Great part of town. Always have fun activities going like small town America feel. There are fun shops and restaurants and CSX train runs pretty frequently through town. Great for little train fans in your family.they also have the court house on the square and business licenses division. So truly the heart of Marietta

It was nice to walk around the square despite the pandemic. Social distancing was in place, masks were an option. Boba Tea servers wore masks and had on gloves. Graduation and family pics were being taken so the family/community vibe was good.

Interesting stores and great restaurants all around the square. Fun candy store has every candy and soda imaginable. An antique store has many items from the past. People are friendly. Lots of dogs( on leashes) to pet. There is a pet store for them. There are two theaters. Nice plays offered. The Square is clean and inviting. Seems like always something to do....last weekend was the street fair. I really enjoyed the booths of artisans. There was live music playing for hours. It was fun looking at the antique cars and trying to guess which car would win the grand prize. Dont miss the art show where artists from all over the country place their unbelievably detailed art on the street pavement. Here are a few pictures from last years. Incredible!

I went when they had Art In The Park. It was a decent crowd that came, but not so much that it made it enjoyable. Festivals they have there are always usually good. They also do a chalk art festival there and its interesting to see the professionals are their work. Theres also another section where you can join in on the action to.When their not having festivals the place itself is a cool, vantage little town where you can go on a horse and buggy ride on the weekends. The shoes are pretty neat as well.

The Square is a family oriented spot to hang out, especially on the weekends. They have local market sellers to come out and display their goods for sale.
