .

The hotel was great! Rooms were clean and fully equipped. They offered a free drink everyday at happy hour and the food in restaurant was great BUT it’s the staff that made our stay the best one yet!! Between the concierge and front desk and hotel manager I has no disappointments. The manager Nury and the front desk staff pulled all strings and went above and beyond and helped us pull off a last minute engagement!! We had several rooms booked at the hotel and between all of us we would all go back and stay again! Zero hesitation .

Nury and her wonderful team couldnt be more helpful. From start to finish the team were helpful..smiley and professional.Nothing was too much trouble for them, the facilities are well maintained and the cocktails are fabulous. You have access to the south beach right across the road and Nury support supplies free chairs and towels to use.. a really helpful gesture. All in all we had a great time there and wouldnt hesitate to return

The road construction made arriving and leaving the hotel extremely hard. Waiting for an Uber was a long wait and the traffic was terrible. The hallways smelled “funny” and the room decor was a cheap attempt at chic.We found another place to stay and left.That was an expensive decision but it saved our vacation.

The location was wonderful we didnt have to drive our car for 2 days, the Beach was across the street and down the street theirs a restaurant in the Hotel no need to leave. We could walk to the stores and just to site see. Only thing is that the valet left our car out on the street and it received a ticket so we had to pay double what it was because we didnt know we received a ticket until the rental car company charge us and Miami charged us as well. We tried to get in touch with someone for a week after we got back home but no luck. I even went as far as to fax the hotel still no answer. I really hate that it happen because the place and was awesome... I guess Ill take my chances at a meteor. Because we well go back its a great location. The front desk people where GREAT!!!

As I entered the hotel day one, I was confused/annoyed to see that it was not all that was depicted in photos online. The amenities were below standards, for instance there should not be a resort fee with a hotel missing resort qualities. We ordered room service the first night, and after calling for a half hour we finally reached the lady in charge and she said we had to come down to pick it up when it was ready. She was outside smoking the whole time. When you say online that there are beach chairs, people assume that means chairs on a beach (resort qualities), not fold up chairs that you have to carry around... same goes with the towels. The breakfast was below standards, and constantly in need of restock. So we gave up on eating at the hotel all together. The maids were rude and demanded to clean so they could go home promptly at 5, and there were stains all over the curtains, sheets, and appliances in the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that I cared about having a nice stay in Miami. I am pretty disappointed all together.(Also the elevator kept breaking down, and it said due for inspection 2 years ago...)

This hotel was NOT what was advertised at all. This is definitely not a resort in any sort of way, and should not have a four star rating. They offer no type of resort amenities, and the service from the staff was really bad. The pool was rarely in use, maybe because it is basically ROAD side and not well furnished. The room was decent, but had a dirty feel (like the rest of the hotel). The food was BELOW par, and I stopped eating at the hotel even though I paid for the breakfast inclusion. The pictures online really glorify the hotel, but upon arrival I was shocked. I am extremely disappointed and even looked into moving hotels. I would not stay here again, or recommend it to anyone, even if it is close to the beach. I will be more careful next time with how I look into hotels/where I stay.

The restaurante at the Hotel is horrible, they have only one person working all the time, she need to take order from the table, serve the Custumers and prepare drinks to everyone. The photos online do not give an accurate depiction of this hotel. The lobby area is the best part, very funky vibe and clean feeling. Past that it was disappointing. Our first night, after checking in and waiting forever for an elevator, we got to our room. It appeared to be clean. Nice view from the window. Upon second look, parts of the floor were coming up and there was hairs left in the bathroom. We decided to grab our free signature drink from the on-site bar and check out the restaurant for dinner. Upon getting to the bar it was unclear if you could sit there or not. There were towels, boxes, etc on the counter where the chairs were set up. I waited for the bartender, it was awkward to say the least. I finally got my signature drink, a gin/tonic in a tiny plastic cup that was given to me rather dismissively. We sat and had our drinks then walked to the restaurant and grabbed a seat outside. We were given menus then sat for 30 minutes before anyone came back to take an order. We watched as other tables were waiting on, brought drinks and food. After 45 minutes we left and had dinner elsewhere. Was surprised that the beach chairs and towels werent available at the beach. Instead we had to carry them ourselves. They also charge an extra free for the beach towels/chairs. Beach is close. That was a bonus. The next day, after spending the morning at the beach, we opted to hang by the pool. It was not a good experience. Garbage trucks kept banging in the ally/road next to the pool. The water was dirty and the outside of the building was shabby. Crowded, not comfortable and overall disappointed. After a night out we returned and tried to call room service. We called at least five times before anyone answered. When I placed my order, the woman sounded confused. I ordered two pieces of pie. I had to repeat my order three times. An hour went by. No pie. I called downstairs and they said it was on its way up. I cancelled the order. Overall just really not what I expected. This was my first time to Miami, if I go back, I will definitely try someplace else.

