I have had the honor to be invited by the Dunbar Neighborhood Association twice to speak at the Mae Simmons Community Center and everyone there is great!The center is open Monday-Friday from 5pm to 8pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm.Stop by to learn about activities and resources that are available to everyone.

Lubbock has an amazing amount of green space, but very little of it wild (and we lose a bit more of the wild parts with each disc golf course that goes in.) While I also detest Siberian elm, Ill admit to exploiting them for an enjoyable afternoon reading in the hammock.

Nice park and nice views, just have to be careful lots of groundhog holes in certain areas.

This is a very well thought out course. It has every kind of setting you can think of, from heavy wooded areas, to river beds, inclines, and declines.The community they play the course have all been friendly people.Note: make sure you have mosquito spray. A few of the holes have stagnant water, and the mosquitoes are out of hand. Also, it have trouble walking on rough/uneven terrain, be careful, cause there is definitely a degree of difficulty on this course.Overall: its easy accessible by vehicle, there are moments its a little crowded, but not to bad, if it isnt the weekend. I hope everyone has as much fun as, I have.

Cool place to hang out and cruise?

Havent been there in a while but went there for a cross-country meet. The place was really nice enjoyed it

Me n my son n gson went fishin. I caught 3 little croppies...

Good fishing lots of shad and minnows but more small bass than there should be with all the bait the weeds are where the bass hang out and bluegill in the stick piles and by the bridge.

I had amazing time! Great plce to walk, run or ride!

My sonnran cross country here 4 years in a row. Very steep hill to get to the start and finish lines. Holes all over the place. Ground is very uneven for anyone with mobility issues.

I love that I can go fishing right in my back yard!!!!

Great place for walking and cycling, but there are sometimes loose dogs from the nearby neighborhood.

Nice place to bring your family and to fish. Nice water fall that cascades over rocks and leads into the lake. Theres also wild life that you can take pics of. Many birds and wildlife

Great place for walking, jogging, bicycling and cruising. Great for family and a pavilion for parties.

I love the beautiful waterfall. I have great memories coming here when I was a child with my little sister and brother. This is good place to take pictures. It is a great place to have a picnic. The nature is great. Love the ducks too.

Average park, nothing special. In the hood.

Best (likely only) place in Lubbock to mountain bike. The trails smells like poo because of the water treatment facility and current construction has demolished some trails, before the current sewer work it was a 4/5, but some pretty nice sections of trail got taken out.

Not ideal for hiking. Best for bikers. Long unpaved trails circling prairie dogs. Put on bug spray if you plan to visit.

This park was gorgeous. Very scenic for any nature lovers. I went to see my sister run for Cross Country and it took my breath away. Absolutely GREAT for walker, jogger or straight runners to get their exercise on this vast terrain. A must experience for out doorsy people.

This place has been used for reunion for years, has been great.

Great park with tennis courts, baseball fields, there is a track for those who love to exercise, a great view of a river going through the park, a swimming pool and more!

I love the park and always have. But I wish the fishing was better stocked with fish. I believe if the lake down by MLK were fixed up more this would be a great attraction. This could become Lubbock river festival boat races along with fun and games once a year. This could be big for Lubbock if developed right even concerts on the water during this week of festivals

Its a beautiful place with a pond and bridge. A big lawn and trees. Barbecue places and a covered area good for events.

It would be a really nice park of slobs would stop leaving their trash lying about. The waterfall is full of pathetic peoples trash. People have no respect. Let me catch you leaving your trash at one of our parks!

This place is terrible, there is nothing at all here, all the grass is dead, there is 0 hard hiking anywhere, i came to have a nice weekend hike and i got a leisure stroll around a tiny pond!, do not recommend for anyone below 65
