So enjoyable! The food was awesome! A Thanksgiving Feast was served with all the trimmings. The Captain gave us a wonderful history about the Riverboat. And the view was beautiful!

Great experience with wedding on boat and travel through the river. Smooth operation.Could have been a little more discrete in service.Wonderful lighting- also 1/4 of the lights did not light up properly. Kind of drove me crazy for a little bit.

I should have posted this back when this happened but I participated in the Be A Tourist in your own town. We had issues from the get go. It took us awhile to get going then when we did we got snagged up in some trees, and was stuck for hours. I also went down to use the bathroom and water was dripping on me by the bar/ bathrooms. When we finally got unstuck I was so ready to be off of there. The weather was bad which may have caused some issues.I’ve been on this boat once before for a wedding and it wasn’t bad, it does need repairs (no one wants water dripping on them while standing at the bar or heading to the bathroom). I hope my experience for my class reunion is better.

Capt Chris had a rough cruise. DJ didnt show. Muffler went. Had to go back to the dock. However, he managed to keep music going through most of the dinner. We got back to port. We picked up a DJ. The food was great. We danced til 11pm and the cruise even tossed in an open bar. The Captain said we will get compensated for the cruise. I dont think there is a need. After a rocky start they ultimately hosted a very fun evening. Thanks for the great party!

We didnt take a dinner cruise, just a 90 minute tour of the Grand River in Lansing on a warm summers night. They have plenty of inside seating places, a decent bar, and an upper deck to wave to the people on shore. The river isnt very deep or wide, but it was something fun to do. The staff was friendly and the captain let you into the wheelhouse and provided interesting stories about the river and the paddle boat.

Had a wonderful time during the Halloween Blues cruise! Lots of people in costumes, great rib dinner and Freddy Cunningham & Root Doctor lit up the stage, kept the dance floor filled during as we cruised the Grand River.

I attended College Night on the boat, and had a great experience. The boat itself is pretty, especially with all of the string lights around the outside, and the ride was smooth and enjoyable. There is a fairly good-sized dance floor, great music, and other games and entertainment. What really made my experience, though, was the staff. They are genuine, kind people who have their customers best interests at heart. My friends and I ran into a bit of an uncomfortable situation while on the boat (not the fault of anyone there), and they handled it with grace and kindness. I would definitely recommend the Riverboat to anyone looking to have a good time!

We were on the Lansing Princess. The food is FABULOUS! The history lesson on the boat by the captain was very interesting.But a lot of the boats upper floor is raggedy and rotted. and the first floor carpet needs to be cleaned. It smells stale. However, the all you can eat food and desserts evened out with these short comings. The live band was fun and great too.

Fun thing to do for a date night and if you check their website they have various cruise events going on throughout the year.

It was a nice, clean environment...each floor had a bar which was convenient. The finger foods were delicious and plentiful. The DJ was awesome, but what made this a pleasurable experience was the staff...they were engaging and kind! I give this experience up!!!

Went on the 90 cruise had a awesome time it was like one big happy family. Cant wait to go on my next cruise. The staff couldnt have been better.

We booked for a 50th class reunion and couldnt have been happier. The buffet meal was good and we had the Sea Cruisers band for entertainment. Lots of dancing to the oldies and good times had by all. The wait staff were super.

The meal was good, the scenery was pleasant. The staff was congenial. I was there fo a business meeting so it wasnt their standard tour. It does give the feel of an old paddlewheel steamer.

What a lovely boat in Lansing! I went on the summer brews cruise and it was fantastic. A great way to spend a Michigan summer evening.

Fun night out Murder mystery dinner. The food was soooooo delicious!!! Great job to the chefs. I was going to do the Mothers day brunch, just couldnt afford $60 a person.

Fun atmosphere and good food. Entertainment was enjoyable and the river boat was exciting!

My date and I attended the New Years Party on the Michigan Princess. I agree with all the other reviews that the food was great! There was a nice band with good music, good service etc, etc . . . But what made the biggest impact on me was how I was handled when the partnership with the Ramada Hotel & Conference Center by Wyndham Lansing (to shuttle guests back and forth) did not work out as smoothly as it should have (due to lack of specificity during advertising). The Michigan Princess was gracious enough to provide an incentive for our inconvenience while the Ramada gave nothing but lip service. Hooray to the folks at the Michigan Princess for being truly customer friendly!!!

Says its open 24hrs but nobody was there when we got there. And we drove from an hour away. Also nobody to answer the phone.

My friends and I went for that New Years Eve party and were extremely disappointed! The tables were squished together to accommodate as many people as they could fit which made it very uncomfortable. And the food was horrible!! The prime rib was so well done that you could hardly cut it with a knife, much less chew it. And the rest of the food on the buffet was barely warm.

Gary did a great job of making sure everyone had what they needed to eat and enjoyed the cruise

Great food, good entertainment but the booking staff needs work. I was celebrating my girlfriends birthday with friends and family. I tried to surprise her with flowers being delivered to our table by a local florist but the management of the boat refused to allow them on the boat. Im not sure why but we respected their decision. The tables were extremely close together so it was very difficult to go to the bar and get your drinks but all in all it was a good experience and would do it again.

