Had a great time with the family here with lots of hands on science. We loved building the roller coaster, loading the plane, flying the simulator, playong with the water tables, and enjoying the Turtle Odyssey movie. Very reasonable admission rates. Parking is $6 by the river and theres a nice walkway over to the center itself. Staff was very friendly. Facility was very clean and tidy. Only 1 display wasnt working. All others were in top notch place. We spent about 6 hours here!

Kentucky Science Center is an accessible area that is located Downtown and is a walking distance from the Slugger Museum. It is next to a Subway in case you get hungry and it offers a lot of activities for kids where they can learn about science and understand how things work and also it is a place where they can build their imagination and have fun at the same time. Fun activities include water games and wrapping yourself in a giant bubble and a whole lot more. I highly recommend this place!

We love the science center. There is so much to do see and explore that my kiddo is always wiped out by the time we are done. Taking in an IMAX movie at the science center is an experience everyone should have once. There is something for everyone and even if you dont stop in you can still check out the giant mirror outside the door.

It was fun even during this corona stuff. I didnt give 5 stars because we had to skip some exhibits because people were taking such a long time and you have to social distance and were a group of 9. Being a mixed family we were the only black people in the building and had an experience in the gift shop where there were 2 workers in the gift shop when we walked in and after we come in they called 2 more workers and a guard down and all they did was walk around watching us. We are yearly members and were made to feel like we were going to take things or not pay for what our kids touched or not have the money for whatever. The cashier was rude and condescending like she didnt want to deal with us. We are contemplating if its worth coming back currently

The kids had a fun time but I was not impressed. I wish there was more interaction from the employees. The fort building exhibit was cool but the other children that were there were ruthless and would fight for what you had instead of playing along with you. We ended up just having to leave that area. Weve been to multiple science museums and this was on the bottom of the list. I think everyone should at least go once but just know there are better science museums out there. I was so surprised a city like Louisville didnt have a better one.

Good place to go on a rainy day. Fun for the kids but seems like it’s the same things over and over. Some of the exhibits doesn’t seem to have to changed in YEARS. Some parts just seem old and worn out. Still a fun place to go but be prepared for the repetitiveness if you go more than once a year.

We had not visited the science center for many years since all of our children have grown up. We took our granddaughter for a visit and had a great visit. They have many hands on exhibits which allowed her to play and learn all at the same time. She really liked the water exhibit, so much that we visited it two times during our stay. On the day we were there there were several engineers operating different workable displays that covered different engineering areas. The center is easy to locate on Main Street and there was ample parking behind the center. We are looking forward to returning in the near future.

This is a great place for your kids to play and have fun while still learning! The toddler/younger kiddo area has come a long way and we absolutely loved it. However, I’m not sure that kiddos over 6/7 years old would enjoy it as much. We would go back for the toddler area alone and spend all of our time on the first floor. There is a climbing area/jungle gym, vacuum powered scarf tunnels (scarves shoot out of the tubes at different opening depending on which doors are closed/open), an area for kiddos about 3 and under (based on height), some pool noodles hanging that kiddos can run through, ball tracks that can be configured differently (loops, jumps, etc.), a very large and awesome water table, a giant lite brite, a color table with transparent building blocks, a room with colorful shadows and hula hoops to play with your shadow, a huge area with soft, giant, building blocks, a smart car kiddos can pretend to drive, and a “store” of shapes where kiddos can “shop” for different colors, shape, size, and texture shapes. My 3 year old and 18mo old loved it here and we got in for having a membership to another ASTC science center. So if you travel, definitely worth looking into because we live in PA and got it for free with our membership!

We LOVED this place! We have a membership to another ASTC museum so weve been to quite a few kids museums around the country. This is one is now one of our favorites! We were there for 3 hours and only got through half of the exhibits. I have 4 kids aged 5-12 and they all were engaged the entire time. My husband and I had a great time playing, too!I think my favorite part of this place is their tolerance and even encouragement of children being fully creative. Science centers often come with please dont do that but I really felt like my kids were free to explore the way they wanted with minimal restrictions. They also have signs in each room to encourage parents to engage WITH their kids instead of just watching. The signs also have questions you can ask your kids like What could you do to make it go faster?, etc.Wish we lived closer so we could frequent this amazing kids center. We loved it so much though, we may drive the 9 hours someday just to go here!

I checked out the Kentucky Science Center by myself. I was expecting something similar to other science centers, where it was geared towards kids but had a decent amount of things to interest adults. This was not the case at KSC... This place is about 95% for kids & 5% for adults. There was an actual mummy, skeletons, taxidermied bears and other animals. Of course I played with some of the interactive displays for kids, because I am a big kid, but I wouldnt recommend the Kentucky Science Center for Adults, though kids will love this place!

Imma say 5 star. More hands-on and earthy than the Rockford Discovery Center we were members of previously. This Center is messyand staggered, with many twists and turns. Expensive add-ons include 30 minute movies but numerous, free museum activities dominate and are separated by ability levels. Heres a short list of what to expect: Water activities, craft and science and social activities. A museum displaying mummies, forest animals and space exploration. Seating and couches for adults who need a break. Good experience. Glad I bought the family membership. *6 people 77$ Black Friday deal = pays for itself.

We enjoyed this place. Plenty to do for kids and inquisitive adults. We were overan by a field trip group that made it very chaotic due to the lack of supervision. Management should probably establish stricter rules about that scenario; families shouldnt be overwhelmed because a school is poorly managed.
