Great first experience! My girlfriend and I had loads of fun and we can’t wait to be back. Highly recommend for bigger groups!
Was here Saturday from out of town. Had an absolute blast! The room was challenging, but fun. Staff was very friendly. Was sad to see the windows busted out and boarded up with plywood due to the rioting. Would definitely come back again and would definitely recommend!
We had a great experience in the laboratory! Barely made it out, and will definitely return.
A+ fun. 10/10 would do again.
It was pretty rad. we did the hardest room, got mosta the way through. wrinkly brain gang
Good times, will definitely go back!
As an escape game enthusiast, I wish I could give Locked In 0 stars. Ive played 2 rooms at this location, and was wildly underwhelmed by both of them. I played The Laboratory and escaped, and The Museum and did not escape. I will say that I played with someone who has never played escape rooms, and was highly agitated by the lack of professionalism. The clues DO NOT flow well, and a lot of the clues are red herrings. Like I said, I am a big fan of escape rooms, and an even bigger fan of difficult escape rooms. Locked In advertises their rooms as being difficult, but thats mostly because none of the clues make sense or flow well together. Also, the customer service is TERRIBLE. My instructor was unenthusiastic and unhelpful throughout both experiences. The rooms dont have a consistent flow. There was no objective to escape the room. I was told I was not allowed more than 3 clues, and sat on the ground doing nothing for at least 15-30 minutes. A WASTE of my $50 and anybody elses who decide to play here.Lastly, the owners comments to everyone that leaves a 1 star review is completely unprofessional. Instead of spending time trying to defend the company, why not make changes to make the games have more flow, be more fun, and hire a staff that actually wants to be there? For anybody who is wondering if they should go here, take it from a fellow homegirl, NOT WORTH IT. Go to Breakout or Escape: Lou.
Such an amazing experience. This little gem is hidden in downtown and we had no idea that it was here. We had to google things to do an search for a good while and we came across this place. We had a blast and the staff was awesome and super helpful. It can be difficult but we really enjoyed the challenge.
It was crazy fun. I went with my husband, and if you get pick a time and day that isnt busy youll get to do it by yourself. We went on a Thursday at 815 pm and no one was there.I would say that if youre new to it like we were this was a great place to go. The staff was nice. The beginners puzzle was actually challenging. We didnt complete it in time, but loved it. My main advice would be to look everywhere first. And that means above, below and everywhere in between. My only complaint would be that it is dead silent in the whole place. Which makes the atmosphere feel sterile. We were in the museum and just some background music wouldve been nice. Im sure if youre with a big group then you wont notice. Will be back.
Had an amazing time! Will definitely go back. We did the school room, we didnt make it out, but so close, it was a blast!
This was such a fun experience! I did the museum with unfortunately no success but it was still so fun and I would definitely love to try it again. I definitely would recommend getting a group together and giving it a try.
We didnt make it out of the laboratory, but it sure was fun trying!
What a fun activity! As a first-time, I was a little over-confident in our ability to solve the puzzle. The place is completely accessible, which was FABULOUS! I would recommend the easy level for the first time. I was ready to go back the next day!
This place was awesome!!! We did the laboratory, and escaped! Very friendly atmosphere and loved it!! Went there with a group of friends and it was perfect.
What a fun family outing. The teenagers even had a great time. We will do it again.
This was our second experience at Locked In, and most likely our last. We have played dozens of escape rooms across the country, and this location is, by far, our least favorite. For one, the customer service needs great improvement. We actually ended up with the same game master each time on separate occasions and this could have a lot to do with it. He seemed entirely uninterested in being there, both times. When we were in a game and needed to ask for a hint, we had to catch him up to where we were each time before he would could offer us a hint. Most any other escape room we have played, the Game Master knows where you are at all times and can offer advice when needed. This trip, one of the items we needed malfunctioned twice during the game, and we had to wait twice for the item to be fixed. We asked if there was any way we could get some time added back to our game for the wait, to which the Game Master responded bluntly You were late. and shut the door. Granted, due to an event at 4th Street Live traffic was heavier than expected and parking was hard to find so it took us longer to get there than anticipated, but we were only running about 5 minutes behind. I wouldnt expect to be made to feel bad about it at what is supposed to be a fun experience.Second, the games just arent that fun. Weve played other games at Breakout Louisville, and Escape: Lou that flow better, look better, and have more interesting things to discover. Furthermore, the staff at both of those locations is more invested and eager to help you have a good time.Unfortunately, two strikes youre out for Locked In. If youre looking for a Breakout experience in Louisville, look to Breakout or Escape: Lou.
It was such a fun time going here! The only people that were in my group were my sister and myself, and we did THE WAREHOUSE ROOM. Id recommend that you have more than two people in your group or your chances of success are far less likely. The staff was amazingly friendly, the room had fantastic presentation, and it was very challenging with tons of unique locks. I definitely hope to visit this business again and try another room in the future!
Super fun. Apparently we picked the hardest room (not going to tell). We didnt make it out but, had fun trying.
