Neat, we were looking for thing to do/see on our way back to Chicago. This came up as The Door To Nowhere

The Heigold House Facade is one of those unusual sites in Louisville. It is at the entrance of Frankfort Avenue from River Road. It just draws people with the its uniqueness. Our visitors to this city love to take out their camera and snap a photo. While I was there today, I noticed for the first time that our new Botanical Garden will be across the street from it.

Loved looking at and walking around the Heigold house facade. The details and stonework are beautiful!!!

Wonderful piece of interesting and unusual Louisville history. Sadly, no easy parking. Hopefully Botanical Gardens will be finished soon.

Take a step through the past into the future

This is a cool little stop in the road. The flowers surrounding it are beautiful as well.

Such a unique hidden gem. A lot of history in 1 wall. I wonder if it will have to be moved due to build up of the neighborhood and traffic. It is literally placed in the center of the road.

It is something else from every angle historians artist writers many different peoples walk through those doors

Its not a sad story just one worth learning from. Considering the melting pot of the USA. Be carefully the home is surrounded by road on all sides.
