Clean bathrooms but lots of traffic due to construction

Clean rest stop. No vending machines, just restrooms and welcome center. It does have clean charcoal grills for use with Picnic tables. Nice quite area to walk the doggies.

Just what I want in a pit-stop: CLEAN BATHROOMS, photo OP area for my youngster and a quiet, restful break from the road with some snack machines.

Very clean restrooms, Very plate staff and the guest relations desk there were very nice ladies there who answered a lot of my questions, I love to explore the caves, But not the ones that you have to pay a tour, Oh I do like going to them and M interest in them but i like exploring caves that are usually on private property and you have to get permission also there are caves in national parks that he can explore on your own just never do it alone and always make sure you take somebody with you and let them know you are there, Take plenty of backup flashlights and extra batteries basic survival tools, I suggest you carry a small can of oxygen, With a regulator on it thats 4 in emergency if water should flood the cave, I am an expert that cave diver, And I am an expert trainer at survival as well as basic rescue knowledge, I worked as a volunteer fireman for many years and I also was a scuba diver with the Erie County sheriffs department dive team, I trained with them,

Place needs a desperately uplifting. Lack of illumination at night. Fairly clean

Its a route I take often and tend to stop by if have to. They always seem to be doing something to care for and maintain the property. The staff is always nice and welcoming. Be sure to try the local peanut sample if youre not allergic.

5/5 Would relieve myself here again. In all seriousness, VA does a good job with the rest areas being clean and will lit with just enough snacks and drinks to get you rolling again.

Conveniently located on my way to Front Royal to access the Shenandoah National Forest and I found the attendant there to be very willing to help me and the place itself was lovely.

A bathroom, pleasent desk lady and free peanuts. What more could one ask.

The Welcome Center is nice and pleasant. The restroom facility is decent because Virginia doesnt allow vendors in the rest areas, so its only as good as public facilities go. There are only about 20 car parking spaces with 2 or 3 handicap spaces available. There is also a little sitting area outdoor. Vending machines are available only during opening hours inside Virginia Welcome Center.

The custodial staff were ridiculously rude and the bathrooms were just gross. The actual bathrooms were closed due to “cleaning” and the Don Johns were being cleaned by simply spraying air fresheners in them. Absolutely disgusting, will never be back