Red was fantastic! Its quirky and fun decor supports a chill vibe. The room was clean and bright, of course decorated in red and white. The staff was helpful and offered wonderful recommendations. We recieved passes to Mangos, a restaurant/club with fantastic food & live dancers. Their signature cocktails were delish!

The hotel is cute visually speaking and that goes the same with the rooms. Customer service is also pretty good and everyone is really friendly. The pool area is not the greatest and its small.. but they have one. There air conditioning in the rooms is terrible and the cleaning services needs to be stepped up a notch or two. Its decent for the price point but it needs an upgrade

The service I received from the staff here specifically Antoinette from Venezuela was horrible. I asked before I left my room for the day that my room be swept and fresh towels be taken and dirty towels taken. I was advised that everything would be taken care of upon my return. On return that evening towels were dropped off but nothing else. When I went to the front desk to speak with Antoinette about this she humiliated me with a non-helpful attitude. She states that there is no housekeeper in the building after 5pm which is honestly ridiculous and I later found out was not true. It wasn’t until Winslow the other front desk person offered to help sweep the floors and replace our towels/linens. The issue with the floor is that there was sand everywhere and my roommates and I could have slipped and fallen at any given time. Antoinette did not care. So I am making a formal complaint against her for lack of hospitality when it would have been most appreciated. My family has been coming here for almost 10 years. Will not return.

The location of this hotel is great! Theyve added some truly unique decorator touches throughout. The hotel exudes a chic funky vibe that is evident the minute you walk through the door. Unfortunately staying in a hotel is more than just paint and wallpaper. Its an experience. And there were too many things for me that just didnt live up to my ideal stay.The room I had was very small. The view from the bedroom area was of a rooftop and into another tower so you really couldnt open the curtains. They provided a coffee maker (which is nice) but finding somewhere to plug it in was nearly impossible (they store it in the closet). I made coffee on the floor at the foot of the bed. Which incidentally is where I ironed my shirt as it was the only unused outlet I found in the room. The bathroom was also very small. This room would accommodate a single person, barely. Beware if you are a couple.Purely by accident I noticed there were small bugs (I pray were ants) crawling on the lower bed frame. The toilet randomly squeeled (loudly) every night. Fortunately I brought ear plugs (definitely a must). When people walked down the hallway you could hear their voices loudly through the door, which was made more upsetting by the fact you couldnt lock the door with the privacy deadbolt. The bed was also a tad firm but wouldnt have been mentioned if not for the other issues. The shower was decent other than having to open the window (in the shower at waist level) to let the steam out as there was no fan. Remember the rooms across from mine I mentioned? They could see into your shower if you opened it.All things considered an interesting and unique hotel but Id not stay there again as I dont think whats wrong can really be addressed.

Great stay in very comfortable room. Location of the room was a bit awkward (entrance via fire escape stairwell), but the size and comfort made up for it. Great bed and linens. Only issue was weak shower pressure and very slow draining sink.

The hotels location was absolutely fantastic. It was directly across from the beach and within walking distance of coffee, restaurants and the Big bus tour stop. The rooms were okay, they were good quality for the price, we paid around $90 a night because we called and directly booked with them and they were able to match the groupon rate, however even though we booked directly we did not receive the breakfast ( didnt look appetizing anyways) but we did receive a $6 bottle of champagne as included in the Groupon. We were given a king room directly off of the pool which was very loud ( music on full volume until after 11pm, noise from the kitchen, guest loudly eating breakfast) The room was large and overall clean however the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. This hotel overall was fine for the price, you get what you pay for however there shouldnt be a additional $14 dollar resort fee because there is nothing Resort Like about this hotel.

