I love this swimming area because there are plenty of trees to take a break from the sun when you need to. The lake bed isnt very rocky and doesnt kill your bare feet. Plenty of room on the other side of the parking lot to go fishing and catch a decent catfish! All around good place to spend the day alone or with the kids!

Launched the boat from here, had a nice day fishing in a less congested area on High Rock. There are grills and tables as well as a swim area as well.

This is where my wife and I had our first date and our very first kiss. This place is sacred to us both. Buddle Creek is beautiful year round. Even in the dead of winter this place is magical!

Great place to put your boat in. Theres also a swimming area to the left. And great views on High Rock Lake.

Good kayak launch, there is a lot of boat/jetski traffic. Stay close to shore to avoid traffic. Not much in the way of natural areas, mostly developed in this area. The ramp was relatively clean and there are portapotties there. Did not use so I dont know how clean they were. There is a small contained swimming area that was nice to get in the water and cool down after a 6 mile paddle. Good social distancing and a sheriff was trolling the parking area.

Great little swimming area, lots of trees for hammock camping, also there are a few trails to the left of the swimming area. There is also a boat ramp, there seems to be good fishing out there. There is trash all along the trails and no restrooms or showers. There are however 2 port-a-poties.

One of the easiest places to put in a kayak. Great fishing!!

Lol I love this place but there’s some chick high off her rocker that goes there all the time and talks to everyone and sings really loud. Can’t stand her honestly

Would be better if the game warden didnt harrass me for bringing a small 4 wheeler to help take things from my car to the shore and i have a bad back. Its a 125cc and i was not joy riding on it i just used it to transport fishing gear

It seemed clean but we couldnt stay n swin because its rooed off due to covid 19.. but its lake and open water I dont see why it has to be closed when boaters get off their boats and swim .

This is one of the best public access swimming areas on High Rock lake. Very clean and family friendly. Very nice beaches. Would suggest water shoes though. It is a pebble bottom on this lake in places, but most are smooth. Still might be uncomfortable for some people

Secluded and yet perfect to swim away from a highway like pebble beach. Never saw a snake in visiting multiple times. Peaceful

Great place for family time or to hang out with YOUR friends and go fishing, I caught my biggest flat head catfish in that lake, always a great place to have fun.

We use this area to drop in. Usually pretty busy but everyone is usually courteous about speed and efficiency in getting in and out of the way.

Great place for boating

Nice, large swim area with a variety of depths. Bring a float! The water was nice and the beach is pebbly. There are a couple of picnic benches to use. Lots of grass space for towels/blankets. You can bring grills to barbecue. We went on a Saturday afternoon in June, and it wasnt terribly crowded. Way better than the pool! Great day trip for families/couples!

This lake was the dirtiest place Ive been to in a long time. The entrance to the lake is actually very painful and watched many people fall trying to get in. If you go be careful and dont wear anything that you dont want stained!! Everything I wore is now stained a tanish brown color!!

Nice comfortable spot, kinda busy but the worst thing was the rock beach. Sand makes a huuuuge difference. The porta potty were disgusting too. They need to be serviced more often.

Very clean...EVEN the outside outhouse...lol....peaceful...time just flew.....sheriff.made frequent checks....so felt safe...

During slow times and cooler weather its decent, but during busy times and hot weather its crowded and dirty

The boat ramp here is nice, theres a nice long beach for fishing, and a whole finger of the lake is roped off for swimming. But the swimming beach is a little trashy - I dont think that wed ever get into the water here. There wasnt anywhere good to put our paddlecraft, which is why we were there in the first place. We found everything we needed at Flat Swamp access down the road, and it was really nice! Go there. You wont be disappointed.

Great place for kids

Its an unsupervised free swim area, so you can expect it to be crowded and no one to nanny you. There is a lane for laps at the outside. If I were closer Id be there every morning. Not a sandy bottom or beach. If I had to pay for it, it would probably be a 3 or 4 star.

Nice place to take the family boat ramps place to swim they even have life jackets for kids there u can take a grill and cook out have pick neck tables to set its all free they have police officer that come by about every 3 hours to check on everything no alcohol permitted in the swimming area

Love this place swimming fishing and boat launch. Wear flip flops or shoes have to walk across rocks to get to swim area. The water is great but it will stain anything light color reddish because of the red dirt in this area. 8 dont mind pets but I dont think they should allow them because most owners Ive seen dont clean up after their pet goes to the bathroom nothihg messes up a cookout like stepping in dog poop. To keep it clean they should ban all animals unless for medical needs. Sorry to responsibile owners the few bad apples do spoil the lot

Good for swimming. Not crowded. Only thing that I didnt like was Rocky beach. Wear shoes!!

Has one of the best swimming areas around cause the bottom is silky and soft dont hurt your feet walking on rocks good area to take the family cookout sunbathe and chase girls lots of places to fish lots of places to go boat riding good boat access lots of asphalt parking and plenty of shade for picnicking

This place has gone down hill from what it used to be. There is trash everywhere, and the place smells horrible. People need to learn how to be respectful to others and clean up behind themselves!

Love to fish here went tonight and never got a bite till around 1 am and then I was catching them left and right with the baby fish minows

I love it, some of the other places we visit no where near as clean. This is 1 of the cleanest lakes we visit.
