Very pretty, especially in autumn. has plenty of walking/hiking trails, pet accessible.
My wife and I came here because of the notorious Goat-Man stories, and, while we did not find the monster, we did find a beautiful park underneath a magnificent train trestle. I highly recommend listening to a fun podcast on the local legend whilst walking the trails for a memorable experience.
Poorly advertised and set up. Would bot recommend this event
Nice but really crowded on Sunday the trails Thur the words werent too bad
Very clean and well kept grounds. There are miles of paved trails for walking or biking and a few non-paved trails. Great views of Floyds fork.
Great place to bike, walk or run. Great for individuals, couples and families.
Parklands just awesome, fun for everyone. plenty of parking too.
Great fields, walking paths, bike paths, public restrooms.
Part of a beautiful park system. Clean and this part of the trail is pretty flat if thats what youre looking for
Huge walking trail with the lake on one side. Woods on the other. Little street in the middle.
Beautiful place and trails, BUT be sure to park in the busy lots, we had our window broken out in the side lot and items stolen.
Love this park and the ultimate Halloween movie
Love this spot! All kinds of nature access.
Beautiful place to get your exercise!!!
Always a fun time, just got cold
Just need google to update map, took us on a merry go round to get to. Beautiful paths for our dogs, I enjoy the quietness very nice. Will go back when up again.
Love starting bike rides on the Louisville Loop here. Nice, flat 13 mile out-and-back without ever having to cross a road. The park itself is also nice with a stream and trails. There is also a massive open field for multiple soccer practices.
Aside from the name, which is borderline obscene in my opinion, this place was beautiful and on a beautiful day it almost seems dreamy. Let the kids play and enjoy the leisure on some soft, well kept, grass. That name tho...huh uh
Beautiful day. Great bike ride.
Lovely place for running, walking, playing soccer, birds viewing, kayaking and off course getting fresh air to feel relieved from all sorts of worries.
Lots of space to run and play. Walking and bike path is super nice
Good place for bikes
Beautiful place to enjoy Gods creations! Well kept up.
Beautiful park, great trails but unfriendly walkers and rude bikers. We walk every day in Broad Run Park.,4 out of 5 walkers speak and 8 of 10 bikes will let u know they r coming. Actually had to step off pavement to avoid a bike....guess he didnt read the sign that says pedestrians always have the right of way. Either that or he decided that the rules didnt apply to him.
Nice clean park. Been fishing there since before it was ever a park. Lost one star due to fencing off the locals fishing spot. Nothing a quick hop cant solve...
Just nice park
Nice soccer fields with trees around some fields. Its nice to have sidewalks for wheelchairs too on some fields.
I love to run in Pope Lick park. Beautiful creekside setting and probably the flattest segment of the Floyds Fork park system.
Beautiful park. My favorite place in Louisville.
Love the park!!
Gorgeous trails, really well kept. Bathrooms every 3 miles or less. Absolutely beautiful.
As it is part of the parklands parks it is going to be part of the highest maintained. Always clean and trails/paths are free of debris. Large open areas for kids to play different sports.
Lots of trails to ride and bike.
My family loves to walk on the trails and enjoy being out in nature.
Not enough spots for people to fish
Pope Lick is my favorite of the Parklands. The trails are beautiful and serene. Only complaints are the rude bicyclists who dont let you know they are coming and the lack of a traffic light at entrance. It is plum scary trying to leave. I called about 18 months ago about adding a light. Was told that was going to happen. No light as of yet. Guess it will take someone getting killed before Louisville does anything
Just come and see for yourself. You wont be disappointed
Great place to visit and relax. Nice bike route and plenty of greenery to see
I love this park. Big Beech trail is my favorite thing to do. Its about 1.5 miles through the woods and has the perfect balance of inclines and declines. Very peaceful. Fantastic scenery that never gets boring. The main running paths can get crowded with bicyclists but everybody is super respectful of the space. Definitely recommend!
The parklands really are beautiful, the paved bike/running trails are very nice, and you can rent bikes and canoes out here. But beware of the crazy bikers at the soccer fields. They stop for no one!
