Cute little museum. Learned a bit about Manassas and its history. It could be a 10-45 minute walk through depending on if you read everything and do all the activities.
A nice place to stop by. Very friendly agents
Very fun with my two toddler boys. There was a craft area next to the bathrooms to make their own pinwheel, lots of Christmas trees decorated by local schoolchildren, which made the museum smell so festive and lovely. We visited originally to check out the playground which is directly behind the museum and leads to a short trail. The boys enjoyed the train jungle gym and a little metal butterfly we snapped a photo next to.Out front is a huge Christmas tree. We plan to return at night to get a great holiday family photo.
The Staff at Manassas Museum were very informative and kid friendly ! My sons and I had a great time together yesterday!
Went to the Viking event and it was great. .
Very nice short visit.
Nice museum in Manassas. As a resident of Prince William County for 25ish years, I didnt even know about it until a couple years ago. They have some interesting exhibits and a nice little shop. The courtyard area was decorated nicely with artwork from local students.
Unexpected small interactive museum with clean warm (in winter - yeah!) restrooms, helpful information booth staff & free parking right near the downtown restaurants, shops and ice rink
Nice little museum in the heart of Old Town. Staff are very friendly!
Old town Manassas is a nice stop!
Little museum in my town that i never had a chance to visit. I wish I had done it sooner. What i loved to see the most was the people of people who actually still live in the area. Learning the actual beginnings of Jeannie Dean technical school and what it meant in the African American community was even better for me. So glad that I was able to take my child there to see it. It is free which is awesome but it is a Little bit small you will not be there all day but it was definitely something cool to do when you are free and need to get out and stay local.
Very nice museum, though with as much history that Manassas has experienced, I believe there could be more.
Love this place. The little store is perfect for Manassas stuff. Lots of history in there.
It was ok, but there was a lot of canons and I did not feel safe.
Such a great museum! Its laid out in an organized, chronological fashion so its easy to follow. The scavenger hunt for kids is a fun way to get them involved (and they even have a pictorial version for pre-readers). The staff are kind and knowledgeable, and the gift shop has a wide selection of books and fun gifts.
Very nice gift shop and the museum held a lot of History! Very nice.
Good selection of items for a small museum store. Ladies were very friendly.
A small but very informative museum on history in Manassas. Civil war buffs and those interested in African American history will enjoy.
This is a great museum especially for kids. They have age appropriate scavenger hunts which are short, but well done. My kids love to go and learn about our town.
Nicely curated museum and gift shop. Will return when their Jennie Dean statue is in place.
Small but very nice museum. Employees have airways been very friendly and helpful.
Educated staff, highly informative display if you take the time to read everything. I especially liked the focus on military members.
Very informative and free to visit. Had a kids scavenger hunt to involve the whole family.
Learned about apart of history, I didnt even know.....
Excellent, take a tour if possible. So much information.
Staff was very knowledgeable and kind. Free guided tours. Takes about 5 min to walk through if you dont read anything.
This was a very nice little museum. The two ladies working that day were most helpful.
A small but nice museum. Good playground in back. Super friendly staff!
Good place to spend a few hours. Civil war and local history. Has interactive pages to find facts in museum as you go foe kids. If you complete it all they gave granddaughter a keychain from museum store. Brought lunch and ate at shaded picnic table in shade. Has many events throughout year, just a neat place. Free admission, closed mondays
The museum presents the role the city played in US history. It gives life to the souls lost, the lives impacted by the battles fought. While this is not the best of American history, we should not forget.
Small museum but friendly staff. It is going over the quick history of Manassas from 1700s
Nice little museum. Good shop attached.
Quite calm inspiring place.
Small little museum, but the kids had fun doing the little scavenger hunt
Nice place to go on a rainy day!

It was such a great time. Jonathan, the venezuela singer was amazing..
Nice place, small for a museum, but informative.
Very Educational!
Very educational, with a new sounds exhibit of the Times in the past.
This was my first time going to the museum and my initial reaction was, this is small! However they were working on a new exibit and Have many outside activities that are run through the museum. I totally loved their gift shop and their selection of books for purchase. I found one called Southern Food and Civil Rights, Feeding the revolution. My husband saw it and loved it because many of its recipes are of the southern foods that he grew up enjoying.
Great experience each time we visit. This weekend they had a Civil War reenactment with Abraham Lincoln and live cannon fire. The museum is small but good for young children.
Its a small but informative place. Plus they expose art work from the neighboring high school.
Local small museum. Kind I like. Enjoy learning local history of events of the time. Easy to get to, easy parking, friendly staff. Easy to follow around and read the information and look at the exhibits. Quiet, well lighted. Daughter liked the pointed clothes and the guy asking, what clothes item changed after the Civil War. I guessed belt...wrong. Answer will surprise people. I figure an hour to visit.
Nice little musuem. Many things did not work. Wrong information on one of the boards. Good for small kids. Will not take long to see.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our walk through the museum. Theexhibits were beautifully arranged and the clothing display was fascinating. I am so glad we decided to stop as we were exploring Manassas. The museum was very easy to access within Old town Manassas. My husband and I parked in the public parking lot and walked the short distance to it. I would recommend giving yourself at least an hour to see everything the museum has to offer; the building may look small but there is a lot of history in those walls!
I was very excited to learn that Manassas has its own museum and it did not disappoint. I definitely recommend going.
I was surprised at all the things in the store. Interesting place, please give it a look see. My cashier was very friendly and willing to help.
Very special place and warm welcome, Southern hospitality is not a myth! the museum is very well set, interesting all along and not too much: a pleasant learning experience; the gift shop is perfect, just what we were looking for and could not find: I bought 5 items there, souvenirs of that day in Manassas, VA
Becuse its rock n roll
Great place to browse. Staff knows their history. The gallery was great, informative, and historically accurate. Definitely recommend stopping in for a visit.

Great time and well worth the price for the wine and beer Oktoberfest!
Its small, so I wouldnt make a whole days plans around it. It was free though, and it has some interesting displays.
