Great place for calm and to be in nature. A few trails cut across the property and one goes down along the river. Lots of benches scattered throughout for contemplative moments. Really a nice little treasure of a place to be in nature!
There is abundant wildlife to observe and nice unimproved trails along the Grand River and through the prairie. Spring Peepers and Chorus Frogs can be heard at night. Evidence of the old farm and house can be found if you look closely.
Nice quite place.for an enjoyable walk.
Nice dirt/grass trails that tie into Hawk Meadow Park across the street as well. More nature and secluded than Hawk Meadow, but also MUCH less walkable when its at all wet out/rained recently. A large section of the trails follow the river for a while which is nice, and theres some fun little plank bridges to cross.
Nice trails. Seen 2 huge adult sandhill cranes and 1 juvenile. Seen 2 young deer. ALOT of MI wild flowers. Heard so many different kinds of birds singing, spotted few. Nice places to sit and rest. Only seen 1 other person there, but many vehicles in the parking area. Seen a hateful old white woman smoking in the parking lot and being aggressive towards a brown guy with a baby. Im pretty sure brown guys can enjoy the park BUT I think there is a law against smoking in MI parks.
Nice place to take a walk
A hidden gem for any nature lovers. Arguably more deer than birds in this place, though Im certainly not complaining. Trails are mowed, though the surrounding brush grows back over them. Jeans might not be a bad idea, but I managed with shorts just fine. Bugs arent too bad, but go ahead and apply bug spray if you have it. The views here are awesome and not what you would expect from the road. There are a few benches scattered along the trails and at least one picnic table.
This is an amazing place to relax
Great place to hike or ski along the Grand River.
Nice hiking trail along the river, trail can be hard to follow in some areas though.
Beautiful, road less traveled Oasis.
Beautiful Kayak Trip
Awesome natural area
