Every time I pass through Seneca Park I am amazed at the number of people who are there enjoying the outdoors.Regardless of the weather, there are always runners, dog walkers, soccer players and more. If you want a place to exercise where you do not feel alone, Seneca Park is it.
This was a beautiful forest! I loved the river and it was so gorgeous! I will definitely be coming back here again! And I recommend it to anyone!
A quite nice park in the middle of town. The trails are lovely, and not nearly as crowded as Cherokee even though it is very close.
I live close to several different parks and this is my go-to place with my kids. Theres plenty for them to do, easy accessible bathrooms, water fountain if we forgot our water bottles or they need a refill, and the community is wonderful! Families here often look after their own children and others as well. Every time I take my children we get to know other families and interact the whole time were there.Truly a great place for a family outing.
We spent so many hours here as poor graduate students tossing freezbies, walking, jogging, and picnicking. The place huge and well-appointed. There are bathrooms, baseball fields, soccer pitches, and tennis courts. It is a perfect green spot in the city.
Its a beautiful golf course and they serve egg salad sandwiches on white or wheat with lettuce and tomato
This is a beautiful park that lends itself to basketball; picnics; tennis; soccer; volleyball; walking; jogging......etc! Enjoy!
Nice park. Was there for an event with BARRE3 and TITLE Boxing Club.
Played Seneca, course in very good shape for fall golf
Very nice public golf course. Fairways and greens were good.
Best public course in Jefferson County.
Great place to do some cool down runs after trail running at Cherokee, play some tennis, soccer or if you have small ones, theres a great playground.
Love this park! Has lots of space
Lots of space for sports or events. I personally play softball every once in a while with my school team. But I see people walking, running, playing tennis, football, soccer you name it. The landscaping and upkeep is decent in my opinion not a lot of trash sitting around.
I love this park. They offer so much, from basketball courts, softball fields, wide open fields, golf, walking/running/biking paths. It is a great park to get a workout in or enjoy the day relaxing.
Fall wild flowers are in bloom
I grew up around here and I love this park. There is alot to do here. I particularly like the bicycle trails and hiking trails. But there is a lot more there than I have patience to share now, so grab your kids, your dog, and a picnic basket and enjoy what the park has to offer. And I almost forgot, it was designed by the same man who designed central park in New York City. Frederick Olmsted.
One of my favorite things about Louisville is the extensive park system. I feel like things have been heading in the wrong direction (as they tend to do during time of economic stress), but I hope the town sees the value of this park system and commits to continuing excellence.
Always a great day to play on the park. This park has a great playground for children of all ages. I wish I could afford to move in next door.
Im feeling really really nice and spacious place to visit very nice park been like that for years its kept up very very well
Nice walking loop
Best Park ive been to. It is very lively. Tennis courts are great. Its busy everyday.
One of my favorite places to walk! Nice and flat, plus choice of walking on softer dirt or on paved paths, which matters to me alot (arthritis).
Great big, beautiful park! Easy to get to and lots of parking. Seneca Park is always quite busy, but its big enough to accommodate without feeling too crowded.
One of the cleanest parks in the city of Louisville. Very well run and great walking trails.
Great park. Large open fields to get together and play any type of sport. Baseball fields, volleyball court, tennis courts, basketball courts, large running pathway.
This is truly a sportsmans ideal park, just about anything you could want to do there is space for.
Right in the neighborhood, this park is the perfect loop to run or walk! Personally, I prefer walking
We always have a great time coming to this park and running on the trails. This is an excellent park. Very clean and well kept in a nice neighborhood.
Seneca Park has always been one of my favorite parks for over a decade. It is always so clean and active. Whether youre there for futbol, rugby, croquet, baseball, softball, ultimate frisbee, golf, disc golf, running, jogging, walking, or using the playground, its got somewhere for you!!
Great place to watch games...I enjoyed a rugby match
Huge park! Very well kept and has basketball courts, softball diamonds, playgrounds, golf and tennis courts! Also has bike lanes and pet friendly.
Great park with some of the best tennis courts in Louisville. They have individually fenced in courts as well!
Grew up in this park!!! I love it and most help keep it clean and safe for others.
Tennis courts are very nice. Park is clean and well maintained.
Familily friendly! Great tennis environment, one of the best parks in Louisville for the multisport family.
Lovely park, good to walk around, good for dog spotting. Got some nice trails as well
I love the golf scenery on the way there, 2 basketball courts, at least 3 baseball fields but i see kids of all ages and races fullfilling Martin Luther king Jrs dream..no episodes of fights or shootings very safe environment..Tennis courts and a playground for the kids a safe happy family environment...
Nice park inside of the lovely St. Matthews city/neighborhood. The public restroom in the middle of the park could use some work.
