A semi-sizable park with a playground including a jungle gym, slide, swings, and play diggers. Unfortunately only one of the three diggers are in working condition to play on. It is off the main road far enough to feel safe for small children to run around.

Need to clean the old homeless camp. The trash in the creek is bad enough and the unmanaged brush and coattails.

Its in the part of town where I was born and grew up in, so I love the area. Its great too see so many people eating put and others enjoying the game area.

Ive fished here for years in the creek running between canyon lakes, typical of most Lubbock water ways lots of tiny bits of trash from run off and illegal dumping. The park itself is well kept, beware of holidays or major outdoor events, traffic and road ways are not up to par with how crazy the turn out can be. This is partially do to the road back and forth through Mackenzie park, expect total jam up people driving through the grass hopping curbs and plain parking dead in the middle of the street.

Need swing sets at the park for older kids.Better slide so bigger kids can go down. The play park is just one big conglomerateOf the jungle gym. Its not spread out where or older kids like 10 to 12 can really enjoy them-selves.What if they put in a Carosel that would also be great. Wait....one where you didnt have to pay money to ride it. The City of Lubbock would take care of it. I think that would make the park better. Bigger Swing Sets to where the adults can swing also.

Despite its name, its a great little park with a great playground in a multiethnic area. Bathrooms are very basic and prisonish. Water fountain by the bathroom works, the other ones do not at this time.

Cool painting at the park, nice grass volleyball net playground for kids and girls for bbqs. I actually fish there it has trees around the small creek/pond so you dont get sunburned. There are catfish bass and sunfish but I only caught small catfish and sunfish. All in all its a beautiful park. And mackenzi park connects to it.