Subpar to say the least. The room was dilapidated with cracks in the bathroom wall and stains all over the room. The room was small. The cleaning staff dont clean until after 2pm. The free beach chairs dont even have an umbrella, when we asked for the ones with the umbrella the staff joked saying thats too fancy and yet they put the logo on them. The location is close to the beach but be warned there are no good eating spots around here and i frequently go to MIA. For good food you have to walk 2 miles or take the crowed and disgusting trolley to south beach. Breakfast was so bad... the free drink was disgusting so much so that the bartender joked that the water taste better. Believe the other reviews and do yourself a favor and dont book there.

Great place to stay.. Very friendly staff, good location down in south beach, only about 5 min away from Ocean Drive board walk.. Nice pool and bar area inside... Would stay here again

We stayed there for 3 days, we change 2 rooms as AC wasnt working. After switching AC didnt work either, we ask for service and they never attended our problem. Rooms are very small and not worth the money it asks for . No Parking as well, end up paying more than 100 bucks for parking. We would have got a very good hotel for the money we spent here

Horrendous customer service. Very unprofessional and rude. If you call to cancel a reservation they will charge you and argue it even when you have proof of the phone call going completely against what their policy says. Oh, good luck canceling online too..that does not work. I tried canceling my trip a few days after booking (months before the reservation) so it was not like this was in a bad time frame. Overall most disappointed at the lack of professionalism of multiple representatives.

This was the absolute PERFECT hotel I could ever imagine. WENDYL at the front desk was amazing/caring/and hysterical! Perfect way to start my trip! He gave us an amazing room by the pool! Perfect price and right near the beach! Pool is clean and beautiful! Food and drinks beat my expectations. Oksana at the bar was amazing as well. 10/10 review. Best purchase on Groupon by far! I will absolutely be back!

The manager lunva, and Marda the bartender, the Bell hops even where very helpful. If I had any issues they immediately addressed it. Marda explained to me the trolley system so I wasn’t just trapped on one side of the beach. I must say for a 7 day vaca alone they made me feel like family. Will be back

As others said recently this hotel is really bad. Pictures are old and dont give you full picture of the place. Rooms are small and every piece of furniture is damaged or beaten up. Beds are uncomfortable and noisy on tiniest movement. AC is very loud and cant be turned off. Bathrooms are small and dirty ( had plenty of mold in sink). The front desk service - if you lucky you will have nice staff but mostly they are useless. Valeting - firstly, Ive been told the dont have any spaces left ( cos I have not driven in flashy car), after check in I have to drive to other hotels parking 2 blocks away and park there for $35 a night! And they walk there to collect the car as apparently its not their parking. Nothing is done straight when you ask - always they will tell you to wait ( for drinks, check out, leaving the bags). I think the 3 stars needs to re-evaluated as this hotel is way below standard. Only food thing about it is location. Avoid!!

I stayed here for 3 nights and i had a bad experience the hotel did not smell good at all very dirty you can tell it wasn’t cleaned good or even at all . A very old layout and our room had to be switched 3 times because the air stopped working . On the internet it says the pool is open all night but when you get there they tell you to get out at 7:30 and are very rude

Let me first give credit to the hotels front desk staff who was excellent and polite and tried to the best of there abilities to make up for the poor hotel and management. Otherwise, the hotel is definitely not what is advertised. I first called before placing a groupon booking to inquire if the televisions had closed captioning which there staff member told that of course there TVs did but regrettably they didnt. My girlfriend only speaks spanish and we were hoping to watch a movie. We then spent the first few hours there with there handyman trying to work the television which he obviously wasnt trained to do. The problem was is that all of the hotels features are ancient and sub par. To top it off the thermostats in the rooms are not functioning so the room was at an uncomfortable 75 degrees. When I called to speak to the manager to see if they would be willing to stand behind thete establishments mistakes, the manager Nury began arguing with me over the phone and immediately got defensive before even letting me speak. She then informed me that having subtitles in Spanish here in Miami is not there focus. I have never heard of anything so absurd, especially if you consider that some of your guests are hearing impaired. So if you are a tourist, foreigner, traveler, or hearing impaired, business or entertainment user needing WiFi, or simply want your room in Miami under 75 degrees; then believe me The Red South Beach hotel is not the place for you.