I was at the golf course this visit. It was in very good shape for playing. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Everywhere I have been in this park has been beautiful. I have used the walking trails, soccor field, softball fields, tennis courts and snow hills.
Beautiful & clean ! Cant believe it was the first time I ever visited there honestly
Lovely multi-use park...part of the original olmstead park system in Louisville
Louisville has some wonderful parks and Seneca is one of the bigger ones. Complete with walk path, large open fields, tennis courts and a big area for the kids you can quickly see why this park is always filled with people!
Nice to visit️
One of the best state local park golf courses you can give
One of my favorite places to relax. Been going they since I was a kid
Nice park. Fun kickball league
Great place to walk on flat ground!
Lots of space. Nice place to walk
Beautiful, well kept facility.Families dont have to spend money to make memories with their children.Visit a playground, take a walk, have a picnic.Lots of tables available.Public restrooms too.
Beautiful and very green
Great walking trails, bike trails and kayaking creeks.
Fun loop, took my 14 y/o son for a quick 9. He got the junior discount, which i didnt even ask for. Good rates, friendly people and soft greens. Id come back next time in the area.
Beautiful
Great work out
Seneca Park is always a joy I drive thru at least one time per day.
From a tennis player aspect : I love their courts. They have lights so you can play later in the day. They also are home to many different tennis classes which is nice if youre new to the sport. The track around the tennis courts, soccer, and baseball field is also nice.
Great time!
Probably the best park in Jefferson County. Every type of activity including a great golf course, tennis, softball, basketball, soccer, running and walking, and biking. Massive green space adjacent to Cherokee Park, another massive green space. Walk all day and never see the same mature tree twice.
I Play ultimate frisbee every sunday at 11 here. There are tennis courts, soccer goals as well as a concrete track around the park and People walk their dogs here all the time.
Great park in the heart of St.Matthews. dry safe and family friendly. Always lots of activity
Seneca Park is a great park! There is a playground for the kids along with a lot of green space. There is a running path, tennis courts and baseball field. Great place for the little ones to get out and run around!
Where I play league ultimate frisbee, and where my club team practices.
Great place to walk, sit, relax, rest or people watch.
Very nice and clean park
Great walking, tennis, and sports activity park.
Very large one-of-a-kind Park nice place to take a walk about.
Great place to enjoy the outdoors.
Nice, easy walk. Busy with the golf course traffic, but not bad.
They just repaved the road, and its so wonderful to run on. It can get a bit crowded on the path, but its just really nice to have in the middle of the neighborhood.
Great loop to walk, fields to run around in, and a playground that has ample space even during a busy time. Another plus for parents with kids, Bowman Field is close to, so its a common occurrence to see airplanes fly by.
To me, parks dont get much better. This park is huge, and theres so much to do. I recently was hiking here and stopped at a bench just to take a rest, and before I knew it I was waked up on by a deer, who didnt seem to mind I was there at all! He stood about 25 feet from me at one point grazing, before slowly walking off into the woods. Amazing!
Great on a e in Louisville to get out in nature
Playground is clean and well maintained. Shaded well most of the day. Clean facilities. Ample parking.
Good course but usually slow play
Vanilla as heck but, there are no visible hobos or public masturbators. Restrooms are acceptable. I would give it 5 stars if the mom butts didnt walk 3 across on the track and make me run in the mud. Jerks.
Clean and lots of stuff going on.
Great park with a nice long running/walking loop. Very dog-friendly. Something for everyone, without it ever feeling too crowded.
Very nice park. Good facilities and great location. Its proximity to Cherokee park make them great complements to each other. It is very easy to get from park to park for longer rides or runs. Seneca seems more organized sports oriented facilities while Cherokee seems more hiking, running, and open spaces oriented.Great park overall.
This is a great park. Its got tennis courts, a paved track, fields, playgrounds, everything youd want from a park. Its well lit at night and in a nice part of town. I feel very safe here. Its very nice and the people are fairly friendly too.
If you want to walk, hike, jog, run, bike or play this is the best place
I Love This Place!
So fantastic at Seneca. Clean, well-lit walking path of 1.2 miles kept in great shape. So beautiful. No wonder so many school teams practice and run there. Thanks, Louisville!
One of the nicer public golf courses in the city.
Lovely park
Love the bigger Parks so much to offer!
Best Memories with my friend and families
Love it. Especially the tennis courts
Good paved paths
A lady riding a bike with a small child on her back called me the N word one evening I was walking the trail. I found her behavior quite disgusting. The trail needs to be repaved at this park, and some sort of police presence needs to be there. Too many crazy and disturbed people frequent this park.
I grew up walking around and playing tennis at Seneca Park, there are not enough good things for me to say about this park!
A great place to walk or run.
Very nice.
Best park in Louisville
Hoops and grass....good stuff
Beautiful fall leaves
So beautiful and peaceful
