This is pretty cool looking! Ive never seen a water tower that looks like this, though I did see a replica of this one at the Frazier History Museum. The paint job looks considerably worse for wear and there are figures around the -- parapet?? -- that werent there when I visited. Maybe the whole thing is getting rehabbed. It was set up for a wedding when I stopped by so Im guessing they hold lots of events here.
The museum was closed when I was there but certainly an interesting peace of history built on 1857-1860 used to pump 12 million gallons of water in just 24 hours for the city of Louisville KY I’m pretty sure back in those days in was a very impressive accomplishment to be able to do this.Lots of parking on site the area has a nice park as well just of the interstate.
I love these sculptures, especially with sunshine. Amazing!!!
This is a beautiful part of Louisville, the huge yards in front of the water tower are great for picnics. They occasionally have live shows here and its a super place for them. They also have a museum and tours, which are fun. This is an overall a very nice place to visit.
A nice place to take pictures
Having a fun night with Strategic Wealth at Wine and Wisdom. Meal was delicious! Getting ready for some casino fun.
Went to an outdoor bluegrass festival here a couple of years back. It was fun and very laid back.
Beautiful and a very historic place!
My friend got married on Sat the 3rd. The whole experience was fantastic. As the maid of honor I had a lot on my plate to do and Tonya and Ron made it easy answering questions and checking on everything. They were both very helpful and organized and helped me be the same. The entire process was flawless. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have a party. A big thanks to everyone who helped the day of and the days before as we stopped in many times asking questions and planning.
Ok... interesting facts about the water in Louisville. The tower is very unique for its architecture. Shouldnt be a charge as there isnt much to it except small museum and our tour guide takes you inside the water tower.
Really nice spot. Right on the river. Plenty of parking. They have festivals and events here regularly. The prices are reasonable, always have a good time !
We visited the area many times, but only recently went inside and paid the very low price of $5 for a guided tour. The guides were well versed on the site and enthusiastically conducted the guided tour - best $5 spent in a long time.Highly recommend all locals and visitors take the tour.
Situated on the river, there are beautiful views. The tower itself is old and historic. Many events are held here also, receptions, galas, art shows, etc.
Love this historic spot.
