Great little neighborhood park a t-ball diamond, basketball and tennis courts. And a soccer field in less than optimal shape; though the nets have recently improved. 1/4 mile track around the edge. Also has swing and picnic tables in the center. Theres a historic cemetery there, as well, where dogs should *not* be penned. Very near St Xavier high school campus.

My first time to this park ever and I have been in town for 23 years. The clubhouse was nice as where the playgrounds and play area next to it. Grounds were a little bit rough including that magnificent George Rogers Clark tree. I appreciate their being a black wrought iron fence around the thing, but no weed eater has found its way down there yet this year and there is metal coming out of the tree, why? Maybe I need to volunteer my time and help?

Went there to have a cook out with my best friends family. They have grills you can use and plenty of picnic tables to sit at. The playground was in good condition and I didnt feel like the children were at risk playing there. Theres also a building thats well lit and full of tables and chairs. Thats where a friend of mine even had a wedding.

A pretty good park for being old and small. Its got open space to lay out blankets, a playground, tennis courts, a clubhouse, a baseball field, and a little water fountain. It also has one drinking fountain that I know of. The park seems to be well patrolled. Ive seen police officers scanning the area plenty of times when Ive gone. Further back theres a little bridge and some pretty hills and vegetation.

One of my favorite parks in the city. Beautiful collection of Cypress trees along the creek, including one good level Cypress of excellent size and shape. Great playground area for big and little ones, as well as basketball, tennis and baseball. Great place to run some trail loops and get some good hills in. Also a beautiful stone building which can be rented that has a kitchen and bathrooms.

I rented the lodge for the family reunion. Everyone was so happy, we all agree up going there. They said a worker would meet me at a time which we agreed on. I arrived early so IU could get a good jump start. I waited and waited.... No one ever showed up. I then thought to check the doors. The place had several garage bags in kitchen. The floor was sticking. Not I expected for the what I paid to rent it. I had to clean the only dust mop there. I was black with faith. I tried to wash it with it with dish soap that I could use it a a mop to clean the floors. The bathrooms were horrible. There was trash everywhere. Luckily, I brought some cleaning items to clean. There was trash all around the outside that I had to clean up. I know this park is very busy with all kinds of family, friends and sporting events. Its sad to see how its getting run down. It has been a safe family place..., Since, George Rogers Clark. His family members are buried there which makes it more valuable. PLEASE dont let this park go bad. I remember there was a man that used to work there. He really cared about everyones safety and kept the park clean.

I love this park because there are enough benches and tables as well as a nice playground for the younger children. They seem to like the zipline thing. The restrooms are ok, but Im not expecting much from a park restroom. The large field and sprinklers is great for sunny days in the summer. Overall, I think its a nice park.

Im so very blessed to have the most greatest memories every since childhood with this beautiful and peaceful park. I celebrated my 14 year sons birthday here for a few plus years. Now for what only sounds like a fairy tail. The love of my life reached out to me and I was blown completely straight to the clouds( cloud nine).... The third time that we had met my love took me to George Rogers Park!!!!! It was the most amazing breath taking heavenly answered prayers from God!!!!!! Scott and I both went to the same grade school... I was mesmerized and over the hills and so crazy in love with him it was awesome. I felt that not even the tallest mountains could not be climbed just so I could peek around and over that mountain just to see him!!! back when we was kids I couldnt find myself to approach him with all the awesome feelings I had for him. Also to let him know how just thinking about him makes my heart rush while making magical sensational blood flow straight to get within my heart and soul.

Poplar Level side of park all natural. No sign of amenities but through the trees, on the back side of the park are a playground and sport fields.Beautiful. Lots of history. After founding Louisville General George Rogers Clark, a hero of the American Revolution, had his family move here from Virginia. His younger brother William Clark, of Lewis and Clark fame, lived here as a young man. They named the place Mullberry Hill. Family graves here as well as Louisvilles oldest tree. Were it not for buildings and trees you could see William Clarks adult farm east, on the other side of Beargrass Creek, about two miles away.Im so glad this patch of land survived apart from nearby Camp Taylor, a WWI army post, mentioned in Fitzgeralds The Great Gatsby.
