It is a well-thought-out production and my second year attending with my children. They are young and appreciated every scene which they are familiar. The lights, the music, the beauty of a light show in a cave is astonishing. This year, it was worth seeing, considering last year we waited in the parking lot for at least an hour before entering the cave. This year, thanks to covid, it was a simple drive up and drive slowly event. The price was the only issue without any discounts, though Im sure the lack of discounts is to recover costs due to covid.
Horrible experience. Waiting for 2 hours in the car because of the mess this is. No organization at all. The route was 15 minutes, supposed to be 30???Also, the people in charge are deleting the bad reviews? Haha this is a full scam. Please whoever reads this do not come. I’m currently stuck without possibility to go nowhere. First and last for me and anyone I know.
Nice thing for the kids. I enjoyed it also. A little pricey but we enjoyed it mostly because the toddler loved it so much. It was about 15 minutes long I guess.
It makes for a good treat for the kids. Plenty of bright lights and colors. Enjoyable attraction.
I’m trapped. In a line I cannot get out of. With a 16 month old and and 4 year old. I wanted this to be a fun, family outing to bring out our Christmas spirit. Instead, I am feeling deeply regretful and swearing at myself for putting my family through this. Omg. Let. Me. Out. 1.5 hours and still waiting....
Went there with my family yesterday as of writing this review, its really great for kids and adults but more for kids in my opinion.I thought it was worthy of 4 stars and not 5 because as your driving through the cave that the lights are in you dont really have enough time to really appreciate all the lights and scenery. it would honestly be better if instead you could walk through to take it all in as opposed to driving through in a line of cars and you cant slow down, i mean sure you could argue that the cars already move slow so It doesnt matter but its not slow enough. All in all its great just make sure you pay attention and enjoy each light while you can cause once you pass it thats it, hoped this helped someone.
This was not a cool experience, nor what I paid for. Waiting for 2.5 hours in an extremely disorganized line is absurd. Additionally, the price? $30 to wait in line for that long... just for a 10 minute (that was supposedly 30) stroll along the lights. The wait and disorganization is extremely disappointing. I paid to see lights and the only lights I saw were the lights of the cars around me waiting in line for 2.5 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Waited in line for an hour and 30 minutes! This is so unorganized. I do not recommend this for anyone with small children unless your kids are ok with just sitting for almost 2 hours!!
Wonderful display. Very inclusive. A little expensive for the approximate 30 minute tour, but overall worth it.
Waited for three hours in line on Saturday night to get into this. Was visiting town with my girlfriend who’s from Louisville and she had never been either. We both agreed while this might have been worth an hour’s wait or so, 3 hours was ridiculous for what it was. The coolest part was of course being underground, but I’ve seen better light displays in middle class suburbs. I should also note that there’s no ventilation under here, so near the end of the night you will probably get a headache from all the exhaust fumes, seems like a health hazard for sure. I think it would be cool to check out these caverns during normal times, but for this event save the headaches
Very disappointed after a 2 hour drive. The lights at the indianapolis State Fairgrounds was a million times better and the music was synchronized unlike Louisville.
Totally worth the money!!! Its amazing!!!
Beautiful light displays, and Mega Cavern is just plain cool. We went at 6pm on Saturday and waited about 45 mins. By the time we left the lines were quite long, but the website clearly states that you should expect long waits on the weekend.
I drove 3 hours to come see these lights. We were in line for 2+ hours. When we finally got to go through the lights, it lasted 10 minutes. You can’t stop to look at any of it. It wasn’t worth the drive nor the money. 30 minutes? Yeah, that’s a joke.
