Well maintained inner city park in Manchesters beautiful north end. Numerous park benches and shade trees to enjoy a relaxing stroll. There is also a gorgeous gazebo for taking photos in. Check out Friends of Stark Park website for ongoing events, including an assortment of bands as part of their wonderful summer concert series! Also, on the westbend of the park is the final resting place of Major General John Stark - the parks namesake.

What a great place for your company outing or event. Stark Park has a bandstand with power where the city host concerts all summer on Sunday afternoons and where individuals and companies can host their own events at other times. There are weddings in the park, picnics, photo shoots, and events of all sorts, all while guests spread out on the lawns that surround the bandstand.

This time around we actually visited cuz we needed to use the bathroom and they had ported toilets.but we have been there several times in the past its a its a nice place to go they actually have camping facilities there along with RV you do have to pay to basically drain out your you know toilet tank out of your RV but I think thats pretty reasonable to have some campsites they also have nice picnic facilities which is what weve gone there for mostly in the past cuz they they do a good job of keeping the picnic tables clean theres nothing more fun than sitting on a big Gob of pine sap or something like that but they keep their tables nice and clean.

This park very well maintained, not a childrens park as in ...a playground, there is a huge gazedo stage area, you can go on line to see whose playning there. Bring your own chairs!Beautiful sprawling area to let the kids run and have a picnic.I was blown away at the size of the Statue of General Stark, absolutely stunning.

I love the state park! Its such a nice place to go with friends or just alone! It really shows off the beauty of New Hampshire! I come here to take pictures, relax, and just get away from the stress of life. Ive been here so many times yet I still notice new paths and new things every time I go! Its not hard to get lost but there are usually maps before each entrance which is very helpful. Keep an eye out for those!

When you think of going to a park, a quiet place with trees, benches, grassy (extremely well maintained, post card picture perfect) areas with a grand statue, away from the road noise, and a beautiful gazebo. I was not able to look over the rest, it seemed like it was large park from the looks, I am anxietious to return and venture further into this wonderful place that seems to get you away from the city place/place.

This park is beautiful. I love that the community regularly hosts music and performances for the neighborhood to come and enjoy. Its a wonderful setting for photos as the gazebo is beautiful and there are many statues and large trees to take photos in front of. I also love that theres a working water fountain and often a dog bowl next to it with fresh water for 4 legged visitors to the park. A nice place to go to with the family! No playground or swings- or that type of park but a lovely place to visit.

Nice park that I live near. I don’t think I’ve ever set foot in it. They have summer concerts on Sunday if the weather is good. Right across the street from the Bishop’s house which is an impressive structure. Reputedly a gay meeting spot on the north side.

DO NOT GO TO VETERANS PARK. COME HERE. If youre looking for a scenic memorial park thats CLEAN, free from heroin addicts, and homeless people, this is a much better option than the memorial on Elm St. No swings or playground. Just some cool statues, a gazebo, and John Stark Memorial. We walked around with our baby and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Its a great park for a quiet walk as well as just having some down time to sit and relax. There are sometimes events going on at the gazebo like wedding receptions. The park is normally very clean and doesnt get the same amount of foot traffic that the inner city parks do. There is no playground so keep that in mind for the little ones. Its a good place to toss a frisbee around despite most of the park being on a slightly graded slope.