Fun room. Wish there were more door unlocks besides the singular space.
Great time though one of the final puzzles in the room (laboratory) that we did wasnt exactly intuitive think outside the box type deal. It was more along the lines of check EVERY nook and crany of the room . All in all still great fun though.
A lot of fun. Staff was extremely nice and helpful.
Really fun! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Professional props and the facility is really clean. I would highly recommend to visit.
This was soooo fun! Definitely reccomend!
My friends and I had a great experience doing the museum! We will definitely be back to try other rooms.
We do a field trip here every year. They are very accommodating for our group of 100 and great at communicating. My middle schoolers have never had a negative comment about their Locked In experiences.
What a cool place to go! Friends and I needed something fun to do on a rainy day. Decided to try this out because it was close to 4th Street Live and good food! SO GLAD WE CAME! The staff was nice, the facility was new and clean, and the game was so fun! We did the easiest, The Museum, and it was still tough, but we made it out with seconds to spare! Cant wait to try out The Warehouse next! Go visit this place!
The facility itself was really clean and nicely kept. The room I was in was very clean, and the workers were very helpful and able to answer all our questions!
Awesome escape game! We had a blast. There are several different skill level rooms available, so a great time for any age group or event. The place was very clean and organized, staff is friendly and helpful, and games are well thought out and high quality--not like some of the other cheesy or run down escape games out there. Cant wait to try out the other rooms!
What an awesome time! Visiting family from out of town and had an absolute blast playing The Warehouse! It had cool props, thought provoking puzzles and an awesome ending. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back in my hometown of Birmingham. Highly recommend!
One star only because negative isnt an option. Ive done around 50 escape roomsand had a bad experience with Locked In Birmingham. I was still new to escape rooms as it was my 3rd or 4th room. I blamed the bad game on my inexperience. Several years later I played the Classroom at Locked In Louisville. Turns out my level experience had nothing to do with it. This room was so bad I fear new comers may get turned off from the hobby. The company boasts of a low success rate, but, given the clues they had its no wonder people fail. Some of the clues required outside knowledge, which is a no-no for escape rooms. We had several locks left untouched and figured out the final door code, because we still had several locks still locked, we had no clue to try the code on the final door. I have never finished a room with out unlocking / seeing everything. The most fun I had in the room was playing with the Rubiks cube that had nothing to do with the game.
Lots of fun! This place is much better suited to families and companies than some of the others we have done in town. The people were really professional and the place is super clean and well put together. We did a company team building event here. Definitely on our list of things to do again!!!
Great place and reasonable rates.
Lots of fun. Me and my son had a lot of fun for his birthday. Team Ocked boiiiii!! lol
Fun for a firm holiday event, a little too difficult for the majority but a unique team building experience. The biggest turnoff which will prevent me from returning is that they insist you turn over your purses, coats, etc. They place your items in a bin and take them away somewhere. Most of us were not comfortable with this at all. Coats... fine, purses... no way. I would have never agreed had I known this. There is nothing in my purse that would help me to escape but they did allow me to keep my phone. I dont understand that logic. Provide lockers for your customers and allow them to keep the key or warn them on the phone when they make the appointment so that they can leave their valuables safely locked up somewhere else or simply decline as I would have done.
It was fun, enjoyed it with the girl scouts.
Tough but a fun time.
This was awesome!!! I had such a great time with my co-workers and our team building experience I took my family back! Staff was so friendly and helpful, clean, new facilities, and PERFECT location just down from 4th street. Cant recommend enough, you have to go!!
Michael was awesome! The Laboratory was excellent...most challenging Ive done in three cities. Looking forward to doing it again!!
So much fun. And hour just went by in seconds. Not to mention a wonderful way to get those brain muscles an exercise.
We didnt know exactly what to expect going in. This is a new facility and everything was in top working order. The objective is for a group (no more than eight people) to solve a series of puzzles. There are several rooms to choose from; each with a different theme. The puzzles are unique to each room in keeping with the theme of the room (Warehouse, Classroom, Laboratory, etc.). The manager gave us a good briefing before we started our problem/puzzle solving. Participants have one hour to solve all the puzzles and come up with the code to unlock the room door. Claustrophobic? The rooms are large so thats not an issue. Teams are given clues and teams need to work together using individual talents to solve each puzzle. We only got about 60% complete in our hour but we had a LOT of fun together trying to solve the puzzles! Highly recommend this place...and bring your thinking cap with you!
Really fun time. We did one of their Team Building events for work, they even gave us report cards. Cant wait to come back with my kids. I thought it would be like a haunted house or something but not at all, totally cool.
This was so fun!!! Went there with sister and some of her friends when visiting from out of town. The staff was friendly and helpful. Had a great time!
We escaped!! And had so much fun. Im taking more friends on Friday!!
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! We went here for a bachelorette party this weekend and it was so.much.fun!!!! The staff was super helpful and friendly, and the place was really nice, new, and clean. We were staying at the hotel next door so it was so convenient for us, and right next to 4th Street Live for dinner! We played The Laboratory and it was really well thought out, these guys do a great job with the themes of the rooms and the puzzles. It was difficult but so much fun, and because we didnt escape we played The Warehouse too (success on that one!) ...Locked In was so much fun, cant recommend enough!!