Attended a wedding, was a great setting for that! The cruise was relaxing.The boat needs lots of work. Was not impressed with the upper deck at all, actually kind of disappointed. It was not set up nice at all and needs repairs and paint bad. Overall the whole boat needs updating.The food itself had good flavor but was not warm. I understand its hard to do when its brought in. But it was mediocre at best for the money that was spent. Should be over the top and extra special.Make me want to come back.All in all it was a good time. Attention to detail would make me brag and recommend it to others!

Came here for the NYE river boat cruise and it was surprisingly really nice. They ask you to be there around 8pm and the boat embarks on the river cruise soon after. The boat ride is very smooth and unless you go on the upper deck or look out the windows its hard to tell you are moving. They serve a buffet styler dinner and the food is delicious. The wait staff works hard to make sure you have everything you need. Its a cash bar with reasonable prices. Time went by so fast, from eating, to exploring, to dancing next thing we knew it was 2019! We had a great time, Highly recommend!

Went to the New Years Celebration, had a good time. Dinner and the band were amazing. Bartenders were backed up a bit at first, but they caught up and overall did well. Worth every cent.

I am so happy that I choose the riverboat for my wedding venue! The food was awesome, the staff was extremely helpful and it was so nice to have to air conditioning! I was so impressed with how involved the staff was to make sure the day went perfectly. The chef even came over to introduce himself and congratulate us before the food was served. Thankfully the weather was nice so we were able to leave the dock and cruise up and down the river which lots of people really enjoyed watching.

Beautiflly restored riverboat.Was hoping for a bigger showcase of musical entertainment, although the boat trip was pleasant and fun.

Smooth sailing all the way except they need a bigger parking lot. Many of us parked on grass on a hill. Had to walk down that grassy hill. I have physical and balance issues so was scared to walk down. At the end of the cruise it was dark so walking up that hill was not going to happen. I asked an employee if someone could bring my car to me. No delay in saying of course. So for a $5 tip I was safe and sound, and so thankful, on my drive home!!

I was here for a conference excursion. I am not quite sure how to handle this review since my issue relates to the catering. Even then, the conference organizers may be to blame... I am not sure. I indicated that I was vegan when I registered for the conference. However, there was little to no vegan offerings on board. Other than that, the experience was fine. Especially pretty sunset.

Overall a fun experience and great place for a semiformal. Food was good and staff were friendly. The DJ that they hired this time was not great, last years DJ was much better.

Went to the murder mystery with my wife and it was pretty fun. It was a cheesy set, but very entertaining. The food was great so thats always a plus!

This is such a fun something to do in Lansing. I was on a general lunch cruise and the food was GREAT! The views are interesting and the cruise is relaxing. I wish it had been longer.

Had a great time, the staff was pleasant and the food was really good. We enjoyed the live entertainment and dancing as well as the choices of over 70 craft beers on each of the 3 levels. And if you dont like beer, they had a liquor bar on the second floor.

New year eve party, no snacks after dinner, floors outside very slippery, snow stil on the rails, our reservation was for 4, they put us in the over flow upstairs due to messing reservations up. Went to get my dinner, out of plates and waited for someone to stock them back up. Very disappointed. Will not be back.

Good time riding on the river

The experience was wonderful as a whole! There is a lot of obvious things in disrepair but as a general rule they didnt distract from the larger experience.

Staff is friendly, food is great, view is great, but the boat could use a lot of cosmetic work. Could be because it is March, but I hope they get on it soon.

We had a fantastic time on the Michigan Princess, the food and the entertainment was spot-on, and it was a wonderful venue for a casual business meeting. I Look to go back and take the family.

I tried not to complain about a free ride from Be. A Tourist in Your Town, but we waited for more than an hour and a half to board the boat. We were told there was a 3pm boat, but that didnt ever happen and instead the boat finally showed at 4pm. We then took the slowest ride down the river, saw nothing interesting and there was no narration or anything to make it fun.

I took my mother for her birthday. Full buffet and a live band that went to each table to play a song. It was a beautiful view and day. We went to the top floor to view and took pictures.

Was very nice The food was great You do have a couple small leaks that need to be repaired carpet on main floor got wet and stained bottom of my dress. Despite that I had a fantastic time Staff was great and everything was beautiful

I have been on the Michigan Princess as a guest and a performer and our friends and fans love this place. There is nothing like it in mid Michigan. The food is great, beer is cold and drinks are just right. I have found the staff to be friendly, outgoing and courteous and the captain has always been around to answer questions about the history of the boat and gone out of his way to make sure we were accommodated in every way.The boat has three decks, a cash bar (there was an ATM available on site), and I have been there when they have run a normal menu and a buffet menu. Both were great.It is an old triple decker riverboat but it has been maintained and updated and have always felt right at home whenever I walk through their doors.I highly recommend this place for all occasions.

I truly enjoyed the experience in and on the Michigan Princess. We were fortunate to have exceptional visuals of fog rolling in from every direction. The waitstaff and bartenders were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I will visit on board this fine vessel on future occasions.

Great food/music

Had a great time on the Michigan Princess celebrating our 40 year class reunion. The food was great and service top notch as well. The band played a good selection of music with classic songs from the 60s, 70s and some R&B too. Will probably take another cruise before the season is over.

Boat Needs A Good Renovation and Cleaning. The food was good. The boat needs to be cleaned. I could smell the distinct smell of mold. I was sitting right next to the air ducts. There needs to be some replaced amenities on the boat. Things are showing their age.

Food & ride were just Ok! Also hardto find. @ the price would not go again. Fall 2017!
