Very nice, quite park. If you walk down to the water, walk to the right about 100 feet and there is a sandy beach good for a small picnic
Nice walk, beautiful scenery and quiet location. Great for a romantic hike.
Great park to launch a boat, but not much else.
The park is great for boat launching
The trail has not been kept up, multiple dead animal carcasses were lying around and no signage to direct you to the trail. They also say theres a boat launch but its not really a boat launch, just a sad half ramp.
Tranquil
This place is amazing for winter camping, that is, if you hate other people. The park is almost always empty. In the summer, however, it offers a small boat ramp into the Patomac river for kayaks and canoes.
This park is a complete joke. There has been no money at all spent on it apparently. Its a former farm field with a narrow strip of woods and a crummy looking boat launch. It was proposed years ago to have a campground and picnic areas and such. As usual for Virginia parks, they wont allocate any money to actually make something worth visiting. Think Im kidding? Take a look at the satellite view. Loudoun County SUCKS for support of public parks.
Good place for a kayak entry point
Kayaking here is awesome! I absolutely love this place!!
It was very disappointing to see the scores of No Parking signs which line the drive to the river. In my opinion this appears to be a tremendous waste of funds and takes away from the aesthetics of the surrounding environment. Why not post just a few signs that say Park in Designated Areas Only - instead of dozens of awful looking unnatural signage? Was there an existing problem with parking that required these signs?
Not much to look at. River was very high and swift.
Great access to Potomac River -
Easy and quiet
Well kept
Lame.Dont go here
