Gorgeous, expansive location. A ton of trails to walk alone, with your family, your dog, plus I have even seen horses been ridden there too. Well maintained grounds, very clean, although I didnt see any trash cans around but we took our trash home with us anyway. Worth noting professional photographer need a permit to take pics here. It was gorgeous on this fresh fall day.
This is a well maintained park. Many hiking trails and horse trails as well. Very clean and tranquil. The historic houses (by paid fee to visit inside) are interesting and the tour guides are knowledgeable. There are many activities that go on throughout the year here, but hiking is available year round and is by far my favourite thing about the park.
Wow, didnt even know anything about this landmark until we sort of wandered in on a weekend. What a wonderful estate to visit with the well taken care of grounds, hiking trails and museums. Going to have to visit a few more times to get the full experience but Im sure it will be one of those places we will frequent.
Me and my family love coming to Morven Park, but I just wish the “sidewalks” and areas that are gravel were a little more stroller friendly! It’s a little hard to push a stroller around on the gravel but besides that we always have a good time !
Awesome neighborhood hike trail. Easier if you hike clockwise around the loop.
Efficient check in. Friendly service. Great cuts and great price!
What a beautiful park. A fun place to get away and enjoy the bucolic Virginia countryside. Some beautiful sports fields as well
The buildings were closed. The grounds are beautiful to walk through. Very worthwhile to visit. Very peaceful.
Wonderful place to walk! The path up the hill is rocky but nice.
What a great place to visit and walk the grounds and see the historic mansion that was once the governors mansion a long time ago. Great history here and well worth the admission price.
It was a nice trail. Enjoyed it very much.
While we are all in quarantine, my kids and I have been in search of any place where we can go for a walk and be out in nature. Morven park is a great place for this! Without vehicles allowed in the park, the long road up to the parking lot is now a big open place for people to walk, bike, and run. Its a great place for kids to get their energy out and enjoy the sunshine.
Very nice. Great for the kids
Loved this park. Beautiful grounds and a few walking hikes in the property. We didnt get to see the museums but tours are reasonably priced and all the staff we encountered were nice and informative. There was an event in the equestrian center and we got to see some horses jump around and do tricks. Well definitely come back to check out the museums once is cooler, this would be a great place to appreciate fall foliage.
I love this place!! Scenic, nice management. MOSTLY BECAUSE JANA S. WORKS HERE.
Ample parking space.
This is a place my wife and I would come so many years ago and have picnics. We chose to get married here, however at that time there was a stipulation we had to have this terrible brewery cater the wedding. The food was SO bad, and I was told I (the groom) couldnt have chicken tenders (my favorite food that no self respecting restaurant can do wrong). The son of one of my groomsmen saved the day by bussing out chicken tenders to everyone. As a park I give it 5 stars. As a marriage venue I give it 4 stars. As a marriage venue with the stipulation I can only use a specific caterer I give it 1 star. Since their relationship with the brewery may have changed since it went out of business, I dont know what Id rate it, but make sure you have a 12 year old to step up and save the day just in case. Also, they keep sending my wife postage addressing her as Ms. You would think they would have a database for customers who were married there, and address them appropriately.
Pretty location, fun to wander. Bring the kids, grandkids, and enjoy the gardens, a picnic, some history, or one of the many events hosted here.
Went here for the ladies board rummage sale. Parking is ok, but early birds get to the back of the lot and move forward, odd. Many improvements to the site lately. Looks great. Id like to come here for an actual horse event.
Spacious and nice.
One of Leesburgs gem parks and in northern Virginia for that matters. Hiking trails are great!
Morven Park is a treasure in Loudoun County, beautiful location and grounds visit the mansion or bring a picnic and spend the afternoon surrounded by quiet, lush gardens or go for a hike in the nearby trails. The property itself is a true legacy worth seeing, I find it interesting to learn about how people lived in those days and how a small house became a mansion as owners changed hands. The Trust responsible for the upkeep of the property does a wonderful jobRecommended.
Beautiful grounds, great place to walk
Nice gravel loop for xc style biking. If you look, you can find some roots to hit and little drops to spice it up a bit. When the weather is nice, lots of foot traffic and dogs so share the road.
Hiked the trails with family. Not difficult at all but nice and pleasant. Civil War encampment pretty cool.
Beautiful grounds. Lovely historical building with tour.
The hunting dog trial were entertaining and interesting.
Aesthetically appealing ... even serenely meditative.
Nice fields. Good parking. Port a potties could have been better stocked.
Nice large grassy park with lots of open spaces.. they have a ton of equestrian events here like jumping. Every spring they have my favorite event - the native plant sale where various vendors come to sell plants that grow natively in virginia. The park is really nice for kids to run around in and theres a historic house you can visit too.
Beautiful well preserve. You are going to fall in love with this view, the house and the knowledgeable guide.
Athletic fields were in great condition for the USGAA Gaelic Games National Tournament.
What a gorgeous location! Open fields, dog- friendly. Great for a picnic.
Stunningly beautiful park and sports venue on the outskirts of leesburg
Gorgeous park and a mansion that you can tour. Highly recommend.