This park features an awesome area for longboarders I would recommend wearing hot pads and a helmet great course awesome smooth Trail easy to access very beautiful landscape perfect All Seasons would recommend for a long stroll or a great get to know you walk
Fantastic park for everyone! Great place for running, biking, hiking, and soccer. Love this park!
I lost my diamond ring there if you find it let me know
Great Halloween haunt. Have to admit I screamed a few times
Great place.
I ride the Parklands trails for miles at a time and love the way its set up. Its a great place to get out and ride or run trails that are well-marked and go for almost 40 miles. I will be using this system for as long as its available
Love the trails....
Great new park, native grasses and wildflowers galore.
Nice facility. We love to go biking on Parklands trails from there.
Went kayaking at this park twice and always had a fun time.
Really nice park lots of decent trails.I understand the Pope loves it as well
Clean park with lots to do. Family safe.
First visit to this section of The Parklands. Louisville Loop bike trail goes through here. Nice easy paved walking area. Open bathrooms, clean. Also guys going around emptying trash cans. Might get busy when soccer games going on, lots of fields.
Great biking!
The Park Is Well Maintained And Clean As Can Be. A Little Piece Of Paradise Off The Beaten Path !
My FAVORITE park in Louisville. Started dating my fiancé here. Have had countless adventures here. always something new to discover. if you think you know it, get off the path!
Very well maintained.
I love public park in the parklands as the starting point for a 13 Mile bike ride. The strand over to Turkey run is scenic and beautiful.
Great piece to Walk, Hike, and Bike. A lot of great trails and kayaking spots. However, the water isnt deep enough for a canoe.
Beautiful parks and walking trails. You can rent bikes and kayaks here as well.
Great stretch of the Parklands. The single track trail just south of the fields is a really nice 1.6 miles. You can run 7 miles south on a basically flat stretch of the loop.
Cool pope lick monster legend come hunt him down!!! Bring your friends and flashlights kinda creepy at night
Great park. Part of a very large park system. Beautiful. Pope Lick has many things to do. Playing fields, biking, jogging, kayaking.
Nice trails beautiful for hiking or a casual nature stroll
Beautiful day for a walk in the park!
One of our favorite parks in Louisville, great biking and hiking.
Pope Lick is part of a larger group of parks, called the Parklands. There are bathrooms, soccer fields, and walking/running trails accessible via Pope Lick. You can also jump on the Louisville Loop, which is a 100+ mile long trail. 19 miles of that trail runs along Floyds Fork Creek, within the Parklands. The paved trail winds along the creek and through beautiful farms and woods. Its my favorite place to bike in Louisville. Definitely worth a visit.
Good place for walking, biking, hiking etc
Went for the Haunt (Legend of the Pope Lick Goatman). The haunt itself was great. The wait was nuts, as we arrived pretty early and there wasnt much of a line. I think they were letting in groups every 10 minutes or so, which amounted to a long wait for everyone. Walking around the park to get to the Haunt (and back) was almost as creepy as the Haunt itself!
Amazing!!! And the staff is great and really interacting!!
They take care of the park very well.
Absolutely gorgeous well-kept Park
One of my favorite places in the parklands
Beautiful park. Lots of thing to do here.
This is a very nice park. The walking trail passes through, and that allows for a nice path to bike, walk, or roller blade. The scenery is very nice considering it is a park. There is a fair amount of parking as well. The only issue is the hours.
Great place to bring my Grandson
Went here for a Halloween event. Was really creepy
Road needs cleaning and people needs to stay on side walk. Lol otherwise, the place is beautiful naturally and I feel like I have left the city life behind.
Nice park, great open space.
Soccer season!
This park makes Louisville a better place to live. Excellent birding, beautiful scenery and handicap friendly!! My runner friends are all raving about the fact that the main trail is plowed in the winter. Everyone I know is looking forward to the expansion. Thanks for the generous private support. I hope this inspires more civic minded private sponsorship.
Love it. beautiful
The goat man will get you
Beautiful park, with canoeing, biking, hiking.
This is a huge fantastic park with a little something to offer everyone. Water parks, soccer fields, bike riding, everything! Great addition to the area.
Always go for the trails. Beautiful park, a great mix of man made paths/bridges and nature!
Beautiful park with clean, well-kept trails for biking and hiking. Easy parking. Did not try any boating activities to rate the landings and river.