Great staff, clean environment. Will definitely go again. The classroom is hard. Good luck.
Sooooo much fun!
Great time! Took a group of my students and they loved it! Easy booking process, staff was great, convenient location. A must try!
$25 per person. We did the wearhouse one. Great puzzles and a helpful staff. It was an excellent time and we had a lot of fun.
Ive done well over my fair share of escape games and locked in consistently creates a wonderful experience for me and my family. They are by far one of the best escape room experiences that I have ever done.
Was having dinner with friends on 4th Street and saw this place so we decided to try it out. Well thought out rooms, really nice gentleman working (he was clutch with the clues) and just overall a great time. If you havent been to Locked In you should try it out!!
Very challenging, but great team building!
We did this with our entire family! We have done a lot of these “escape games” and Locked In stands out as the best. The staff is courteous and helpful, the place is huge, clean, and well put together. And the location is fantastic! Right there at 4th Street Live. Can’t wait to go back and try some of the other rooms.
A fun team building activity.
I believe this is the first 1 star I have ever given, but let me say this clearly, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! So we were visiting Louisville for the nasp Nationals and decided to go out and find something fun to do as a family. So we come across this place, not having a clue what it was we walk in to get some info. We are told briefly that its like a game where you get locked in and have to find clues to get out, sounds fun so we decided to do it. So after paying the $25 a piece we went into this very small maybe 12/12 room with a few things scattered around. The guy locks the door a short video comes on with some general info for safety liability then the timer starts. You get one hour to try to get out, only problem is you actually get no clues, nothing and when you find anything it doesnt ginve you any more of an idea than you had. We wasted over $80 after taxes to get locked in a room for an hour bored to death. Honestly we all agreed that it was the worse thing we ever had done and I felt completely scammed. I would never go here again! Nothing but a complete scam! Youve been warned lol.
Weve done 3 escape rooms around Louisville and this was way below par. We love challenging but their classroom was set up to be basically impossible. The clues were vague and the processes they hinted at were overly complicated, and completely unintuitive. Also, only 1 room. No closet even. And the operator informed us that he had only seen one group finish it and they just punched 4 digit codes over and over until one opened it. No hidden switch or anything, just a keypad with no limit.
Visiting for a work conference, a group of co-workers and I decided to try this. Had a lot of fun and we are going to try to escape another room before we leave. Really nice staff too!
Went here for a company event. Had a fantastic time. Very well done.
The classroom was challenging but so much fun! Definitely will be back!
Though I had fun, the clues werent realistic, so getting out was impossible.
Tons of fun. Cant wait to do another.
What a great experience! The staff is amazing and incredibly helpful! Would highly recommend!
Had a great time with the family! The staff was courteous and the room was a good challenge. A must stop for anybody looking to be challenged!
Pretty neat concept for a business. We had fun
The Classroom had some clues that required some serious logic jumps, but it was fun overall. I liked some of the tech features!
My husband and I loved this! We left wanting to go right back in and do the other rooms! It was a blast, we highly recommend it! Clean & seemed new, very friendly staff!
It was the most amazing place for me and my family staff was friendly and helpful. We played the museum and almost escape five stars my game operator was really fun also.
Although its not cheap, its a great, fun way to spend an hour. Test your sleuth skills with small and/or large groups, and get your photo taken once youve beaten the clock.
Great fun, on a two more difficult rooms. We were able to finish both in the time frame, I would recommend this for others to try!
It was a blast! We booked one room. Then decided to do another.
Perfect for date night! You really get to know someone playing a game at Locked In. So much fun and the friendliest staff ever, cant wait to go back!!!
Had a blast. Went with just my wife and had a ton of fun. Would have been equally fun with a group.
Great place to go for a couples night out. Staff is friendly and facilities were clean!
Cool place, lots of fun! Cant wait to go back!
Had the best time! Is great for family and friends who want to do something together!
Such a fun idea! A great time had by all! We will be back!
Super clean, great friendly staff, and a fun time at a good price
Had a blast! Great group fun!
Fun place to be. Staff treated us great.
Had a blast!
Super fun experience! The crew is very kind
Good family fun
Great for night out with friends or corporate team-building.
The rooms are all interesting and challenging and the staff are cool
Insanely clean atmosphere and super fun family experience!
Great game place
Kinda pricey but good fun
Terrible Experience. They have no one to speak to. Only communication is through email. No cancellations, no refunds, no exceptions.Buyers beware.
It can be very challenging depending on your leve
A great time!
Great games. Recommend the lab.
We had a blast
Super hard. Kind of expensive but worth it if you like challenges.
Great time!
Games were based on some blind luck without any prompting anywhere in the room. Finally received help at the very end without enough time to truly help.
Had a great time with family
Very interesting and fun!!
The most fun I have had in Louisville!
