Very neatly kept, great for a day out to enjoy the good weather. Masks are required to walk around. There are paths at the end of the gardens that lead to Beargrass Creek and will eventually take you to the Ohio River, highly recommend the roughly 3/4 mile walk. Stroller can be used, although paths aren’t extremely wide. Volunteers at the Gardens were very informative. Plenty of parking. Public restrooms and water fountains are available.
Great for all ages! Good COVID precautions as well.
This place is awesome considering it just opened in October 2019. There was a lovely lady there who shared her knowledge of benefactors, fauna & flora of the gardens and she made it an even nicer outing. I also liked the water feature donated by the water company. I look forward to going back and I hope our city develops more destinations like Louisville Botannical Gardens.
My son and future daughter-in-law are getting married here tomorrow and today was rehearsal day. I was told this this place is finally constructed after almost a year and I must say, this is an excellent Botanical Garden here at the Louisville waterfront. I highly recommend those who love flowers to come visit here, you will not be disappointed. Thus far, we are enjoying our vacation here from mountains of Colorado.
I love this place! The first phase just opened in October 2019. The Beargrass Creek Pathway just opened and future phases will continue to be built out over the years. It’s going to be great to see this garden develop and GROW. So thankful to finally have a botanical garden in Louisville. Looking forward to when the conservatory open someday. The site and the organization that developed this garden have a pretty cool history. This 23-acre garden is built on a landfill. What a great way to reclaim the land! Also, Waterfront Botanical Gardens is a non-profit so consider making a donation to enable the continued growth of the garden!
It’s still in the early stages (trees and plants need to grow in, only partially built) but so far so good. The only negative is that it’s right next to the highway making it a bit noisy. other than that i really like it. I can’t wait to see it completed. It will be something to enjoy for generations to come.
Beautifully laid out butterfly and bee gardens with a gorgeous water sculpture that frames a perfect shot of downtown Louisville. You can follow the path to a shady walk that ends on River Road. Plenty of great photo opportunities.
Very beautiful! Still a work in progress, but so much as been done in the year. Cant wait to watch this place evolve over my lifetime
Its a very nice addition for Louisville! Very nice place to take a walk.
Only the first section was open so far. Serene garden. Enjoyed seeing the plants. Will be something when more opens. One neat statue with sprinkler in it on a timer. Never came on. Adjust so on more often. Like to see everything. Ridiculous mask required walking outside near no one.
Only an outdoor garden. Cool water sculpture but we saw the whole place in 5 minutes. Did I miss something?
Very nice place to see Kentucky native plants. I enjoyed the walk.
Beautiful venue. And it will just get better over time, as they continue to fill the space.
Great place. Looking forward to the subsequent phases being completed.
The newly opened botanical garden right outside of Louisville, Kentucky is a pleasant getaway from the hustle and bustle of downtown. The first phase of this garden includes a vegetable garden and flowers of all different species and varieties. The next phase will feature a walking trail around the property.
Beautiful and very well planned out. Butterflies and catepillars everywhere.
Beautiful gardens. Love the native plants of Kentucky!
Beautiful place. We got engaged there today and I couldnt be happier.
A wonderful addition to the Louisville landscape!
Attended very first Aglimmer tonight. The gardens were decked out in beautiful holiday lights, Santa was there for the children, and the lovely Sacred Heart Madrigal Choir sang for us. Refreshments for all and a crafts table for the children. It was very magical. Highly recommend.
Beautiful grounds...cant wait till Spring for blooming
This is a lovely location. Its not very large so depending on the scale of your event it might not be suitable, but it is exquisite and would serve for smaller gatherings in a fantastic fashion
Beautiful new facility and grounds. Stop in and learn. Plants will be blooming soon.
Its not done yet. Its still has a lot to go.
Incredible gardens
We attended the regeneration fair and had a blast. This is a beautiful location.
Beautiful living garden and supportive staff.
Beautiful clearly marked gardens.
We meet here every week. Nice venue.
Cant wait till it is completed such a beautiful and peaceful space
Its going to be spectacular!
Brand new venue and it has the making of an awesome botanical garden.
Nice
Cant wait until the plants mature a bit!
The place is and the future plans for this site are beautiful
Beautiful!!
How can a place with 4.8 stars not be open? It would be great if the website were clearer about the fact that the facility is still under construction and not open to the public.
Beautiful beginning to something very amazing ♡
Beautiful plants and scenery!
Beautiful! Please visit, its free
