As of today, 9/28/16, the playground is closed for renovations. It was a nice playground for younger ones with a rock climbing wall. Im anxious to see what they do to it! This park is very quiet. We saw a couple of joggers but the ball fields and tennis courts were empty.

Nice, clean, safe, quiet. I just went to check out if there was a track to walk or signs for a trail but didnt see any. I just sat on the wooden bench and read a book for a bit.

Nice park. Multiple: large fields for team sports, heavily wooded trails, pavilions & 2 tennis courts. Theres only 1 jungle gym for the kiddies and theres an unusual overall shape to it so not the best of the best, but a nice park.

The hiking trails through the trees are well maintained if understandably short. Plenty of parking. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean, kudos to the team who maintains them. I havent used the athletic fields, but theyre well maintained with green grass and are actively used. The small playground is well equipped and maintained. No trash lying around. Very nice park. Beware that, despite signs and laws, many dog owners wont clean up after them here, and theyre often running around without leashes.

The park space isnt really that big. They do have a tennis court and a lil book library to get free books.

I know this place as bells ferry park but they changed the name at some point over the last 2.5 years. I love this place and grew up playing softball for various leagues at the park. The playground went through a much needed upgrade since I was a kid. They updated the playground equipment and miss it up to where the tennis courts are making it more user friendly- granted this update happened ages ago. I just felt like mentioning it after hanging out at the park yesterday and playing in the now open field where the original playground had been. Anyway... Great place. Go play!

More of a baseball park than playground. It keeps my son entertained for a couple hours though. The walking trail is nice but they need to replace the obstacles alongside it.

Well maintained park that has fields for softball/baseball, courts for tennis, a decent playground and walking trails. The park is clean and patrolled regularly by Cobb Police. The fields are groomed almost daily and the general areas are clean. It is a very nice park.

So nice and expansive. Theres very nice playgrounds, tennis courts, baseball fields, bathrooms and plenty of walking and trails for you and your dog or a friend you can tell everythings reasonably new to. Named after a local man killed in in the global war on terror. He was one of our own from Marietta. The park is a lovey reminder of his life and his sacrifice and you feel grateful to have a lovely place like this because of his and others service to our country. There is a statue with a plaque with more details of exactly who he was and what he did. But whats important Ive already stated he was one of us and lost in this war. Thank you Skip Wells. A local hero.

Definitely a park for 5 and up. Nice park, bit its not for 2 or 1 year olds... They can slide a do a few things but its designed for older kids. Bring some off its near a wooded area. Enjoy!

The two front tennis courts are in shape and lights are easy to operate, but are usually occupied since the two back courts are in poor shape. On the back courts, the nets and surface are OK but the courts are in serious need of a power washing since the overhanging pine trees have covered the far side of the courts with a layer of sap and detritus that is slippery and sticky. When I visited on 1/10/18, large fallen limbs and debris from the snow storm were still covering the back side of those courts.