I am so lucky to live near this beautiful place. The rolling hills and multiple horizon lines, early morning mist and the chance of seeing the deer are the first thing I think of most mornings, motivating me to get moving. The carefully maintained trees offer a season-changing education as they change shape, color and smell. There are many other interesting aspects, such as the history, the tour of the lovely white columned house and athletic events involving horses and dogs as well as people, but the serenity of this place is the main offering.
The grounds and house are beautiful. They need to have more/better signage in regards to where to go. This is especially true for handicap persons. The website also needs to be clearer on the house tours time.
This is a humongous park in NW Leesburg, just down the street from Ida Lee. Does not have the same activities and structures that Ida Lee does, so if youre looking for somewhere to take your kids, Ida Lee is probably the better bet. But if youre looking for a more scenic place to walk/run or are looking for wildlife, this is your place. Its got beautiful rolling hills. Ive never seen it crowded, though the mansion does host weddings so Im sure that gets busy.Athletic fields and horse pens are on the North side of the park. Also, if youre looking for the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy, its in the SE corner by Fairview and Old Waterford Rd, not where the map shows.
Great park to visit and especially the grand house is well worth the visit. This is a hidden gem and the staff is very nice and well informed about the history.
Incredibly beautiful park in all seasons.
Beautiful grounds and walking trails!
Clean and multiple fields. Need better labeling of the fields online.
A Sunday drive to relax a bit.
Very well maintained public park and athletic fields.
Great scenery for photography! Absolutely beautiful location.
Great area, and great staff. Always a good event to go to.
Amazing pristene soccer fields. Beautiful grounds and horse areas. Gorgeous Park and historic Homesite
Great facility. Wonderful Leesburg asset.
Buildings and grounds are beautiful, the history is very interesting. Not photographer friendly, no professional photos allowed and I was asked not to take photos of a carriage ride even with my old cell phone. Fantastic place for walking your dogs though.
This park is lovely. Theres great walking and exploring options
Wonderful place for adults, children and pets ... Soccer, equestrian or just a nice walk in the park . Enjoy the outdoors far away from the hordes.
It was awesome have a lot of fun
Beautiful locale. Looking forward to visiting again.
Good place for a Sunday afternoon hike.
Beautiful public park, that is a hidden Leesburg gem.
Enjoy the trails while the kids practice soccer.
This place has lots of lands to explore. Its quite but tons off road route(gravels).
Nice peaceful place to just go for a walk.
Historic location with great scenery, walkable trails and knowledgeable staff
A beautiful home and important piece of Virginia history. Its amazing how many original pieces are still in the house. Very well maintained and a joy to visit. The grounds are truly stunning.
Nice little park thats easy to get to and rarely ever crowded. Nice place for quiet walks, relaxing picnics, kite/drone-flying, and easy bike rides.
$10.00 for parking while attending a rugby tournament. Thats $10/day. Porta potties disgusting. Food overpriced. No toilet paper. Facilities poor.Would not recommend. Zero stars.
Beautiful place! Well groomed and scenic! November 2018
The park itself was beautiful but the staff were never around for the tour through tge museum. We visited the website for tour times and arrived in plenty of time to enjoy a short walk through the garden. Tried 3 different times to buy tickets for the tour, doors locked and staff not around. Saw saw beautiful countryside but the drive out was pretty wasted.
Morven park has hiking trails, meeting rooms and a historic mansion on a great expanse of open fields and forrested slopes.
Beautiful setting for a XC meet
Morgan Park has lots to see and so much to learn from. The trails are beautiful and expansive. You can See a huge section of the Leesburg Conglomerate at the park by the library. A nice playground with a pavilion as well.
Fascinating historic home with lots of current excavation and research regarding slavery, families, and the plantation owner. Informative talks with authentic historical items you can touch.
Tour of a beautiful mansion. Amazing views of expansive equestrian grounds. Hiking trails in the mountains. Just gorgeous.so close to leesburg but a different era.
Beautiful well preserve estate. You are going to fall in love with the views, the house and the knowledgeable guide.
Amazing grounds! Great for a picnic and walk. Learn some history also
Excellent hiking. Sports fields. Horse riding and a beautiful mansion tour
Nice fields!
Interesting place. Tour guide was enthusiastic about the history of the owner(s) and the mansion, which was great. Grounds were very nicely kept. The pardoned turkeys go here after the president spares them.
Beautiful place for a couple hours visit, not much to do if you are planning a whole-day trip.*This review is about the mention and small are around it. For info about trails and weddings please read other reviews.*
This park is a must see! Take the time to do the tour of the mansion to learn about the amazing history of the area - its fascinating!! The location is incredibly beautiful, especially in the fall! Great for day picnics, hiking, photos, etc
Love this park.
Excellent we had a very informed tour guide and she could answer all questions.
A very nice place (I loved Leesburg), but I never saw restroom facilities.
Lovely l. We were there for a rugby tournament, fields are great, parking is plentiful.
Really nice equestrian facilities.
Very nice place to visit. I went there twice in the morning and it was very quite and peaceful.
Got some nice trees.
Amazing grounds. Home of Boo Daddys Harlot Fest a yearly event social rugby at its finest.
Nice, knowledgeable guide. Great home, govna and wife had some a unique taste in furniture. Not a lot of history on original builders/owners.
Great place for a wall or hike. Historical and full of cool geocaches
